Our waiter was great
Great food 👌 and customer service oriented led by a very considerate manager!
Best food and service!!
It was Just what we expected it to be like. The food was good, the service was great!
My wife and I dined in for lunch, the food was good and our service was very pleasant.
would definitely return.
I ordered the all premium all you can eat and it was amazing. Every single thing we ordered was delicious... I don’t even know half of what I was eating. Our server was amazing as well, giving great recommendations since it was our first time here. I would 100% go again and recommend to others.
Went to enjoy Valentines Day
Third time eating here, still as great as the first time. Great experience and value.
Overall experience was good. It took awhile to be serviced, but once our waitress arrived it was fine. Restaurant ran out of Kids menus.
I took my team here for dinner. They all loved their experience and the food.
New staff? Definitely not as good in terms of service as it used to b. Food about the same..good.
The food was delicious. Our family enjoyed the Dine in LA lunch special. The service was impeccable and we will be returning soon.
Very good. Accommodating and understanding as usual.
Great food. Every time. My faves: Gyu kaku Salad / Garlic Noodles / Harami Miso Steak .
Good food and great service!!!
Angel was very sweet and helpful to my family. We were a large group but he was awesome with all of us.
We went there with book 3days before but we went front 20min so long. Restaurant is not busy yet and their are enough service people, why so slow. Lady said our computer is not working now. We were just standing. I can’t understand there service
Our food was good and our server was excellent. Going to the Cerritos location you want a male to wait on you because the females time you to the second and don't come around often. We ordered the all you can eat for 90 minutes - $32. They have a good selection, but 4 premium meats were missing off the menu and they no longer have flavored marshmallows (my favorite lemon) just a regular boring marshmallow for smores. With that being said I think I won't be going back. I'd rather try another place similar. Dessert was a major part of this meal.
Will definitely return and cook my meal, it’s a fun and enjoyable place to eat. Good food and food atmosphere
Overall, I like this place but the quality of service received this time around at this location was not good. We were getting one item at a time so only one of us could cook (one item at a time) and eat as well. We had to wait about 20 minutes for most of our items because the kitchen was thawing out meat due to a large party that arrived before us. The waiter never told us until inquired about the rest of our food and someone else had already complained about his lack of service to the manager. I understand being short staffed, but...
It all started out perfectly, got seated, server got our, was patient with explaining the menu, our food came out promptly....then after that, I had asked for a refill, which I waited for awhile to get, our combo was missing one dish (appetizer/small dish) that we never got...until I asked for it when our server asked if we were ready for the check. I asked him about the missing dish as well as the dessert that came with the combo - as I was expecting for all of that to come out before the check.
After waiting a good 15 mins, our server told us that they ran out of that dish, but never offered to sub it with something else or adjust the check. I asked for either option and finally after waiting for another 10 mins or so, we got a sub dish which was uncooked so we spent another 5 mins waiting for it to cook on the grill so we can just pack it and take it home.
My bill came out to be over $100 for 2 (with no alcohol) so I think I paid for the type of service where I’m not constantly waiting for all of my food to come out.....
I know it’s not the server’s fault but the service was lacking that evening, maybe it was NYE and maybe they were understaffed but from a consumer’s stand point, when I’m playing over $50 pp, I expect more than subpar service. I go to this location all of the time and usually they are on point, just that night was off.
Maybe I’ll try another location or another establishment with like style food and we’ll see what type of service vs price point o get, just to compare.
Great food at affordable prices!
I love gyu but I will personally never return to this location again. Whole experience was horrible and my server was not on his game
My boyfriend and I came for our Christmas Night meal after work. It was both our first time going and it was a nice change from the typical Korean bbq we usually do. We opted for their special menu that they had for the holidays and it was a great price for the amount of food they provide for you. I was also surprised that there was a good amount of people in the restaurant at 9pm on a cold, rainy night. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to trying their AYCE menu next time.
The service was great and the manager even checked up on us twice, but this was our first time visiting this location and the first time of all Gyu-Kaku’s that the food wasn’t that great. The majority of our meat was salty. We ordered a holiday special, so there was a variety of different meat, but only one of them (Toro) was good, the rest was super salty. We mentioned this to the manager at the end of our meal, and he apologized and said it might be the miso that may have been marinated salty. That was it. Not sure if they fixed it, and also not sure if I would try this place again.
The food variety is good, you can spice things up as you like!
The food is good, the customer service is great, love the experience!
We have a group of 7 people with two stoves tops, one of the stove not working well. The food was semi cold and need to wait for a long time to cook the meats and vegetables as well. I like my food hot, well done and juicy, very disappointed!!
They recently changed their menu which brought some new exciting options! On the flip side the cheese wontons have changed which is usually what brings us to come here. Sadly we won’t be able to have the old style anymore, which means we probably will visit less often, but it still is a great restaurant and the happy hour is great value.
We had a great time. The food was delicious and the manager was awesome. The service was terrific and we look forward to going back.
Good quality meats and appetizers. Service quickness can be improved.
The service was not that great either because it was too busy but it took forever for the food to get us, other times we have gone, the service was better
Service was not as good as expected had to remind waitress of the order
Great experience. Great service and amazing tasting food.
The service tends to me mediocre but the food is always great. However this visit around I got Valerie as my server and she was outstanding!
Pretty poor service. Waiter needed to be reminded to bring several things. Several things took a long time to come out. When they did come out, some items were not properly seasoned according to the menu. We ordered garlic shrimp, for instance and were given plain, unseasoned, unmarinated shrimp for example. The plain shrimp not withstanding, the food was very good for the most part, as has been my experience with other gyu-kakus in the past, but the service really left a lot to be desired.
We used to recommend gyu kaku to everyone. Friends will send us picture of them eating at GK without us.
We frequent GK at least once a week.
This last time we went, we seen the menu changed. All of our favorites have changed.
It’s not even worth the drive or price for the big changes.
We almost left when we seen the new menu but my bf was cutting weight for a tournament that day and just wanted to eat. So we stayed. He said we probably won’t go back, I agree.
Thank you for a great time. Always service with a smile
