I dined at GYU-KAKU on Friday; April 6th with my husband and son. The service was excellent, the manager, Luz stopped my table and explained the menu in detail to us. Luz was very professional and EXTREMELY patient with us. The general manager also stopped by and asked us if we enjoyed our meal. I luv the Beverly Hills location. My family and I will be celebrating my son’s senior graduation dinner at this location in June. I can’t wait😃

We love dining at Gyu-Kaku! Delicious food at a good price. Great deals on drinks too! A+ Service. Friendly staff. One Tip: Unless your dining before 6pm, make a reservation.

Slowest service ever....not one fork available for my 85 year old mother. Disappointed

Had a reservation at 815, didn’t get seated until 845. Front staff was clearly misquoting people on the amount of time they would wait. Super disappointing because we usually love gyu. Food and service was great.

Place is amazing. If you are at the Beverly Hills location ask for Mark. He's my go to guide for the gluten free world of Gyu-kaku. The sweet soy and spicy soy on the table are gluten free (don't touch the ponzu). Also you can order meats and chicken without the marinade. The salt and pepper and basal marinades are gluten free. You can get the veggies without the sauces. Love this place. Mark, as always you are my homeboy.

We came here because the person I came with really loved the time we came here for lunch. We came for a last minute date night and totally loved it. Our waiter Paul was so awesome!

We were seated right away for our reservation. The staff was very friendly, the service was great, and the food was delicious.

A friend suggested us to go here. We were greeted and sat right away. We had one server that started us and then another that took over bc of section changes--though that wasnt clear until we asked what happened.(assumed it was a team style type service) The first server new this was our first time, but didnt really walk us through the experience like the second one did half-way through. He was nice, but not super engaging--he seemed more concerned w cleaning and doing his side work. Therefore I think we missed out on some experiences of how to order etc. For example we didnt know until almost the end that if you order food and dont eat it there is a waste charge.

The food...the chicken items were boring compared to the beef and shrimp. they had much more flavor and just melted in your mouth. the garlic noodles were the best noodles i have had. We had broccoli and zucchini as veggies and both were great. the chili dumplings were not great--too salty and lacked anything fun the crispy rice tuna was great and so was the miso soup. the macaroons were great and the fun take on the s'mores were a fun take as well.

now that we have been and learned some info it will make next time much easier--will def go there again and excited about all the different locations around the world.

I’ve been a few times. It was everything I expected. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I’m a great cook. LOL The only drawback was the ventilation. With all those “stoves” there should be more fans to draw out the smoke. I definitely recommend this place. It’s fun and casual.

despite being packed the service was attentive and friendly. They care about their customers whoi are of all ages.

I used to love this location but ever since they started the "all you can eat" promotion it's really gone downhill. The service is rushed, the food has lost its touch, and the restaurant is full of knuckleheads taking sake bombs. I don't think I will be going again for a while.

Great place to eat Japanese BBQ during happy hour. Worth the money for the amount of meat and sides you get. I don't know anyone that doesn't like Gyu-Kaku. Just parking sucks at the Beverly Hills location. The valet parking has very rude workers who stand around and ignore you then get mad at you if you complain about their poor service. I drove around for 45 mins looking for parking instead of allowing them to park my car because they were so rude. Customers before me took off too due to their rude service.

We made a reservation at 8pm for 5 people. I called in asking if we can change it for 7ppl in which they confirmed they can. When I got there they couldn't find my reservation and then proceeded to make me wait 50 minutes and when they sat me down it was at a 5 person table. I asked the general manager if I could move to a table of 8 because they were getting up soon and she told me someone else was coming for 8 people. After 20 minutes I asked again as the table was still open and they usually cancel reservations after 15 minutes. She said no again. This experience was a horrible, she was rude and cold and offered no help. Its sad because I come here once a week sometimes twice a week to eat. She didn't offer any compensation and didnt even really say sorry at all.

Went to try the DineLA menu. It was delicious and alot of delicious food. $29 dinner

Great meal and fun experience. Service was prompt without being overly solicitous and extremely helpful with recommendations on cooking, etc. Kind of fun cooking your own food!

Everything about it was horrible... they do not deserve one star

I really like this place however was a little disappointed in the experience.

Had to have the whole group (7 of us) relocate to another table since the ventilation was not working. While that was ok I guess, it kind of was a hassle since we were well into our first course.

Secondly it took forever to get my other meat dish I ordered. After asking for it I didn't really enjoy it as I was mostly through my meal. It ended up being out of sequence and not very enjoyable so far into the meal.
