Gusto Divino Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
We visited Gusto Divino recently on a Saturday night. We were very pleased with our experience. Dining room was comfortable and noise level was only moderate despite a nearly full room. Waiter (Michael) was exceptional -very pleasant, professional and attentive. We both had pasta dishes, which were delicious, as was dessert. The owner came by and treated us to after dinner drinks. We found the prices to be quite fair. We will be back.
Highly recommended. We’ve been here about a half dozen times with different sized groups. The food has consistently been excellent, and we try something new every time. There’s a good selection, with a variety of specials every visit. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating, as is the owner, who always comes to inquire about our meal. When you know what a high quality Italian meal should taste like, you become choosy, and Gusto Divino does not disappoint.
Please keep in mind that we were there for New Year's Eve, but had 7:15pm reservations we were far from the ball dropping. The place was packed, loud, and hot. A singer (really more of a shouter) started at 8pm and made people uncomfortable walking around, looming over tables as he yelled off key oldies lyrics into a microphone that were then piped through an old speaker along with some canned back up instruments. There was a price fixed menu that was very limited, but they allowed us to order off the normal menu.
All of the breaded and fried food was soggy, the gravy was acidic, and they only included a few shrimp with their pasta dish.
A nice place, and probably worlds better when not packed on a holiday, but I probably won't be back. There is no shortage of Italian restaurants in this area, and there is no reason to visit one twice unless you love it.
My husband and I have come a number of times and I can’t remember ever having a bad meal. However the last 2 times we dined here our waiter was Ruben. He is amazing. He is exactly what you expect a waiter to be in a high end fine dining place without the high prices. My husband had the veal chop special which was stuffed with prosciutto and cheese smothered with a mushroom sauce ...delicious. I had the Pasta with mozzarella and spinach. Excellent. Dessert was cappuccino creme brûlée. Amazing. Always a reliable place for delicious food and friendly service.
Wonderful meal at a wonderful restaurant - the food was delicious and the service amazing. I had the pasta with Portobello. So tasty. My husband had the skirt steak - he loves it. He alternates between the veal and the steak. Authentic Italian. I hadn't been back in a while - big mistake. I have definitely been missing out.
This was our first visit since it was it was Butera's. We went with another couple on a Sunday evening and used a Groupon.
The waiter was very good and didn't rush us along.
We had cocktails and had plenty of time for conversation before we ordered.
We ordered two appetizers, eggplant rollatini (very good) and an artichoke special that was just ok.
For dinner we had A Soft Shell Crab (special) and crabs were small and plate was very salty.
Saltimbocca (very very salty). I've had this dish in many restaurants over the years and sorry to say it was the worst.
Shrimp Scampi Risotto ehhh
Overall it was okay but we wouldn't again.
We have many good Italian Restaurants in the area that we go to on a regular basis but sadly this won't be one of them.
I was here about 6 months prior to this last visit. Food is excellent. We used a Groupon both times. But the prices are still good without it. The only thing I don't like is that if you order a chicken dish such as the francaise, it comes with like a handful of small baked potatoes instead of a choice of pasta found at a lot of Italian restaurants. But the food is excellent and I would go again
We had an average experience as we went in for lunch. For an hour or so we were the only party (4) in the place therefore hard to get a read on noise level.. service was very good...
Food was basic and average nothing was outstanding of what our party ordered.... wines were rather expensive... if u are looking for average this would be the place for you
We celebrated our daughter's 23rd birthday with my parents. The service was great; our waiter was very attentive - the place was busy for a Tuesday night. The baked clams need to be a little bigger. Other than that everything we ordered was delicious. This was my second time eating here and I will definitely come back
Everything was fine, food was good, service was well, too good if that's a thing. It's very nice to check and see if things are okay, and that being said our waiter was a little overboard in that respect, coming back many, many times to ask us. In his defense, he was exceptionally knowledgeable in the extensive list of specials for the day and he was quite courteous. It's a lovely restaurant, I would recommend to anyone.
