Whether craving brunch, lunch, dinner or just dessert and drinks, Gypsy Blu in Ambler has just what guests want. The exterior of Gypsy Blu has the appearance of a castle, while the inside is contemporary and elegant. Still, guests can relax in casual comfort while sipping on wine, cocktails or beers.
Christian our waiter was great ! He was attentive and alert . He provided excellent service ! Great representation thank you
Everything was wonderful, except the noise level. Food and service were terrific. We arrived 10 minutes early and our table was already set to go. Too bad we weren’t told then that there were only 10 minutes left in the brunch happy hour! C’est la vie. The space is so cute and very comfortable, only there isn’t much to absorb sound. We were not expecting the live music, which was good but really made it impossible to hold a conversation. It was appropriate for a coffee house where everyone is sitting with a drink and a slice of pie just listening to the music. For brunch, maybe cut the mics at least? Conversation was carried on by yelling across the table, with a lot of “what?!?” in replies. Higher ceilings are probably not an option, so maybe more fabric to absorb sound? And come on, do you really need microphones in that space? So glad we were on the complete opposite side of the bar from the musicians.
The bloody mary was amazing!
Staff and food was great , had a great time
Good and interesting sandwiches, perfect for a pre-Ambler Theater dinner.
Valentines brunch date - amazing food and service
It was our First time there . The food was great and so was the service. Would have preferred a more intimate table for two instead of table for four maybe somewhere without so much traffic Near the entrance. But overall nice experience!
Food and service was great. We came in to celebrate my mom’s birthday and we were not disappointed. My favorite was the calamari!
Great service and beer selection. The mussels have a 3rd option with jalapeños...probably next time. The Cobb salad and Burger were perfect. Great early Sunday dinner spot.
Thus was my second time at gypsy blue. We love the wine. Great selection. Appetizer were amazing.
Over all great place.
I’m never disappointed when I go to Gypsy Blu.
Food is delicious and service is outstanding.
Food and drinks were well priced. Portions were perfect sized. The staff was friendly.
Great neighborhood gem!
This was such an enjoyable date night experience. Everything was perfect from the sweet service, delicious food, and lovely atmosphere! Will definitely be coming back again!
Food was excellent. There was a nice variety of choices and everything we ordered was delicious. The noise level was a little loud, but we were sitting in the bar area so that's expected.
Delicious food! It was quiet for a late lunch date, but I could see this a bit more noisy in the evening. They offer special meals along with dueling piano night. Service was pleasant. The building was gorgeous.
We very much enjoyed our dinner. The Penne and Lobster was amazing.
We had taken a break from GB after we had several bad meals and horrible service. We decided to give the kids Italian NYE a try and it was OK. OK until the bar tender spilled an entire tray of drink on my 4 year olds head and didn’t even stop to try and help him. It was incredibly unorganized, the space where they had the kids was so small and scary for the kids, the music was absolutely awful leading to the kids 6PM festivities and the wait staff was shockingly terrible. When we arrived back at our table where we left our meals that we had JUST got we found that most of our food and drinks were taken. My mother who was trying to take a picture of the kids turned around from her seat for a few moments just to return to the staff taking our food and drinks. Then we were charged $250 for the meal. To say I was stunned is being nice. I asked to talk to someone and no one came so we paid the bill and left after waiting for 20 minutes. GB is officially off our list of local spots to go. I would have thought the ladies corrected the issues but they have not.
Been here 2 or 3 times. Always disappointing. Won’t be a 4th time.
My friend and I enjoyed every aspect of Gypsy Blu for lunch. The service staff were attentive, while making us feel relaxed and comfortable. The menu provided us with many scrumptious choices. Finally, the atmosphere was perfect. The tables will beautifully set, the lighting was just right, and set up of the room afforded us a chance engage in conversation without hearing other patrons’ conversations. Looking forward to going back in the near future.
Terrible brunch. Server was cold. Breakfast was burnt, then under-cooked. General Manager was kind and tried very hard to please. Food was the issue.
For the past two years my fiancé and I have been to Gypsy Blu as our annual Christmas date. Both years I have been blown away by the food (the scallops are AMAZING and the ny strip that I had this time around was unbelievable) and the overall atmosphere. Live music was a wonderful surprise this year and we thoroughly enjoyed listening as we had our drinks. The decor around Christmas time is so festive and cozy. We love coming here!
Food is excellent. Lighting could be a bit dimmer at night.
So good! And the Wednesday pasta deal was awesome!
food always good; would still appreciate a better selection of dark beers. will be back; have been there at least a half dozen times already.
Amazing food and service! This place is so cute and we will definitely be back!
The food was great. Music was good, albeit louder than expected. Waitress was decent; however, she forgot a side that I ordered (decided not to remind her after our food came).
This Is one of the best run restaurants I have ever been in. The food was great and the service excellent ! The manager made sure our dining experience was outstanding and we will definitely be back !
Great spot for casual dinner.
Great food and atmosphere!
Awesome! 2 person band they had was fabulous.
Had two excellent dinner salads with salmon and chicken. Great value and nice wait staff.
Dillon was a great server. The food was tasty. The decor was good for Halloween. We will go back.
Amazing food and so many appetizers to choose from! I will definitely be returning again!
First time at Gypsy Blu. Wanted to treat a friend for her birthday. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good, but I think the service could have been better. We both ordered salads. We ask if we could have bread and we were told that the restaurant only serves bread at dinner!!! Okay, not a big deal. When my friend noticed that some of the other diners were eating toast (it was brunch time) she asked the server if we could have toast and he said he had to ask someone in the kitchen if that was okay since the toast was only served with the egg dishes. Really... I spent $67 plus tip for lunch for two and I am being hassled over two pieces of bread. That is exactly what was served to us. Not two slices apiece, but one slice a piece for a total of two.
That being said, our salad were really delicious and the restaurant was very convenient to the Ambler Theater. Maybe the sever was new, but in all my eating out at many restaurants local and otherwise, I was never told that I could not have bread because it was not dinner time or I did not order eggs!!
Very nice restaurant. Good food. Décor very nice.
We had a pleasant Sunday afternoon in Ambler thanks to the caring and friendly service of our waiter, Pierce. We arrived at 2:00pm and spent about 1.5 hours just lingering over our wine and appetizers. We were on our way to movie at the Ambler theater. We felt comfortable and welcomed and never felt rushed. Both of our appetizers were well prepaired and nicely portioned. Our burger was cooked just as we liked it. We will return.
Always a great place for brunch! Fabulous and friendly service.
We were greeted immediately and service was attentive. Music was a bit loud. The Gypsy burger was outstanding!
It’s nice to eat at a resturant that is run so smoothly !!! Excellent !!
