We offer a full bar and craft cocktail menu that celebrates Italian classics. Similarly, our wine list offers a wide selection from across Italy that pair well with our food. Presided over by Chef’s wife & General Manager, Jessa Casanova, the wine program demonstrates our love & commitment to all things Italian. We live by the Italian saying, ‘In buona salute,’ meaning, in good health and, ‘A tavola non is invecchia,’ or, at the table with good friends and family you do not become ol

The restaurant was closed when we arrived for our reservation. Disappointed that opentable was not aware. We walked to a different restaurant down the street.
In spite of making reservations on Open Table for Tuesday, May 7,2019, confirming those reservations through Open Table and the restaurant website and calling the restaurant on the day of the reservation, we and our guests arrived to a restaurant that was closed and dark. We were told by the parking attendant for the adjacent restaurant that Gusto was now closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Their website still does not reflect that. Pretty shoddy treatment and quite embarrassing. We have crossed Gusto off our list as we can’t trust them ever again.
I felt it was overpriced and not elegant
This was my s cond time, having liked it a lot before. This time I had the short ribs which was so fatty it was inedible. I told the waiter who was sympathetic, but did not offer something else and did not take it off the bill.
Love the service, the flowers, the menu, the staff —— all good at GUSTO
Kyle the bartender was so friendly, perfect service, food is just downright amazing. BEST PASTA IN THE WHOLE CITY BY FAR.
I made reservations on OpenTable for Gusto at 10:00PM on a Friday. Upon arrival, the host actually laughed at us. We were told that the restaurant would not honor the reservations, and that they were in fact closed for the night. There was no apology, and I was told the manager would contact me to discuss the matter. I have not received a phone call. It may be a glitch in the system, but the way the restaurant handled the situation was extremely rude, unprofessional, and inexcusable. We were looking forward to eating here, and hoping to find a authentic Neapolitan Italian restaurant to frequent, as my partner is from Italy. We were hoping to add Chef Casanova and Gusto to our frequented places, as the pasta looked promising online. What a disappointment.
The staff and service was wonderful !
I'm going to plan my next party there
Our experience was all about the service...unfocused, disorganized and slow. The food was decent. Meatballs with sughetto and cod croquettes were both very tasty. The shaved kale salad could’ve been terrific if not for the glops of blue cheese plopped on top of it. The orecchiette pasta was also quite good.
Our server was distracted. Initial drink order took 15 minutes. The house was only 50% full... it was frustrating to see a group of servers all standing by the bar while diners didn’t have drinks, bread, attention. One sliver of focaccia was carefully doled out to each of us. We ordered 5 dishes, all to share. ALL 5 five arrived at the table at the same time!
We finished around 9:00 pm. While I was waiting for our ride, near the hostess desk, several servers came up to ask her how many more reservations they had for the rest of the evening...she said zero...they were surprised...I wasn’t.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is next level (the meatballs are legendary) and it's our go-to place for both random date nights and special occasions. With attentive, personal service and outstanding food, we are always thrilled by our meals there and spend the next few days afterward reminiscing over the details. There will always be a place in our hearts for Gusto.
Amazing pasta! Great service! A perfect date spot.
Warm, inviting, felt very East Coast as in back home. Food and service matched the feel.
Gusto is a great quality restaurant- excellent food and very versatile and fun vibe. Good for groups. Good for a romantic spot. Good for just a drink and appetizer.
I love Gusto. The food is consistently good, and the prices are very reasonable. Friendly wait staff. And, very important, the pasta is always slightly el dente. Always.
We are grateful to be able to walk from our home to Gusto on 3rd! Always delicious, great service, and a fun place to take out-of-town guests.
Some of the best Italian I have had in LA in a very long time. Great service!
Everything is good but it’s nothing to write home about. The employees are lovely though
Honestly the hosts at the front were not very friendly and kind of ruined the experience for us. We got there abit early and asked if there was a table open and they said no, then later when seating us upstairs completely alone and so many tables empty around. We felt like it was not part of the experience of the restaurant on the first floor.
We had an amazing time and our servers and host were accomadating and attentive. We will be back for sure
The bread was everything
Could be the best Italian food in LA!
Outstanding pizza, pasta and a delicious
Chicken dish with mushrooms and mounds
Of mashed potatoes .. can’t wait to return
First time at the new location and happy to find the food to be just as good or better. The new burrata plate was delicious. Pastas were great as always. Coconut pie is still the best. Wonderful wine list was a bonus.
We had a very nice dinner and our server (Susie I think) was great.
We had the best seat in the house. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious
I would recommend the food, but service needs to step up - understaffed and we had to ask for everything (more water, clear empty plates, etc).
You would expect a 5:30 reservation to get decent prompt service. We were sat in Siberia in an upstairs patio before they fixed the lights, turned on the heat or music. Then wasted our time fixing those issue before thinking we would like more than water to drink. It took 15 minutes for a server to appear.
We got our drinks after the appetizers, 30 minutes after we sat down. Obviously, we were the guinea pigs to prevent the tables downstairs from getting over booked. Poor planning from the management. Second rate service, and no good bye once they took our money. Does the manager know that this is the hospitality business?
The food is amazing! Loved the relaxed environment with upscale food mix. Felt really comfortable and enjoyed every second! Service was outstanding! Definitely will go here again!
Chef Vic Casanova continues to deliver exquisite cuisine. The best pasta in Los Angeles- period. Try the Bucatini Carbonara it will change your life. Chef Vic is a true master of his craft.
The service was poor. The food was average, except the young people liked dessert. Noisy. Seats not comfortable.
I took my parents here when they were visiting from out of town. We sat on the upstairs patio, shared a bottle of wine and a salad and each ordered a plate of pasta, then shared a dessert with some espressos. We were very comfortable and our server was very lovely and helpful and the food was so fantastic.
Gusto was incredible! The bone marrow appetizer was so delicious. The braised rib entree was to die for - I will eat here again!
Magnificent food - highly recommended. We had a great birthday dinner.
Waitress was outstanding. Food done to perfection
Amazing food and service as always! Always happy and excited to dine there with friends and family.
I got the carbanaro and it was great. However my waiter (Tony) had an attitude for some reason and my dates dish was awful.
Xmas tradition dinner.
The pizza was excellent and the pasta was spectacular! I give it the highest marks for the food and ambiance. The only negative part of our experience was a lifeless waiter with a bit of an attitude. But I won't let that deter me from going back. The food is that good!
I've been enjoying Gusto for years but this was an extremely disappointing experience. The fault was primarily with our waitress, a surly, uncommunicative young woman who clearly wished to be somewhere else. We were seated 20 minutes before she asked if we wanted drinks. She never checked in during the meal to see if things were to our liking (which they weren't). Avoid the Squid Ink Lumache which was as tasteless as it was soggy and sad.
A bit too salty for my taste but overall a good place for large groups.
