Great food - however, the restaurant needs better management. There were several tables very close to the main door which let in a cold draft from outside. We were uncomfortable and cold throughout our dinner which made for an unpleasant dining experience. Would not return for this reason.

The food is excellent. The menu is somewhat limited but the choices are diverse and the flavoring is excellent. We had thr ee different dishes and they were fresh, incredibly tasty and well presented. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive. I love Indian and this is one of the best that I have been to in NY.

Some of the dishes were delicious like the bhindi with guac and the bedmi poori aloo. The avo and pome raita was also yummy! But the service could have been better. The server would take an order, then forget about it. We'd have to call them back to remind them. Noise level also escalated once many tables were occupied.

Always welcoming and kind. Staff is so knowledgeable and the chef deserves looking at for a Michelin star!! So needed and welcomed in this lovely sleepy neighborhood!

This is my second time at GupShup, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times they’ve left a great impression on me. My wife and I have had naan at a dozen different Indian restaurants and in our opinion Gupshup has the best naan in New York City.
