Gum Bistro is located on land of the Jagera and Turrbal people. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians, and Elders past, present and future, of the lands on which we work and live, and further acknowledge, thank and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the land in the multitude of Aboriginal countries across Australia from which so many of our products come from.

Absolutely love Gum Bistro! The two young owners are extremely professional and wow the food! Delicious, comforting, and intentional. I wish I could cook like this at home, they have such diversity in their ingredients all the whilst making the dishes enjoyable for all. Also, you can tell the owners have learnt a lot from other restaurants, as they apply their best knowledge here: a very modest yet original entrance, modern interiors, beautiful paper for their well-designed menus.... Everything is unpretentious and refined yet still accessible for many - when I dined I saw young couples and then an elderly group of friends. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was quick!

Breakfast menu is interesting and food is of a high quality with great ambiance and service. Highly recommend as a quiet place for breakfast just don’t expect barista coffee options (filtered coffee only).

Such a special spot. The menu is small, considered and perfectly executed insanely good food, simply must try, the fit out is gorgeous and warm and the staff are lovely. Seriously worth a visit, they're doing breakfast on weekends now and it's delicious!

A really classy little bistro. Genuine professional service all the way through. I’ve been twice now and the food is exceptional and the reason I returned. . High quality and truly delicious. We had the anchovy toast, tuna cerviche and the snapper with a bitter salad and potatoes. The sauces were perfectly made and the presentation, beautiful and restrained. I’ll be back.

From booking to waiting service, Gum Bistro staff were always attentive, friendly and accomodating. Meals were delicious, and exceptional quality. I would definitely go back.

Great food as always. Loved the warm sourdough to start with tempura veges. The quail is always a stand out and the gold band snapper was moist with a crunchy skin . The potato side was crispy with a dressed salad to compliment the richness of the fish and quail. Great friendly service.
