Gunther & Co.
The overall experience was exceptional. The staff was top notch and made sure to explain everything in detail. We absolutely loved it!
Savannah, our server, was a pleasure and a joy serving us on my birthday. She was kind, funny and knowledgeable about all items on the menu. Her fun and friendly banter made our experience even more enjoyable.
Amazing food and the server, Tara, was outstanding. Already planning a trip back. Would definitely ask for Tara again!
The food was average. My meal was a vegan option which was listed as having Mushrooms and quinoa. There were 2 mushrooms in my entree and about 15 pieces of asparagus stalks. No tips. Asparagus was not mentioned in the description . The Otopus appetizer was quite small for the price. My daughter had the tuna poke bowl which also quite disappointing. Would not go back for the food. Bar scene was lively.
Overall a good experience. Good oysters with a nice beer and wine selection and good food.
Gunther & Co is an amazing restaurant. The service was beyond good. I forget our waiters name but he was working in the bar table area and he was extremely knowledgeable. He was personable and guided us in the right direction without being pushy. The decor is great (especially in the main room). I highly recommend it to all!
From the 1/2 priced bottle of wine on Wednesday’s to their oysters and entrees and to the service it was a great first time experience. Being the lead bartender at Minnow baltimore I’m glad that I chose to go to this restaurant I’ll definitely be back! Thanks everyone for making date night awesome!
This is a Baltimore treasure for sure. My wife are dying to get back to Gunther and Co. The service was outstanding, the vintage feel of the building and warm and kind treatment by the staff was superb.
We celebrated my boyfriend's 30th here this weekend and it was fantastic! Great food, great atmosphere, and great service!
Spike was our server and he was excellent! Great place, coming back real soon.
A wonderfully crafted menu with plenty of options for all. I highly recommend the pork chop
The service was by far some of the worst service we have EVER received. The waitress was rude, unfriendly and very disrespectful. I am not one to write reviews but the service was so horrible, it was review worthy. We will not be back, sadly. The restaurant itself was very cool!
Love the look of the place.
The cocktails were especially creative and delicious
The food was very good, inventive, lots of local products. There were choices for everyone in our group, We had pescatarians, vegetarians, and meat lovers.
the oysters were presented nicely.
On the down side, the service was extremely slow. we did not complain but when it came time to order dessert and coffee we asked our server if it would take a long time as we had only about 20 minutes before we needed to leave. He assured us that he could get the desserts out in that time. Which he did. After we received our check, the manager came by and apologized for the long wait and comped our desserts and a dozen oysters. That was quite generous.
My wife and I went to Gunther’s for our 18th anniversary. We started at the bar and were treated to a very nice selection of rye whiskey. My wife enjoyed a seasonal cocktail. We were seated off to the side is the front dining room, we requested some place quiet.
Our meal started with shrimp and sausage over grits in. Tomato sauce it was excellent!
My wife had a custom burger for her entree it’s was cooked perfectly medium rare, the toppings were fresh and crisp.
I had a Grouper special served over Sumer squash, the seasoning was perfect and the fish was cooked
Spot on. We were treated to free desert with happy anniversary written on the plate in chocolate sauce.
We also shared a chocolate cherry cake that was out of this world!
I was pleasantly surprised to find a selection of teas to go with our desert.
All and alll we had a wonderful experience and will be back.
Another fine meal. Pork chop was outstanding. Plenty parking and great decor
Sunday Supper. Highly recommend. All menu specials are available along with regular menu.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The service was outstanding, every single meal in our group got rave reviews. Just wish it hadn't taken us so long to go the first time. We'll be back very soon!
We have been to Gunther & Co. several times for Bruch and once for dinner.
Service and food are always excellent.
Can't wait for the fall to enjoy the great patio space.
I would and have highly recommended this restaurant.
Excellent service and
Very private and quiet. Enjoyed the meal and great wine selection.
The architecture and design are very appealing. The cocktail and wine menus are worth the visit alone. Wait staff was very professional and attentive. We ordered the Oyster Teaser appetizer, the Duck Spring Rolls, Fried Green Tomatoes, Wood Fire Flatbread, The Burger and the Thai Seafood Hot Pot. If you enjoy spicy food, the Thai Seafood Hot Pot is a must. The flavors are layered perfectly.
