About
Chili cheese fries were great. Quick before show dinner.
I was not taken to Flavortown. The food was nothing special and kind of bland. The decor is no better than a Chili’s or Applebee’s.
I liked the spacious, industrial atmosphere. It was a good spot for pre-theatre lunch with kids but overall the food was surprisingly unremarkable.
I am big fan of Guy's Triple D show and was really looking forwards to travelling to New York City to dine at one of his restaurants. Reservations were important, as the wait line was backed out to the street. There was a good atmosphere, with a decor suited for the type of restaurant. The food was fair. I had the volcano chicken, which was good. It wasn't very spicy, yet tastey and presented very well. My wife had the ribs, which was where we were disappointed. They were dry/ overcooked/ old, but where there was the real shock, was that the sauce was lack luster or didn't have much flavour. Surely, with all of Guy's knowledge of BBQ, it would have translated to a killer rib sauce; this was not the case. Lastly, the washrooms were in a complete state of disarray and extremely dirty. They truely look abused. Granted there were three floors packed with people, yet when we informed staff (most particularly taking notice the 4 staff members loitering at the nearest till) not one of them when to address them during our entire dining (~2 hrs). I'm still happy that I can say I went to one his restaurants, but I'll stick to the restaurants he promo's on Triple D.
Great food !
Wish they had more burger options .. everyone was expecting a more extensive crafty burger menu. Overall food was amazing... drinks were perfect and desserts were amazing !
Yes try the CARROT CAKE!
Food was lukewarm, both times i ate there. Good flavor but bad temp.
I had the chicken tender appetizers. They were not spicy and I have had better at fast food restaurants. My husbands meal was great.
My Dipper sandwich was great, however the kid’s quesadilla was dry and bland. The Rib platter was uneventful. I expected more from Guy’s.
Had a gift card, otherwise not sure if I would have gone. After hearing about his political views I would pass next time.
The food was wonderful and exactly what we wanted. The service was decent, but it was a bit noisy and crowded as we expected.
Despite being seated immediately, this meal was disappointing. The first shocker was no refills on soft drinks, and water and soda refills were slow. Our disappointment increased when our appetizers arrived. The fried calamari should have been called fried anything else because the least food item in this appetizer was calamari. We ordered the nachos with no basil. A small plate of nachos arrived covered with basil and burnt cheese that made the nachos hard to eat. More than a half hour transpired between the appetizer plates being cleared and the entrees beginning to arrive. Four of our five entrees were delivered and we were assured that the fifth would be delivered promptly. Fifteen minutes after being reassured that it was on the way, it was delivered without an apology. Despite being called The Big Dipper and being delivered after the other entrees, the plate the dipping sauce for which we needed to wait five more minutes. It was such a surreal dining experience we thought we were being pranked. We had many options for dinner when visiting New York City. We chose to return to Guy's. Instead we spent the night talking about where else we could have eaten.
Showed up 20 minutes late for our reservation and we were already wiped out of the system. Told we had to wait in line with the walk-ins. New York during the holidays and this restaurant gives you no extra time.. no good
Very nice dinner. Good place for teens. Staff was very attentive. Food a little spicy for my taste. But overall a very positive experience.
Definitely recommend this restaurant for families... Was very inviting and definitely worth the value.
Very disappointing. Steak was overcooked and dry, potatoes were rubbery, onions rings were burned.
Even after a confirmed booking when we arrived we were rejected by the host until we showed the email confirmation, which did not indicate a warm hospitality which was our impression of Guy and his expectations of others.
The food, bit pricy was great though along with the ambiance.
We visited New York for the Christmas holiday and this restaurant was the perfect place to stop! The ambiance was warm & inviting, and the food was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
This was our first time at Guys. We decided to go out for Christmas after the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and this restaurant did not disappoint. It's a quick walk from Radio City, the food was delicious and the service was great. Very friendly and attentive server. Reasonably priced for NYC. We had a 6:30 reservation for 5, arrived at 6:15 and was seated at 6:28. Would definitely recommend this place and will return in the future.
A bit overpriced for the quality of food. very limited menu.
Awesome place for Christmas dinner with the family.
Spending Christmas in NYC from Texas with my family.
Great food, massive portions and the service is amazing! We’ve been seeved quickly, waiter was very friendly.
We had lunch at Guy's All American Café on Christmas Day, the Cobb salad I had with rotisserie chicken was excellent! We also had the taco appetizers, there were only three small tacos but they were great! I had no idea that Guy Fieri brews his own beers, they were great and I really enjoyed my Pumpkin Spice Latte martini! I'm hooked! The prices were good for Times Square NYC too!
We wanted to try this but we were very disappointed in the food. The tuna tacos had a few cubes of tuna and that was the best thing we ate. The nachos were disgusting and the kids thought the chicken tenders were dry. The busboy walked into the room were were eating in, blew his nose and touched every chair as he passed with the tissue. We left after that and did not order more food.
