Gyu-Kaku - Beverly Hills
Traditionally called Yakiniku, this Japanese barbecue spot is known for their delicious, fresh (never frozen), high-quality meats!
Enjoy an ice cold beer as you grill your own meat. Happy Hours offer the best deals on food and drinks, so be sure to wind down and get the night started right with us.
Items were missing from our order, probably because they rushed in bringing the food all at once and we only realized at the end that we were never served shrimp which was part of our order. Need better quality control.
I frequent the restaurant a lot. The food and the service are always very good!
Service all around was great ! Definitely will be back . Quality and price is amazing .
excellent always fun, happy hour pricing a must, always friendly
The food was fine. But the overall ambience is kinda poor. The seats and tables are worn .
Service not too good but still ok. Have to say that when no body ask or came to table for almost 20 mins.
The service was poor and there's a 90 minute limit at the table. They also got rid of my reservation when we only showed up 5 minutes late. Parking is hard to find in the area.
Very generous portions. Love to eat at Gyu-Kaku
Great food and service. Highly recommended. They will give you great suggestions.
I had the hot pot, but it wasn’t hot. We want the peach berry drink back.
One of the best places I’ve been to. I always go back and enjoy every single visit.
Made reservation for 8 pm but did not get seated closed to 9. The hostess said there’s 5 to 6 parties ahead of us. Reservation didn’t matter to them. It was first come first basis. Hostess was not helpful at all. Not to friendly. Would not recommend this place.
Great quality, each round of meat took much longer than we would've liked due to the 90 minute time limit that's given. Still worked out because they were also lenient on the time limit. Christina was pleasant but she may have been given too many tables to wait on causing the lag in service.
Overall I'd give the whole experience a 4.5 out of 5.
Gyu is always a good time!
Pretty good service, food was great, good experience !
Excellent lunch deal and happy hour
This is a fun place to dine. You order your food (meats) and it is brought
to the table raw and everyone gets to cook their own on the central fire pit
that is at each table.
The meats are tasty. There are several different kinds to chose from.
There are side vegetables and rice bowls which are delicious as well.
The service is good with servers checking back often.
Everyone here seems to be having a good time.
It is especially good for families as children seem to really enjoy.
The food was so good! Cool experience to be able cook your own meat.
I love Gyu Kaku. The best place for a dinner with a group of friends. Great deals and friendly stuff
The food was really good! I had forgotten how mush I enjoyed this place. The garlic noodles were really tasty and the beef bimibop was just the way it should be with the rice nicely caramelized. The piers belly was more meaty than fatty which I appreciate but others may prefer more fat for a moister meat. The Harami was good as well. One of my favorite things I are the s’mores! The perfect finish! Service was good. The right amount of attentiveness.
The environment could use a little freshening up. The paint is pretty tired and there are dings in the wall. The bathroom is also dated and could use to be brightened up.
Overall, enjoyed the food and the environment will not prevent me from returning. I brought my friend for the first time and she enjoyed cooking on the grill and the food.
I had a party of 7.
After two of my friends ordered the shrimp noodles and they arrived. Two more of my party wanted the same thing to which they were not able to order it as the waiter told them that the kitchen was all out! How?
Experience not fully fulfilled
The new tuna poke nachos are to die for! Will def be getting that again. Also tried the toro beef for the first time. It legit is beef bacon. Delicious! My other go tos are the spicy tuna volcano, harami miso skirt steak and the spicy pork. I’m drooling just writing this. Go, you’ll love it!
My husband and I had our first date here so it holds a lot of sentimental memories. We have been coming to this place for the past 6 years. We hadn’t been in a year because every time we went there was a very long wait. So this time I made reservations and we took our 2 year old daughter and was so looking forward to making more memories and enjoying yummy food. Boy were we disappointed. They were out of a lot of things, pushed an all you can eat when the choices available weren’t any to our liking. It took more than 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table and forever until our food came which we had to cook. The music was super loud and I realized this isn’t our place anymore. Great for younger crowd that want to drink and eat food with minimum expectations.
We made a reservation for 7 pm but were not seated until after 730 pm. We had plans afterward that had to be cut short. Reservations only work if they are adhered to by both patron and restaurant.
This place is so dirty!! How did they get an A?? The menus need to be sanitized! Everything was disgusting. Someone brought their big dog in and it wasn’t a service dog.
Second time here after my first time for DineLA cause it’s that good!
This was my first time back in a few years, and my experience was not pleasant unfortunately. Decent food but service was poor. Flames of the grill became insane to the point it burnt the meat as soon as I put it down and almost burnt my hand, but servers kept blaming the fat in the meat. It was only after multiple desperate complaints to the servers who rarely came by, one of them squeezed lemon into the flame and we were able to cook our last meat which was pork belly- the fattiest of meat- without any problem. I was really annoyed at that point knowing that we could’ve enjoyed our meal much more if the server had taken care of the issue sooner.
Loved the food, helpful waitress, and fun cooking experience.... BUT was really put off by the super loud clubbing-esque music??? My friend and I found it distracting, loud, and a generally strange choice.
Overall, I’ll be back. I had a lot of fun. I’ll just ask to be far away from the speakers.
The food is so good here! Healthy too. I would definitely come back again.
Table set up was less than ideal. Wall and bench were dirty and scuffed, and I had to get up so that the table next to us could leave. But the food is fun and the pricing is great.
On a visit to LA we found Gyu-Kaku through search and Yelp and liked the concept and price range. We ordered the "all-you-can-eat" which we were happy to find that they discount for seniors (60+). The food and sauces were all tasty and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the on-the-table BBQ including S'mores for dessert.
So good ughhhh
I took a friend here for her birthday. We had an amazing time! I have been here many times and I love it. My only disappointment is that you no longer have the sweet potatoes on your menu.
I love the food at Gyu-Kaku. But its always cold in there!
Beef is mad chewy
Christmas Eve dinner
Good and affordable!!! Every thing was great! Love this please!
