My favorite spot overall

The service was A1. First time going and the staff explained all details. We had an amazing time.

It’s was a bit pricey and the meats could have been of better quality. Looked as if they had served us thawed, refrozen and then thawed again meats. At 15$ per ounce of the so-called better cuts of meats, the quality could’ve and should’ve been much better.

I’ve visited Gyu Kaku 3 times over the last month and a have and it was a really good dining experience each time. The beef sukiyaki bibimbap is my favorite. The hostess takes your temp upon entry and everything is clean and socially distance.

The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. Absolutely incredible. My husband and I cannot wait to go back and try more! You HAVE to eat here.

for those who have never been, once you try it, you will start planning your next trip there. i take all my out of towner friends here and when they come back this is the place they crave.

The staff was very attentive and Took great care to ensure a sanitary environment for the diners. The food quality was excellent and the portions were generous.

Went here for the first time over the weekend. It was a fun dining experience with some really tasty food. We did one of the menu combinations (meat lovers) and added the cucumbers and the garlic mushrooms. Cucumber appetizer was great, mushrooms were ok - just not quite what we were thinking. The various meats were really good and the two of us weren't able to finish it all. We also added the sorbet (basically sorbet ice cubes) at the end and they were a great, refreshing end to the meal along with the s'mores that were included.

The restaurant experience was nice and they seemed to have great happy hour deals. We did wait around ten minutes before we were served water--after that, the service was really good. I would rate it higher but the value for the money just seems off. It was $4.50 for zucchini and it was probably less than 1/4 of a whole zucchini. With nearby Korean bbq giving much larger portions, it will be hard to go back. The food was really good though!

Food and service was great. The kids meal was perfect for our kids. Will definitely return and recommend for others.

Best jbbq place in the DMV, lots of variety and different sets. Service is always on top of it.

Delicious food and great service. With COVID still being an active issue, they spaced diners with empty tables in between and did temperature checks for people entering the restaurant. I felt they took reasonable precautions. I'd come again!

Discovered this restaurant in Seattle, didn’t know it was a chain! Had to take my family here ASAP when I knew there was one by me. Food was delicious as always, with the set combo you can’t switch out things you don’t like (which is frustrating).

Except for the price, i have nothing negative to say about Gyu-Kaku. We spent 60/person but wasn't full, which was not really a surprise as we know the good quality comes with high price.

Incredible foot but definitely not cheap. With 3 people our bill rapidly approached north of $200.

My boyfriend and I had an AMAZING time at Gyu-Kaku. We ordered a meat lovers combo and got a plate of beef tongue and Kobe Style Kalbi short rib added to our meal, all the meat was super tender especially the Kalbi and everything tasted amazing!! Our waiter Teguh was phenomenal and very attentive. He made sure that whenever our grill got too charred, he was there to replace it super fast! One of the highlights of the night were the s’mores that were included in the combo. We had such a fun experience making s’mores again, and it’s been a LONG time since we made s’mores, so it was a nice addition to an already outstanding dinner. The atmosphere was pretty quiet considering it was a Saturday night and pretty busy. We had such an awesome time and will definitely be back and hungrier to try new things!!

If you like sugar and some meat go here. All the marinates are too sweet. Food was disappointing. Service was good. Appetizers were reheated and not fresh. This is not authentic japanese.
