GURU is a perfect example of fine dinning with art .The special ambience comfortably engulfs the diner, immersing them into a lusciously rich experience .Traditional Indian themes are seamlessly married with bespoke furnishings, mixing timber and creamy leather to create a contemporary and classic ambiance. The materials and finishes palette is truly rich and sumptuous, and accentuated by controlled lighting.

The menu is a rich accumulation of Indian recipes evolved to the next level of modernity and served in authentic home style way of serving from a entrée dish.
My first visit to Gurus and it was an amazing experience
The food was great. A little bit pricey. I needed to be reminded that it is like family dining as we ordered too much food for 2 people. We were seated by the reserved room which could get a little raucous at times. ? Maybe a door might help? Overall it is the best East Indian food in town.
The food was outstanding and the personalized service was even better. Great experience
Food was pretty good. Plate size is quite large so you have to share, which makes it harder to try lots of different things. Not the best Indian I’ve had but pretty decent
Flavours were great. Butter chicken and Lamb curry were dynamite. Tandoori chicken and chicken tikka were made with chicken breast and were dry. Chicken Tikka was terrible and cost $25. Food was good but horrendously overpriced. Wont be back.
Waitress was very loud and not overly attentive. Food was good but small portions and pricey.
Great experience as usual. Great dishes and attentive service by Austin. We’ll be back again.
Not impressed. Nice food but not exceptional, very small servings...
We had an amazing meal here. The samosas were fabulous, especially the butter chicken ones. We had the lamb vindaloo, butter chicken and mixed vegetables in a mango coconut curry. Everything was delicious! The garlic naan was warm and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious and tasty Indian food!!
The food and service was amazing. It would benefit to have colouring sheets for children😊
Once again we enjoyed the delicious food offered at Guru's !!
Great food, excellent flavours, and great service. Highly recommend.
Excellent food , highly recommend the chicken pops and the shrimp Chettinand
There are many awesome restaurants in Edmonton, but Guru has been my favorite since it opened. It is our number one go to for celebrating or introduction to friends of fine Indian cuisine.
Wonderful main courses (chicken birani and veg masala) with plenty of delicious naan (really- how do they get it crispy AND soft). Sorry I ordered the key line (rather bland) instead of the gulab j. Next time!
Great food. Normally do takeout, but the in restaurant experience was awesome. Food was delicious.
I’d been craving Indian for quite some time and this place hit.the.spot!
When the food hit my mouth it was like a rave for my taste buds. Would definitely come again.
Mango chicken was great but no sides included,,had to order 2 bowls of coconut rice,,17 dollars,,and 2 orders of naan bread 17 dollars for the 5 of us ,,won't go back,
This was our first time to Guru and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had. Jay's service was terrific and his suggestions were perfect. The vegetable sliders are to die for!
We are determined to make this a regular stop on our dinner tour.
I have been to this restaurant in the past for private functions, and they really do a good job introducing seldom-seen dishes and flavors.
Last night I went in on my own, and had an equally good experience. Everything is just at a higher level, from a unique take on an old fashioned, to the appies and mains. I ordered a lamb curry, and my excellent waiter included a little taste of the butter chicken, both were outstanding.
Even the rice was a higher level. Great attention to detail here.
But it is best to bring a friend, portions are big. One dish is more than enough for one person.
Poor service at the get go as I waited at the entrance for 5-10 before someone spoke to me. However once seated the waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious albeit pricey. Overall would gladly eat there again.
Always a great time with great food
Our server was absolutely outstanding! We were celebrating two birthdays and she made us feel like it was a real celebration.
This was our second time at this restaurant and we will be going again.
Absolutely delicious food! Great service and nice atmosphere.
Had the most amazing dinner at Guru! Thank you Gurjeet and Jay for a fabulous evening!!!
My sons 21st birthday. The food was great and the service impeccable. They even brought him a slice of cake for his birthday.
The food was not as good as usual, unfortunately. Samosas were smaller and a bit doughy, mango lassi was somewhat watered down, and there was a little bit of gristle on the butter chicken. However, service was great and the food in general was delicious. Just a little below their usual standard, in my opinion.
I’ve enjoyed Guru before and again this week with friends it did not disappoint. My friends were impressed by the selection and excellent preparation of each dish. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating in every way. Spices and sauce accompaniments are spot on and there wasn’t anything we didn’t enjoy to the last morsel. We will be back as there are many more choices to relish- great dining experience!!
Karen and friends
The service is fantastic every time.
The food and experience was excellent. It is a little pricey but worth it!
This was the perfect quiet birthday dinner! The service and food were amazing, our server asked extra questions to ensure we enjoyed what we were ordering, and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. We will definitely be back!
A friend said it was up to me to pick the place, I said I'd take her to my favorite, and introduced her to Indian food. She loved it, and I, as always, loved it too.
Food and service was great! Would definitely go back again
Service was great and the food was delicious. No complaints. We make sure to stop in whenever we make a trip to Edmonton!
Fantastic dinner and dining experience at Guru! Friendly staff with good recommendations, great service, and the best Indian cuisine we have ever tasted! The delicious meal was topped off by a complimentary dessert once the staff found out we were celebrating a birthday, which was a lovely touch.
If you are looking for great indian food and don't mind paying a little more, this is your place. Service is good but do not expect a quick meal at Guru. You are meant to sit and enjoy your meal. This isn't buffet. The servings are large and decadent!
I wasn't a huge fan of the club music playing at lunch time but it wasn't too loud.
Has very nice ambience. Service was friendly, pleasant and helpful. 2 dishes were outstanding, the butter chicken and the cauliflower. Dishes were all piping hot when brought to the table. Overall an excellent dining experience. We will be back.
Sunday @9 they turned off the music as if to usher us out; whilst several tables were still finishing desert and wine. We rushed to finish and departed with the only staff in the venue it seemed- the dishwasher? The food was great - the experience very weird unfortunately.
Great food but terrible service. Slow service and lacked knowledge of the menu and were rude.
