Gunther & Co.
My in-laws were in town for their first time visiting Baltimore. We all could not say more about how great this place was. Everyone loved their food choices, the ambiance is amazing and their specialty drink choices were great.
Good food. Prices are definitely on the higher side but there is an all day menu that has cheaper options. Still the dinner menu is very worth it as it just has fancier options. SO got the roast chicken while I got the chicken sandwich. Both were very moist but the roast chicken has much more depth than mine. Fries were very tasty but also the overall quality of the food was extremely good. Our waitress was very attentive and explained everything very clearly to us.
The experience was wonderful. This is my second time here for brunch and it was even better than the first time. This time I had the Squash Quiche and fell in love. I will definitely be back!
It’s just a wonderful neighborhood place
This restaurant has really hit it's stride. The food is as good as any top Baltimore venue, and maybe better. The ambiance and service top rate
Wonderful service amazing food and the cocktails were delicious. Would recommend for any occasion. Will define return.
Excellent service, fantastic food, nice atmosphere.
Food was excellent and served in reasonable portions. Wait staff was attentive. Took us awhile to figure out parking situation as all street parking is reserved for residents but we eventually found the lot reserved for the restaurant and neighboring commercial establishments. Overall great experience.
Food and service is always excellent at Gunther.
We enjoyed the beautiful weather and their great outdoor space.
Had a great experience.
We had just gotten engaged and the staff made it so special for us! We will be going back there ASAP, food, setting, staff were all amazing. Highly recommend
This was a great find. Tucked away in Brewers Hill, this historic building has great outdoor space. Presentation of the food was beautiful. Service apwas very good. Good choices on the menu and really unique cocktails. Would recommend this as a nice place to sit with friends and enjoy good food, service and atmosphere. I will be back.
Restaurant week 3 course meal selections were very good, with dessert being the best part. Peach 'tart' was creative and delicious.
Husband's chicken sandwich on regular menu was dry, a poor choice, but accompanying fries were very good. To its credit, restaurant chef gave him a free dessert to compensate for the sandwich, half returned.
Restaurant is very attractive with multiple areas to dine, including nice outdoor patio.
Super fun, delicious brunch for restaurant week!
Did not know about outdoor seating.....wish we had been asked upfront about sitting outdoors. Did not like the second level table as it was fairly empty . Otherwise did like everything and our server was great.
Went for a birthday dinner. The place was sort of empty, although there were no reservations available on opentable. Food was ok. Prices a bit higher than expected. Service was good. Outdoor parking. I wouldn’t say I don’t recommend it but I’m not sure I would go again.
A delight all around w/knowledgeable and enthusiastic server, very very yummy food (talented chef!) and pretty space
We loved the food and service at Gunther! Our server made great recommendations for both food selections and wine pairings, plus he was quite friendly and personable. This was our first visit, but we'll be back!
The music was def too loud for me but others prob would not agree. I was surprised and annoyed that although we arrived a few mins before 5:00 for our 5:00 reso, they were not ready to seat us-not for at least 15 mins. (and we had been told they would only hold our table for us for 5 mins)
The food was excellent and so were the drinks!
Great night to eat outside. Peter, our waiter did an excellent job.
Went during lunch restaurant week. The food was good desert was great. The service was outstanding. On the small side making it kind of cozy didnt mind though. Would definitely go back.
We had a delicious Restaurant Week meal on your patio. A wonderful evening!
The dining environment is great and our server was great too. That's probably all the good things I have to say about this restaurant.
We ordered 6 dishes in total (3 main & 3 appetizer) for Sun brunch. Only the soup appetizer tasted really amazing. Fresh toast and peach cake were way too sweet. It's like eating straight sugar! For one egg dish that were supposed to eat with pita, they gave us three pita the size of potato chips. We asked for more, and they gave us another three and saying that the restaurant had really low stock of pita... It's kinda ridiculous. Won't come back again.
One of our favorites in Baltimore. Dining in the old Gunther Brewery Boiler Room where we usually sit at the chef's counter to see the action. Great cocktails, wine list, and seasonal specials.
Had a great time.
My friend and I decided to go to Gunther &Co. during restaurant week and it was the best decision. I hast a two course meal. My first course was a watermelon and feta salad with arugula. My second course was the peaches and cream French toast. Both dishes were amazing! The flavors were delicious and the French toast was exceptionally great. The ambiance is also great is very industrial and modern. We sat in the bar area where we were surrounded by industrial beams, large windows and great lighting. It was a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to return!
We love everything about the Gunther - BEAUTIFUL restaurant, delicious and creative menu, excellent and friendly service. It continues to be our local favorite!
Excellent service and staff was very knowledgeable. I described what kind of cocktails I preferred and my waiter recommended the perfect drink. Highly recommend the tea smoked duck breast, I’m still dreaming about it.
I just love how the chef uses all of the great seasonal vegetables this time of year! We shared the tomato appetizer, soo good! I had the risotto entree, AMAZING!! My husband loves the pork chop, and orders it every time!! We are never disappointed.
The dessert menu, and pastry chef are equally amazing! Somehow we always save room for dessert!!
Atmosphere, food and service everything you would expect from an outstanding restaurant.
Tried this place out while visiting Baltimore last weekend and absolutely loved it! Super cool place, perfect atmosphere, great drinks and even better food.
Great brunch to have a drink and catch up. Food was delicious! Choices were wonderful and varied.
Slightly undercooked pork chop but spectacular otherwise
This restaurant really delivers from the appetizers to the desserts. If you eat at Gunther & Co. you will leave feeling as though you just had a complete meal from start to finish.
Great food and great service!
Absolutely wonderful. Our food was spectacular and the drinks were great. We met the bar manager, Andy, at the bar before our reservation and he did a great job helping us select our cocktails and explaining the menu to us. We loved it and can’t wait to go back!
Great food, wine and desserts
My brother & I went to Gunther & Co. for lunch as it was my birthday that we were celebrating.
We were warmly received and as soon as we were seated the jolly waiter came by to take our drink orders. When he returned he told us the specials of the day. I ordered one of those specials and it was a lobster roll. When it came it was pretty good but a bit dry. My brother had the Thai salad and it was delicious. Because it was my birthday, a gratis sundae was served which was delicious.
HOWEVER, when my brother got the bill, he was incredulous at the price of the lobster roll. He asked me how much I thought it was and I said it couldn’t be more than $20. IT WAS $33‼️ We were both shocked because Mason’s at Belvedere Square has a delicious lobster roll with melted butter for $14.95 so to charge $33 is simply OUTRAGEOUS. Since my brother was treating I did feel bad about his having to fork that much out for a lobster roll. By the way, Ocean City, Maryland has a thriving lobster industry and the chef should look into getting his lobsters from there instead of Maine.
I certainly won’t boycott Gunther & Co. but I just wanted the restaurant to know that that lobster roll was way over-priced and had the waiter stated how much it was I never would have ordered it.
My first experience at Gunther & Co. was great! Everything from the service, the ambience, to the food were excellent. My partner and I enjoyed the octopus appetizer, kanpachi "cioppino," and the scallops. We got some lychee sorbet for dessert, which topped it all off. The quality of the food really shined through and I can't wait to visit Gunther & Co. again!
The cocktails were exactly as requested. The appetizers were delicious. We had the oysters and the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrees from the lobster flatbread to the duck. It was wonderful.
The server was a bit inexperienced or possibly new to Gunthers but very delightful and aytentive. The food was a bit late. We were advised of the kitchen schedule promptly and received some additional appetizers and dessert.
