First time dining at Gusto North. Very impressed with the employees, so friendly and understanding in making our dining experience exactly as we like. Simple menu, we started with the calamari which was tasty, nice presentation. The Margherita and 887 pizzas were delicious. Love the pizza crust! Drinks were good too. Food arrives very quickly. It’s a very stylish decor, nice vibe.
Two things that I didn’t like - tables are very close together and with COVID, we are accustomed to more distance in restaurants; also, we didn’t like that the water glasses were filled and sitting prior to our arrival. I understand being efficient, however I don’t like any drinks which are unattended. Our server was completely understanding when I pointed this out and fresh glasses and water arrived immediately.
Overall, a very nice evening out with my wife.
I took an out of town co-worker 11/24 and we really enjoyed it! The food was great, and the service staff was excellent (attentive, but did not break up our conversation). The place was packed and I was glad to have made a reservation in advance. Forming more and more good memories at this place, will definitely be going back for my future personal / business meetings.
We had a number of dishes. Love them all except for one of the salads that we thought was OK
The pizza’s and service are always consistent and awesome! The only negative is it is hard for 80 year olds to see the food and menu with your evening lighting. That being said, I enjoy the candles and ambiance.
Gusto North is my fave restaurant in Winnipeg. The employees are all amazing and so friendly. The food is delicious, and the vibe is amazing. Perfect for date night, ladies nights or before a jets game.
Sadly, was not what I was looing for the pizza was burn and the pieces of cheese on the top, was no melt, was COLD
Related with the food was noot a good experience, was not what we expected, we went there as a recomendation of a friend , but I think we are not going back...
Awesome food, energetic atmosphere before the game!
we had the cavolo salad to start, followed by the Ragu pasta. Both were outstanding!
Our server was attentive and helped guide us to the right wine based on both our preferences.
Fabulous food, great attentive service. But a bit too loud. Difficult to have a conversation. Might not be great for a first date.
The food and service, as always, was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the comfortable outdoor patio seating with the heaters. I would only suggest that the table be checked for wobbliness. Otherwise, a perfect experience!
Great service great atmosphere and really great food
Outdoor patio is great with the heaters in the fall weather
Waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable
Understand pre-game is going to be busy but the outright sour, condescending look my wife received from the waitress when we asked (after waiting some time) to have our empty glasses filled was another level. I want this place to succeed. Our downtown needs it. So sharing for the purpose of seeing improvement.
Great ambiance. Fun location. Outstanding service and food.
We had a party of 6 and all commented at the time and again this morning the top notch meal we had (various entrees). The wine selection was excellent and we managed to find a selection that was enjoyed by those partaking. Our server (Kaelee - sp?) recalled a former favourite pizza of mine no longer on the menu and asked the kitchen to prepare it - this is the type of care and attention that is always appreciated and rare to find. The restaurant was full and the energy was boisterous - the acoustics can be a challenge when trying to communicate with background noise - but an overall very enjoyable experience. We will be back!
We often go to pizzeria gusto and we’re quite surprised as to how different the pizza was. It wasn’t as crisp a dough, more soggy in middle. Short rib pasta was very under seasoned.
Very loud in restaurant as well.
Service was not great. Took a long time to get our drinks, they couldn’t figure out the bill for quite long considering it was only four of us. Food was good
Great service and food but very noisy.
We enjoyed exceptional food and service for our party of 6! The Ragu and pizzas were awesome! Our server Sydney was friendly and attentive. The restaurant has modern decor and great ambience. The kitchen staff work deligently to prepare delicious and high quality meals from scratch. I highly recommend Gusto North!
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere
Food was of good quality, just not for me. The charcuterie board (well, what essentially was a charcuterie board) was not very good, the pasta was of high quality, but like I said, just not for me. The pizza was good, but so is domino's.
Had a great dinner. The noise level in the restaurant was too loud. You could talk to the people across the tsble
Food and service were excellent, at no fault of the restaurant unfortunately there was really loud not great for dining listing in the market which really took away for the experience and ambiance of the restaurant.
Our group collectively said we would Visit pizzeria Gusto versus gusto North as the ambiance can be controlled being a standalone restaurant.
For what you pay for fine Italian food, the portion size is way too small
My son and I were not impressed.
Awesome food and great service!!!
Everything was great!
Food and service were both fantastic.
Food and ambience was great but overall the restaurant is too noisy to enjoy each other’s company - not energetic (as the option offered on your survey) but annoying. Could not hear people talking at our table. Will not be back with more than 2-3 people.
Fantastic menu and great service. Try the small plates for sharing in addition to the pizza.
Great patio and the pizza's are amazing! Nice refuge in downtown Winnipeg.
The food was delicious but it took longer than we would have liked
Delicious food, gorgeous patio and great service! I’ll definitely be back.
Beautiful room, definitely loud. Had the lobster vermicelli it was excellent
Love the location . Portions of appies are smaller however . Was a but disappointed as for 3 people only the chicken wings were enough. Only 3 scallops and the salad was tiny . The pizza always a hit!!
The mains were great .
Would go back . However covid has affected portions .
The 1 star is the combination for the server and the food. We went for our anniversary and our server wasn’t pleasant nor friendly. Customer service was zero, she simply just wanted to take our order and nothing more. Drinks was great. Our pizzas was dry and the pastas was very bland. We should’ve just went to pizzeria gusto, a better atmosphere and service to celebrate our special occasion as we were left with a very bad taste of Gusto North.
Food and service was great. The server was very knowledgeable. When first arrived it was fairly quiet but became quite noisy as it filled up.
I've had great experiences at the restaurant on Academy however this location did not meet up to my expectation.
First, the restaurant is extremely noisy - the sounds from the kitchen and neighbouring tables made it difficult to have a conversation at our table. We ordered a few appetizers which were good, as well as the burger (for Burger Week). The burger was OK but no more, and the presentation was definitely missing - just a plain burger bun plopped on a large plate without any attempt to dress it up. Given the price, a little more effort would have been reasonable.
The service was excellent and we did not have to wait long for our orders.
Great atmosphere great staff awesome food
Very good arancini balls, and their pizza was very flavourful. The caprese salad was also good, but very small.
28$ for a green salad with chicken?
It’s not the keg. Come on.
A bag of spring mix is 4$.
Nice location, atmosphere and great place to blow money
