Birthday dinner. They accommodated all our needs
TAking our friend here for the first time and he loved it!
Unfortunately, while I have loved my experiences at Gyu-Kaku in the past, this one fell WAY short. Gyu-Kaku offers Japanese BBQ where you grill food yourself at the table. They have preset menu options that make the decision making process easier. Our meal had multiple courses (salad, miso soup, edamame, appetizer, rice, meat and dessert). I am completely baffled how THREE of those did not show up until after our main course and not until WE mentioned it was missing. Not only was this unacceptable, but there was a complete lack of ownership of the mistake. Our waiter did not take immediate action to remedy, just continued to take his time. We had to ask them to take it off our bill, they did not offer. This place specializes in its course-style eating, and the ball was completely dropped.
Unfortunately, despite how much I like the cuisine here, it might be awhile until I come back. This trip left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
We always enjoy lunch at Gyu Kaku. The only complaint is that hot tea is not always available due to an ongoing kitchen equipment problem. Come on G.K. You can do better!
First time here and it was great! We usually go to Korean bbq (like Gen) and now we have a new favorite! The meat was so much more flavorful and
Celebrated vday with our moms. They loved it! We loved it!
We had a great time. All of the staff was super helpful and friendly! Food was delicious.
Minus the long wait, despite having a reservation, we enjoyed our meal here! Service and food are always wonderful!
It was a wonderful night with delicious food and great service as we celebrated our anniversary!
Did not care much for what we had - noodles with chicken, as it had no chicken or it seemed ground chicken. However, we thought it was interesting to, next time, try the grill to cook ourselves. Portions are way too small!
One of my favorite place to eat !
Delicious food.... very fresh. Our waiter was very helpful for us first-timers. Other than being a little loud, this was great ... both delicious and entertaining!
Always come here for good food.
Not a very good experience by any means. Perhaps it was an off night.
It was a great time to sit talk and eat good food with your significant other
Food was great as usual, however this is actually the first time service was a little lacking. From the didn’t want to be here hostess to the waiter that was not thrilled to be here. I get that it’s a holiday but we have always had excellent service
The food, as always, was amazing. The service was sub par. Servers treated out table like a chore and would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. If the service here wasn’t consistently awful, I would dine here more often.
Great Service, food and atmosphere
It's an entertaining way of eating and not a bad value.
Great food and service
very good food
but about Horumon
it was too big so you need to cut more smaller
We have visited this restaurant several times and are never disappointed. This time, we had Japanese friends visiting from out of town. They truly enjoyed it. The quality and quantity of good is great. And, the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. We’ll be back.
Just as good for lunch as dinner! When I get the meat craving, this is the place I go..
Yea it was a cool environment, barely ever saw our waiter, food was pretty good. We wanted some type of sauce or salt, was never able to ask. Was just brought food and staff would scurry away
good selection of food and a nice experience from the the normal go out restaurant. great service too.
Love this place so much!!! Went here for a bday date and it was my boyfriend’s first time trying Japanese bbq and he is now a huge fan!
We had a really good time socializing and enjoying our meal.
Menu changed just today.
Still a great deal for weekday lunch.
The lunch meat set now has beef rib, which was good except for the grizzle.
The hot tea machine hasn't worked at the Addison location since the spring.
The management really needs to correct that.
Meat was ok but the rice is very bad. They was busy, so we have to waited for the for come out
The food here is always amazing.
One of my favorites places!!!! Sooooo good!! The food is always delicious.
Love their supreme all you can eat items! Everything you possibly want is on there! The service is not as good as we expected, slow to pickup dirty plates and table often run out of space, from time to time it was hard to find out server etc.
The restaurant has changed in the last 2 years. Service is no longer very good. The prices have gone up, and the happy hour is reduced.
The food was great as always. We have 4 in our group and the server was awesome. It did seem like they were slowing us down. The food was coming out fast in the beginning but when we started re ordering meat it slowed down substantially. The restaurant was not crowded st this time. All In all it was great. We always enjoy coming here.
I was so excited to find a yaniniku place! We don’t have one in the central Arkansas area, so this was a real treat for us! Our server, An, was wonderful and helped us pick out things. The rest of the staff would also check in if we looked confused. Next time we come to Dallas we’ll be visiting again!!
Favorite spot for me and my sisters. Always have great service and great food and many items on the menu aren't as expensive as you'd expect them to be with how good they are!!
Higher quality and more option than Gen Korean BBQ. We ordered the meat lovers fixed dinner. It was nice to NOT have to choose the meats.
Only one of the meats was substandard. I believe it was a skirt steak which if not cut properly can be very chewy. Several of the meats were crave-able.
I like that it wasn’t a giant restaurant. My server never got lost. Beer by the pitcher is a nice option. I really enjoyed the three sauces to dip my meat into; I am not sure which one was my favorite.
Great food and atmosphere!
Perfect, interactive date night with great service!
Eating at Gyu-Kaku was so much fun. We had a table of four which was perfect for all of us being able to reach the grill in the middle of the table. We shared the Samurai and it was PLENTY of food for all of us. We enjoyed trying all the different BBQ options that came with this meal since it was our first time at a Japanese BBQ restaurant. Our server was Michael and he was very attentive and helpful with teaching us how to grill our food. We will be back!