Went here for my wife’s birthday with 8 people at our table. The restaurant itself is very cool & beautiful. The servicer took himself way too seriously but prompt, our glasses were always full. Food was good, I would definitely return.
The music was too loud and the acoustics where poor so I had a hard time listening to the person across the table.
Highly recommend for a group brunch! We were in the private room upstairs, which was gorgeous and comfortable, but the main dining area was also not overly crowded. The service was excellent (not always easy when serving a large party of 14) and the brunch menu had healthy options and traditional breakfast options. Excellent mimosas.
Twice now on the patio at Gunther & Co. and it's the perfect place for a nice summer night meal. The service was fantastic and the food - excellent on both occasions. Highly recommend.
The food was unique and delicious, rustic with modern spin. The atmosphere was modern yet chic
Gunther & Co. is our favorite Baltimore restaurant. We dine there every time we take/pick-up/visit our college student at MICA. The service is impeccable, and the food is always great. One of us is vegetarian, and there is never a problem accommodating dietary needs. The cocktails are fun and well-executed, too!
We had the perfect weather for outside. Wasn't too noisy. Lovely setting. I had been there for lunch and wasn't impressed because had not even the wonderful back part, so this was a delight. It was a perfect arrangement for us four adults.
Food was mediocre at best, which is unfortunate, because the first few times we dined here, the food was awesome. Not sure if we'll be back 😑
I went here for my bday last night with my husband. It was a Tuesday so it was not crowded and we likely didn't need a reservation.
The interior is spacious and modernly decorated. My only negative about the ambiance in general was the gnats, there were several lingering around our table throughout our time there.
The wine and drink list is expansive and we opted for cocktails and then wine for dinner. All were yummy.
We split the fried green tomatoes as an app and got a few oysters. The tomatoes were fresh and thick and delicious. The oysters were fantastic but we didn't know which was which when they came out.
As entrees I got the scallops and my husband got the seafood hot pot. For the prices, I think each dish was plentiful, filling, and tasty. The risotto with the scallops was so rich and luscious I couldn't finish it all. The scallops were perfectly seared. My husband said he enjoyed the spice of his dish.
They brought out a birthday dessert that had vanilla ice cream and toasted marshmallow. Considering the ice creams read off to us sounded delicious, I do wish I could have selected the ice cream to go inside the birthday dish since the vanilla that came with it was a bit bland (but what can I say -- it was free).
We will definitely be back to try the Happy Hour at the bar!
Everything was great
We love this restaurant. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly without being too familiar. The food is excellent. The menu has a good amount of variety so there should be something that appeals to everyone. We will definitely be back!
Family visied here for my brother and mother's birthday...service was good....food was good had the pork chop would try them again and try something else.
Our experience was great. The atmosphere and decorating was an absolute favorite during our visit. All of our food was really good and had a ton of flavor. Our waiter was incredibly nice and helpful as it was our first visit. We started with the cheese plate and that was amazing. My boyfriend order the oven roasted chicken and I ordered the pork chop. It was all incredibly delicious. The only downside was my pork chop was undercooked but I asked to have it cooked through more and they did it. It came back much better and I am really glad I got it. We are looking forward to coming back
This was our 2nd visit and my second impression was not as good as the first. The service was good, but the food was inconsistant. The oysters and appetizers were great, The fish special was delicious but very small for the price The smore dessert had a strange flavor of butane used to melt the marshmallows. Also, we attempted to get a cocktail at the bar but could never get anyone to wait on us When I finally did order a cocktail, there was a mistake and it tasted terrible. We will try it again, but for the price, I was dissapointed.
Went there on Sunday at six and the place was virtually empty. Service was prompt and efficient. Appetizers and entrees were very good but it dropped off with desserts which were average at best.
This was my third time dining at Gunther & Co., and each experience has been nothing short of incredible. The service is top notch, the food is outstanding, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. The chef is a culinary genius and clearly puts a significant effort into keeping the menu seasonally appropriate and cohesive. The waitstaff are knowledgable about both the current menu as well as any specials they may be having, and they, as well as the backwait/bussers, are attentive to your every need. If you haven't tried this place out yet, I urge you to give it a shot, it will not disappoint!
The tables next to us were very, very close- but other than that, it was amazing!
The food was sublime. The flavor combinations on point and the balance amazing. There was not a single dish we had tonight that was any better than another. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an incredible meal worth every dollar spent.