Great meal on Christmas Day, lots of choices but took the waitresses recommendation which was great ! Large meals and value for money. Cocktails were yummy !
Went here on Christmas Eve. Place was not busy at all. Waitress was very ho-hum, not thrilled to be working on Christmas Eve apparently! Food was ok - nothing spectacular. Wouldn't likely go there again when I'm in town.
Love this place, it was my 4th time there but unfortunately this last time the waitress was very bad, not friendly and not familiar with the menu, walked away 2 times with the bad face. This has nothing to do with the place and I am definitely going back in the future.
It was good. Unfortunate that the waitress made a mistake on Charging our cards correctly but food was fantastic
Family Christmas
Fun experience. Food was good but definitely pricey for the offer
We went to Guy's American Kitchen and Bar because our oldest daughter is a huge Guy Fieri fan. We walked out questioning how much of a fan she is, now.
Guy is known for loving big, bold flavors on his TV shows. We were hoping that would translate into the food at this restaurant. Unfortunately, these flavors were not to be found, anywhere.
We started with the Dragon's Breath Chili and the nachos. I was hoping for the chili to kick me sideways. No. Not even close. Our daughter, who can't handle spicy food at all, was not bothered by the chili. That's a bad sign. I felt the quality was similar to that of BW3's nachos. Good, but nothing to really wow me.
The entrees were next. We got the salmon, rosemary chicken, and the smoked ribs. Again, everything was good, but nothing was really outstanding. I didn't see the pink ring on the ribs which makes me wonder is they were really smoked. They weren't the tenderest ribs I've eaten, either. The chicken was chicken. It was cooked properly, I tasted the rosemary, but again, nothing popped. Not a winner winner, chicken dinner. I don't eat salmon, so I'll leave that to other people.
Dessert was apple pie a la mode, and carrot cake. Is it sad to say that the carrot cake was the best dish of the meal? The cake was moist and sweetened just right. The frosting was just sweet enough. The apple pie wasn't warmed enough for my liking, and, honestly, wasn't juicy. There's so much a place like this could do to make an apple pie pop, and they didn't.
Overall, there wasn't anything bad, but with Guy's name on the restaurant, I expected everything to be out of bounds, and it wasn't. We were promised a trip to flavortown, but the Cadillac broke down a couple miles into the trip.
We visited NYC for the day with family including children. The hubby is a huge fan of Guy so it made sense to dine at Guys American Kitchen. It was a rainy day in the city so not as loud as we expected. Food and drinks were good. The nachos and pretzel chicken tenders were very good. The bacon mac and cheeseburger was amazing! The pulled pork slyders were disappointing mostly because we were expecting them to be served on Hawaiian sweet rolls not potato rolls. Our server Rocky was amazing and attentive! Thank you for a good dining experience in the big Apple!
I can’t believe there were no soft drink refills considering the money I paid. I will make certain to tell my friends visiting New York to pass this place up and go to McDonald’s instead. U get more bang for your buck there. What a joke!
Service was very good. Food good but probably would not go back...too many places too choose from in NYC.
Guy's is so close to the theater and one can make reservations! Not crowded for the before curtain showtime and the attentive staff is able to get you to the show on time. The food was good and the choices were very kid friendly. They knew it was a birthday from the open table reservation and brought a celebratory dessert.
We arrived about 10 minutes early for our reservation we were seated right away, food coming out of the kitchen was a little on the slow side but it is a busy holiday season so it's understandable
Was here a few years ago and food and service was amazing this time around poor service, waters not refilled and food was not good.
Excelente comida. Cortes de carne suaves y deliciosos. Recomiendo hagan reservaciones para el momento que esperan ir.
We had salads. I had mine with chicken and the chicken was on the dry side. This was disappointing since they talk how good their chicken is on the menu. The salad otherwise was really good.
The waiter was a bit annoying. Should have clearly seen it was a business lunch, but came around way too many times to check if we were doing OK. Kind of felt like he was rushing us although they were not over crowded.
I went with friends to celebrate my birthday and we were very excited because we were enjoying a great meal. The food was delicious. However, my friend quietly told the waiter it was my birthday, so after the meal he ended up bringing a piece of cheesecake with a candle. I really appreciated the gesture, however I do not like cheesecake so I let my friends take a few bites. When we went to pay the bill, we realized it wasn't adding up to which we discovered we were being charged for a $12 piece of cheesecake. I would like to point out that no one had actually ordered the cheesecake and if I had known we were being charged for a special birthday treat, we would've ordered something the birthday girl actially likes. The waiter never even asked if we wanted to order dessert. He simply just brought an unwanted piece of cheesecake and then charged us for it. So thank you Carlos R for the birthday treat that I didn't even want.
