Gyu-Kaku - Cerritos
Traditionally called Yakiniku, this Japanese barbecue spot is known for their delicious, fresh (never frozen), high-quality meats!
Enjoy an ice cold beer as you grill your own meat. Happy Hours offer the best deals on food and drinks, so be sure to wind down and get the night started right with us.
Service was lacking completely. Our server never came back for refills, we had to track down another server just to get those. We ordered items and never received them. When asked we were told they will check on them but never followed through. $140 for three people was absurd for the service or the lack there of.
The food variety is excellent. The all-you-can-eat option is wonderful. The service was great and the servers were very helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Japanese BBQ
Great service and food! Staff was very attentive and kind. Food is always great. Thank you for acknowledging our mom’s at the table!
I liked the restaurant , food was good. the service was slow and what did not like was waiting for 20 min. with reservations .
Always an amazing time! The food is delicious and the servers are always polite!
Had to wait 25 minutes befor we were seated.
The service was excellent ! The food was o.k. overall I would say if you haven’t been try it.
Ive been a long time fan of gyu kaku. Cerritos is my favorite location of them all!
They seem to have different offerings than other locations.
I love to take advantage of the deals... super happy hour on tuesday and Wednesday 2-5pm where they have a special menu thats 50% off select items. I also love their 3 item lunch sets! You can really get full on 10.5 ounces of meat!
Whenever i come here, i get great service, but today was exceptional!
Kelsey was our server and she went above and beyond w her service and great recommendations. Manager was super accommodating also!
Be sure to sign up for their gyu kaku rewards program too!!
We saw an advertising for cinco de mayo misoladas. Omg.... i cant wait to try them!!
First time my family are hear and they loved it!
Great food and a nice environment. Really enjoyed my experience
Restaurant is overwhelmingly short staffed. Hostess was extremely busy upon arrival and also helped bus tables and clean the floor while tending to those waiting.
My fiance and I really enjoy the experience at Gyu-Kaku. The food is amazing and the service is excellent
love this restaurant, bring in many friends already. Quality of foods are not stable, some of stuffs treat customers differently, but which is not nice
Overall the food was good, the service was just a little slower than last time. It took a long time to get our food out to us. Ambience and atmosphere is good.
The waiter was very eagered to get rid of us. As soon as we started eating, he asked us if we wanted the check. Didnt offer anymore assistance and didnt offer dessert.
Great food I absolutely love this restaurant. Will definitely come back often.
I’ve been to Gyu-Kaku in Pasadena and Cerritos. Personally would go to Pasadena instead. The girl in the front (who took us to our table) didn’t really make us feel welcomed. She just seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I mentioned on reservations it was hubbys bday lunch and had to remind the waitress 2times. We also got the lunch special and didnt received our miso soups. Mentioned it to waitress and she offered it AFTER THE FACT. Didn’t offer any substitute. Just said “OH I FORGOT WANT IT NOW?” Literally after we paid.
Valerie our server was amazing. Great personality and awesome service. The food is always great, fresh and cooked perfectly.
Awesome venue! First time visiting the place. Our server, Angel, was extremely friendly, and helpful in helping us get around the menu as first-timers. The hostess was great as well, gave us a mini lesson on the Japanese greeting and farewell as you came in and out of the restaurant. The food was a bit pricy, but well worth it. Excellence experience all around! Will definitely be coming back.
Hey didn’t forks. They gave us plastic forks. The 32oz beer mugs were not cold. So I had to order 12oz . Bad experience
We made a reservation for 9PM and we had to wait until 9:50 PM to get seated because they were "backed up". I'm not sure what the purpose of having reservations as an option is, when you can't honor or seat at an appropriate time. Overall, the food is great, service, etc. I'd just rather not have expectations of being seated at a certain time with reservation and have to wait 50 minutes after.
I love this restaurant, for the first time we tried the All you can eat - DO NOT get it if you tend not to finish your food. We learned the hard way. They charged us for food that was unfinished.! And they didn't tell us before hand.
We got overcharged for drinks that were included in the meal but the waiter was so nice we just let it slide. The restaurant was quite loud due to it being completely full. However, the food was extremely good and the service was amazing!
I had the opportunity to try out the restaurant along with my mother a few years when Dine LA was taking place. I fell in love with the food and the service so this time I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend there since she hadn’t been there before. We had an amazing time and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t tried Gyu-Kaku to give it a try.
Everything was great. Little bit slow. But the staff was wonderful. Food was very good. But it was expensive. Overall love it.
Really good they took really good care of us
Great service and great quality of food.
I’d recommend this spot honestly for anything!! It’s a great spot to go eat and enjoy some time!! Drinks are bomb!! Food is Delicious, Just perfect!!
I love this place. Excellent Food. Great Services!!
Mona was great and very attentive. She had a great attitude and customer service skills.
Slow service, it's unbelievable that the restaurant ran out of rice and had to wait 15 mins for a new one to be cooked. An asian restaurant should not be running out of rice in the middle of dinner hour. Kitchen should have been managed more efficiently
We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back soon!
Koo ok. Good love it
Used to be good... but not anymore... the service was whatever... may not come back and fooorrrrsure not recommending this place to ANYONE!
It is a bit more expensive than some of the other AYCE kbbq in the area but the food quality is better, the waits are much shorter, and the attentiveness of the staff is sharper.
We enjoy Gyu-Kaku, especially at holidays when other restaurants are closed, like Christmas. Like the food, the service is a little slow, but the overall experience is good.
Our server Angel was awesome! He made the experience extra special. Great job, Angel !
We all got the All You Can Eat Premium selection, and even though it was the cheapest of the 3 selections it did not disappoint. The meat selection and sides were on point! We even tried all 4 s'mores flavors. Service was great and very attentive. We definitely got our money's worth, and left very full and happy 🙂
