It wasn’t very crowded so the wait staff and management staff stood along a wall watching the patrons which was a bit uncomfortable
Very unprofessional and unexperienced staff. They pulled a member of our party aside to tell us we were not allowed to take drinks from the bar to the seating area...even after we explicitly asked if that was ok before hand. They handled the situation terribly and we were decided to leave instead of giving them any additional business.
We invited Father Ron Gonzales, S.J. and it was a truly positive experience. So much so that Father Ron is returning next Tuesday again. I liked that the managers also continually oversaw the experience.
just happened across the restaurant by a Yelp listing. Pleasantly surprised. Salmon was great!
The Caesar Salad was terrible. The burnt lettuce was not edible
Bar was very noisy. On a friday night so to some degree expected.
Food and service were excellent. Chef Alex came out and visited with us. He gave us a sample of something he was trying. Very passionate about what he does.
Fantastic dinner. Sea bass and salmon were best I have had in years, especially the former. We just returned from a trip in Hawaii and it bestes anything we had on the island.
Ribeye was best in town since Stonewood closed (RIP). We highly recommend the Mexican style. Yummm
As far as apps- the arepas and tuna tartare were superb!

Since this is a small new place vying for making a major hit in a town with fairly good restaurants, there should have been more awareness of who they are competing with. The bar should know how to do classic and artisanal cocktails with proper garnish. They should not have Gulf of Mexico oysters when it's too hot, hence the eating of oysters only on months with an "R". There should be an awareness of when to take plates off the table or to put salads on before the entree.
There is otherwise a nice ambiance to the place, the steaks were good, I had a nice chunk of sea bass (even though I was looking forward to the halibut on the computer menu from this website), and after the first try on their cabernet we liked the second one.
2nd visit. Great food, service and atmosphere. Terrific happy hour specials too.

I've always loved coming here, so when visiting friends I always make sure to come here. This time, however, there were only 10 of us and it took FOREVER for anything. The restaurant was about half full and we had two waiters assisting us - that said, my friend asked for the same drink four times, half of the table never received menus, my husband's appetizer plate and silverware were removed right out from under him twice, and one of the appetizers ordered came out AFTER entree's. I understand that splitting checks at the end of the meal takes time, however, between the two waiters we waited an extra 30 minutes. It got to the point where anyone in the party ordering drinks just went directly to the bar. The last time my husband and I went was for New Years and we had a blast - this was a completely different experience. For 10 people we were there 3.5 hours - and it was mediocre at best. We never saw any sign of management, so maybe that was the issue. Definitely not as excited to go back when we visit town, so, unfortunately, I'm not sure we will.
Atmosphere was good, but sit far away from the noisy bar area if you like quiet. We unfortunately sat near a rather loud gentleman who monopolized the conversation at his table of four, but can’t blame Gusto for people that don’t know what a “restaurant voice” is. Food was great, ribeye, asparagus and yucca fries. Miguel was awesome, showing up just when we needed him. Steak is far from Ruths quality but good.
Food was excellent. Nice menu. Great happy hour. Half price wine bottles until 7pm.
Went on Friday evening and the first thing we encountered was the noise. A group of 2 was playing but, I couldn’t hear anything my date was saying. Annoying to say the least.
The manager greeted us kindly. We ordered pasta, duck & a bottle of wine. Pasta was undercooked, duck was fine.
Service was ok, our overall experience is ok. Don’t think we’re going back
Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Had a nice time. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Will go back again.
My colleagues and I tried this restaurant the other night. While the food was good, we waited for over two and a half hours for a appetizer. We each ordered one cocktail, and our server never refilled our drinks or water. The service was very poor. The manager and servers, tended to the patrons that appeared to be "big spenders", and paid very little attention to our table. We spent a total of 3 hours there. I would have ordered dessert, however, it just took too long! I would not recommend this restaurant unless you eat before you come, and have several hours to spend.
Comfortable, slightly upscale, yet not stiff, atmosphere. Friendly staff. Loved the asparagus appetizer. Asparagus was cooked perfectly. My husband had a lobster entree, rather small portions but very good. I had a special, linguini de mar, very generous portions. All seafood was fresh tasting and well prepared. And I am very particular about seafood. We shared a creme brulee for dessert. While we ate every bite and enjoyed it, the consistency was a bit disappointing. The menu options were sufficient but if we were to make this one of our regular go to places I would hope the menu would change from time to time. Overall, a very positive experience. We will return.
Excellent service and the food was beyond excellent. Kudos to the Chef and the Management; JC was an excellent server and Juan Delgado was attentive to every detail. The appetizers and cocktails are priced very reasonably and are unique and delicious. The Seafood Pasta dish was excellent as was the Lobster dish and the Salmon Linguini. Please try this new Gem in El Paso. The Chef has world experience and it shows.
Management and staff were attentive and extremely accomodating. Our dining experience was first class and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you, Gusto, for your excellent service!!

