Gyu-Kaku - Beverly Hills, CA
Traditionally called Yakiniku, this Japanese barbecue spot is known for their delicious, fresh (never frozen), high-quality meats!
Enjoy an ice cold beer as you grill your own meat. Happy Hours offer the best deals on food and drinks, so be sure to wind down and get the night started right with us.
Good quality wasn’t good and portions were cut in half.
I would recommend someone who wants to grab a simple dinner with friends or family. In my opinion, for general visit in Beverly Hills... I would not recommend anyone to come in if they want to fancy up a nice dinner. That place is good for people just want to stop by and eat. I found this uninteresting because I tried the same restaurant in NYC and it was extremely delicious than here. At least, I tried to eat here and found that less pleasant, not equivalent to NYC.
Very good food, friendly staff. This location is quite rundown, though, needing many repairs, fresh coats of paint (especially in the graffitied men’s room), and general upkeep. It hasn’t been maintained well.
Great BBQ place, the food is very good and staffs are friendly
Love this place. I think it's time to invest in new seating.. The fabric is tearing
The place needs a good scrubbing. Grimey.
This is my favorite restaurant. I love coming here when I get the chance, overall love the food and service here.
Azeez was our server, he was very knowledgeable and patient with us.
It was fine
I came for one thing only, which is to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything went as planned. It was my first time trying out the restaurant, and they fulfilled what I was for.
The Meat felt of very poor quality and the waitress found a dead fly on the raw meat that we ordered (Yes, A DEAD FLY!). Also the appetizers came WAAAAY too late after the grilled meats came. Appetizers should come before or at the same time of the main meal. Everything felt like it was done OUT OF ORDER. Also, the macaron ice cream sandwiches tasted really old and stale like they were there for 3 weeks.
Cooking the meat is part of the fun. They have everything here! Spicy tuna to nice steak and plenty of drinks. We got sake and I also had a strawberry milkshake and it was the perfect pair.
I’m a big fan of gyu kaku. It’s smart to make a res!
Good times good food good drink i would recommend this to a little party or 2 people want to have good times not to romantic but funny place
Fun place for families to cook and share a meal. Tables near the windows are the best.
Really fun place to have dinner with friends and cook your own meal! 😊. Meats were well marinaded and tasty. Best picks were sirloin, filet and the garlic chicken. Also liked the garlic noodles and signature rice. Service was friendly and timely. Place needs a little TLC and a deep clean. Tears in banquettes, light bulbs out or missing ect.
It’s a very small location only one grill at a table unacceptable if you’re going in a large party. Service was horrible they were very short staffed.
Really great food! Light, flavorful and abundant!
One of my favorite restaurants in LA - great bang for your buck!
Good neighborhood venue
Great food, good vibe! One of my favorite places in all of Los Angeles.
We love the food so much we could come here every week!
Wait staff was great....food delicious and mom didn’t cook!!! Great time had by all!!!
I have been to the chain many times but this particular location was a huge disappointment! The hostess was RUDE, the table she sat us at was disgusting and then the waiter brought out my friend’s water with something floating in it and when she asked for another he said its probably left over lemon... there was NO lemon in either of our waters! We left without eating. I would never advise anyone to go here, what a disappointment!!! I asked to speak to the manager he could care less about the events and stood there with a blank stare and asked if we would like him to reseat us. The insanity!
Overall it was good but did have a few issues with our 1st table grill not working and then they moved us and the grill still was having some issues but finally got it resolved
took awhile for orders to arrive, that was a Sunday, maybe they were under staffed that day
they were so busy that you could tell the waiters and hosts were stressed. The location is too small to even speak to someone at the desk.
Good food and good service as always!
The food was amazing but we had to wait 30 min to get our table
Made reservations at 10pm , waiter was nice enough to give us time to order due to their last call being around 10:00pm on a Sunday night. Overall everything was great!! However, I do really wish they can notate somewhere in their menu about their last call so I can plan future reservations accordingly.
great choice of food. a la carte was also offered at a great value
The food is always great. Service is usually fast and friendly. If they do make a mistake, they do what is needed to correct the issue. Rewards program is also a great deal for getting discounts on your bill.
Dinner with colleagues
Terrific food and a really fun experience. If you're in LA you have got to come here!
Food is DELICIOUS
Pork Belly is prob the best thing on the menu.
Server acted like we were inconveniencing him, food was not coursed out so my friends were done with their food before I even received my main dishes. On my reservation I noted it was a birthday, my birthday, still no acknowledgement on that, noise and atmosphere was terrible. I would describe it as the Disney land of restaurants. Never recommending, never going back.
enjoyed the post mother’s day celebration with hubby & kids @ Gyu-kaku BH
I love this place! Great customer service
,employees and food. I also love the area
Delicious food & great saki
Never a disappointment! Only negative is even when you have a reservation you still wait 30-45 min.
