We had a great experience. The food was delicious. I really liked the chief chef coming to our table and introducing himself. The server was knowledgable and nicely explained whatever questions we had. The ambience was nice.

Food is great but prices are outrageous. Been to many Indian resteraunts in my life and this was one of the priciest. We ordered an appetizer (fried okra), one dinner item (paneer dish), an order of naan, and gulab jamun for desert. Total came up to almost a hundred dollars before tip... And worst part was we were still hungry after the fact because of how small the portion sizes are. Large plates are essentially normal portion sizes for one person and small would leave anyone feeling hungry. The $16 gulab jamuns only had three of those tiny balls, and the crispy okras, while great in taste, were also outrageously expensive for the small amount we got. Bottom line, if you're spending $100 + tip at a restaurant you expect to leave feeling full (we are both skinny people, not big eaters) but we sure didn't. Worth it for the taste if you have some extra money digging a hole in your pocket but expect to leave feeling hungry unless unless you're okay spending a lot. At the end of the day with so many cheaper and just as tasty alternatives out there, I just can't help but think - why bother?

Dining at GupShup during Restaurant Week was a delightful experience that surpassed expectations. For $60, we enjoyed a three-course dinner that showcased the restaurant's ability to blend traditional flavors with modern presentation. Our meal began with the butter chicken wings, a standout starter that was both flavorful and perfectly cooked. The wings were generously coated in a rich, buttery sauce that had just the right amount of spice, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we opted for the butter chicken paired with garlic naan. The butter chicken was a masterclass in balancing complex spices and creamy textures. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill, with the rich, aromatic flavors coming through beautifully. The garlic naan was the ideal accompaniment, with its warm, fluffy texture and subtle garlic notes complementing the dish perfectly. Dessert was a crowning glory with the Gulab Jamun. This classic Indian sweet was executed with finesse—neither overly sweet nor heavy, it provided a balanced and satisfying end to the meal. The restaurant's ambiance was as impressive as the food. The space was beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhanced the overall dining experience. Additionally, the staff were attentive and professional, adding to the positive impression. In summary, GupShup delivered an exceptional dining experience with a menu that highlighted both the richness of traditional flavors and the finesse of modern culinary techniques. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal.

On the advertisement they had a dish which is no longer served since 2020 which I didn’t appreciate because that’s what made me want to go to the restaurant so I had to order something else. The drink was OK, but I felt it was overpriced for its taste.

Great potential with location, ambience and the chefs original, yet authentic tastes. However, all this is, undone by sub-par front of the house game. We arrived few minutes prior to our reservation, yet were not seated till 20 min past our reservation. Delays happen, the host could have made the wait better by offering seats at the bar or comp drinks while we waited. This is the same restaurant have a 15 min rule to give away your reservation if the guest arrives late. We patiently waited and after getting seated, the waiter continuously pressured and pushed us to order within 5 min and ordering too much. All of which is fine, but given our 25 min wait for our table, waiter could have been a bit more thoughtful to ensure our overall experience was worth the 100 a person bill.