Exceptional service and food. We wanted a slow paced dinner to talk and enjoy the drinks and food. The staff was very knowledgable about each dish and recommended an great wine to compliment both our meals. The cocktails from the bar were awesome; best sidecar I have had in a very long time. The filet and the veal tomahawk were tender, juicy, and flavor. The atmosphere was swanky and great for an evening out.
I had the duck thought it was good. The guests I attended with absolutely loved their meals veal, lobster, filet. They had a musician start at about 10pm who really set the mood. The service was good and the chef even made his rounds to ensure everyone enjoyed their meal. Will be returning again and maybe try something the guests I attended with had. I also highly recommend the beef carpaccio. The server we had was a little timid and most of our selections were based on what we heard from another table. Not a bad experience at all but trying to explain my rating of very good versus excellent.
Over all it was a nice experience, however I think your menu it's limited but what you offer its good. I heard there is live music, what is the schedule for this? And what kind of music it's play? I do recommend this place. Looking forward to hear from you GUSTO.
Great place for a night out!
Lovely new spot on the West side! Spent some time chatting with Juan and he recommended we start with the arepas and the cachapa with grayanes cheese, both of which are Venezualan influenced dishes. The arepas are like little tacos with a delicious spicy meat filling and the cachapas were like hoe cakes (corn cakes) with a salty cheese melted on top. Both were delicious! I had the halibut and my boyfriend had the filet bordelaise cooked medium rare. The halibut was a generous portion and came with quinoa and capers, best enjoyed with a glass of sauvignon blanc. The filet was beautifully cooked and we also enjoyed a side of the spinach and mushroom cream, which was served in a mini skillet and absolutely delicious. Service was attentive, but not intrusive, we had a nice conversation about the chef's background and then got to meet him. They are running a Valentine's Day special with a fantastic looking menu, so we signed up on the spot. Highly recommend trying this new gem!
Great atmosphere. Drinks were awesome. Chairs are super comfortable. Food presentation left something to be desired. Ordered a filet and it's was just the filet on the plate. The server did really work hard, but some items weren't delivered that were ordered. A drink and a side. Food took a little while.
Overall, pleased and will be back.

My friends and I came here on a weekday night. The ambiance was great, the menu-- to include drink, entree, and dessert-- were all unique and had a fair amount of options. The servers and managers were very attentive. The chairs and set-up were very comfortable, and we enjoyed the decor. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will be returning in the future!
Always a wonderful experience - the food is absolutely delicious and the service can't be beat! I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
We had a fabulous meal at Gusto. I really enjoyed their food and ambiance. It was the perfect spot for a quick family get together.

The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the owners came out to greet us at the table to make sure that I experienced was the most.
The menu is sparse. The steak? Seems like they don't really want to bother. Ribeye, minimum size is 20 oz. The deserts and drinks are try hard Nuevo in effort, but did they taste them? Nothing special here.
Overall good experience. Service was great, food was good but for the price we expected more. Grilled Caesar salad was great. Butternut squash soup was good, my mom thought it needed salt but i thought it was fine. We had Halibut, Duck and Mussels. Halibut- good flavor but dry and overcooked. Duck- Good flavor and temperature but skin was not crispy. Mussels where good, fries where excellent and tomato sauce was very tasty. I will go back to the bar and to try the appetizers but either they lower their prices or their food has to be exceptional. I still recommend it. El Paso needs more innovative and local places like Gusto
The food was excellent, though the menu is sparse. They have rib eye on the menu though the minimum size they will serve is 28 oz. At $2.50 an ounce. Hope they improve the menu. I'd like to see them stick around.

Chris our waiter was very knowledgeable and pleasant.
There was an obnoxious man at the bar and his exit was managed quite well. What I liked even more, was that two people, one of which I believe was a manager, came to my table to apologize for what transpired.
Definitely became one of my favorite restaurants.
