Gustav's Pub & Grill - Clackamas
We were celebrating our 46 anniversary,it’s a tradition at Gustav’s, ordered Hungarian chicken snitzal but after half way through realized it was veal so I took it home for others.
Normally we received a complementary desert in the past for our anniversary but nothing, though the front desk staff and the one who seated us was very friendly and wished us congratulations for our anniversary, our server was the opposite
Went with my girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. Our server was fantastic and treated us very well.
I love the fondue here, it's a must have.
The Swiss cheese fondue appetizers are amazing! These fonduesake a great difference, although the main dishes such as Sauerbraten are great as well.
Great experience. Good food, fantastic service although a little slow.
We tried a new item on the menu. Snitzle ( sp?) and apple. Very good, watch out, it is a very large portion. Comes with German potato salad. Hali, our very excellent server, recommends it and she was right!
My family has dined at Gustav's many time and the food is consistent, delicious and plentiful. Great German beer and generally a fun place to dine. Ya gotta try the Jagerschnitzel.
Took a long time to place our order. Food came out but onion soup wasn’t hot only warm. Our server got us a brand new one which we didn’t expect!
Caesar salad was good and rosemary bread!
Always great atmosphere.
We had an amazing server. She was so kind and thorough. Nice job.
Very good food and beers. Great service. Decent price. Worth repeat.
Food was bland and boring. Disappointed.
Good food, pleasant. One staff member was visibly frustrated with us not knowing whose order it was (it was a 4 second wait to figure it out) and her face showed her frustration which made things awkward. Not a big deal and yet I'm still remembering it. It was a Friday night so I'm guessing she had a long day.
It was our first time there, our server was Berkley.it was my son's birthday but we had not said anything,he overheard my husband say something about to my son.Berkley brought a free dessert at the end for my son which was so nice! His timing with every course was great! We never had to wait and we never felt rushed even though it was busy.Berkley should train servers there because he is a natural! A HUGE reason why I will return.
We love Gustav’s. Food is excellent always no matter what you order, and frankly I could, and almost did, make a meal of their cheese fondue with bread and sausage for dipping. I took most of my Chicken Jager home because I over ate fondue! Chicken was tender and delicious though. Hubby had roasted pork with mashed potatoes and red cabbage and ate every bite. Must have been good.
I do suggest making a reservation, which you can do online, for prompt seating.
Hope I don’t have to wait until next anniversary to go back!
We had the best waitress and the food was amazing. I love their new menu!
Sunday happy hour menu is awesome! We will definitely make a point of going back on a Sunday. Service was great and food was super. I had the Turkey Cobb salad from the Happy Hour menu and it was the best.
My kids love this place and we do too. They raised prices a little which is inevitable, and service this evening was slow. We will definitely be back because the food is always solid and I like beer!
Really enjoyed our time dining a Gustav's. Every chance we travel out to Seattle we make Gustav's our stopping point going to and from Seattle.
Great place to go with friends and family!
There were 8 of us celebrating Father’s Day. One of our meals was late coming out so they gave all 8 of us free dessert. Amazing service from start to finish!
Great food. Nice atmosphere. Food prep seemed to take a little longer than I expected.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at the Clackamas Gustav’s restaurant. The staff was amazing and very attentive.
Thank you so much!
Not a large selection on the menu. Very limited but good food.
Fantastic service, the water glass was ALWAYS filled and the effervescent attitude of our server was a genuine joy. The food was perfect, hot and flavorful, nothing but compliments from our group.
I took my mother out for her 93rd birthday. We are both familiar with Gustav’s and enjoy the food, atmosphere and service.
Becky was the best server we always ask to sit in her section. Food is always AMAZING!
My Drink was a bit week
My Salmon was a bit over done and dry
were never asked if we wanted additional rolls
Really good food... especially for a buffet, at a very decent price..my mom loved her Mother's Day brunch!! The carving station had an excellent pork loin roast with garlic.. fantastic! Our server Bring was awesome too!
Mother’s Day Brunch buffet was very good. We love Gustav’s and weren’t disappointed.
Mother’s Day with the family was even better because of the fantastic service
It would have been nice to know when I made the reservation that ONLY a buffet would be offered. We were looking forward to specific menu items and public grazing is not exactly my favorite way to eat.
FANTASTIC Mother's Day brunch with great food, endless mimosas, and friendly service. Well be back!
Have been before. Great place to eat. Went for Easter dinner and was looking forward to 30 day aged prime rib. We had reservations for 6pm and by that time they were out. That was disappointing but over all still a great place for good German food. Will be back for the pretzel fondue
Soup of the day, tomato fennel, but was pretty much just pureed tomatoes with no fennel flavoring. The bowl arrived warm on the bottom, but cool throughout... and for $8 plus, it wasn't a very generous portion - barely a cup and 1/2. We had to ask for bread, no crackers served with soup. Salads were limp with too much dressing. Shared a piece of Strudel which arrived warmed but was hard to cut with a fork. Odd texture, but had good flavor. Barely a tablespoon of whipped cream. Had to keep asking for water refills. Cheerful male waiter, but a young lady pretty much dumped our dessert on the table and turned around and left. I was a little embarrassed as I had highly recommended Gustav's to my guest. Things have changed quite a bit since I last ate here-not so sure I want to eat here for lunch again.
We celebrated two birthday on Sunday. Everything was good. We enjoyed being able seat & enjoy ourselves without feeling we had to hurry & get out.
Food and service was great....we cleaned our plates!
We had a very nice meal and evening with our relatives. Our Server was attentive and did an outstanding job! Sorry I can't remember his name...
We were meeting for happy hour but our friends got there first and were seated in the dinner area so we missed out on Happy Hour which is only served in the bar. They didn't know and no one told them when they were seated. My partner ordered the turkey sandwich but 15 minutes later someone came to tell us the turkey was not finished cooking so he had to choose another entrée, the beef dip sandwich, which he said was terrible. The drinks were very good and our waitress was exceptional! But the food just wasn't great. We will probably not go back.
Absolutely wonderful! Food was more than we could have hoped for! Ambience was great! I heard complaints about it being too dark. It didn’t bother any of us. It made us feel like we were the only ones in a packed restaurant! Service was wonderful!
I loved the German architecture and music! The food was outstanding and our waitress was very kind and quick
