One waitress had too many tables and informed us from the moment we arrived that she was covering a large area and she would be with us ASAP. She was obviously stressed and it showed in her demeanor. Once order placed it took over an hour to get our food and one of our entree’s was missed. She quickly asked the cook to rush and it arrived 10 minutes later. Embarrassing considering the order that was missed belonged to our guest that had just arrived in the USA within hours of this meal. Sad to say I would not recommend.
(Also bathroom smelled and was not well maintained.)
Gullifties is always a good place for a casual meal. We have never been disappointed.
It was out first time eating at Gulliftys. We were seated right away at an indoor table. Our waitress greeted us fairly quickly but after that it all went downhill. Our server did say that they were short staffed but it was ridiculous. We barely saw her after she took our order. We were a group of six and started with apps to share. Our appetizers were delivered but no plates. We couldn’t find any employee to ask for plates. Three of us got our entrees. We were told the remaining dinners would be right out. After a few minutes those of us with food in front of us started eating. We were nearly halfway done before the others got their food. When we were placing the order for our entrees, two of us asked for draft beers. We didn’t get them until well after the meals arrived. We’ve worked in restaurants and are usually pretty understanding but this was beyond bad. The manager on duty should have stopped by to apologize. Not looking for anything to be comped but an acknowledgement of the poor service. I doubt we’ll go back and will probably tell others the same.
Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our food to come. Have no idea what was going on but everyone was waiting extremely long for their orders to come out. The waitress kept telling us it was coming shortly but it took forever. When we complained she said she was going to have the manager come over but he never did. I never saw a manager go over and talk to any of the customers that were all waiting for their food. Our waitress offered to pay for part of our bill because she felt bad but we refused because it wasn’t her fault. We will never return. Management is sorely lacking at this establishment.
super outside dining experience pre-movies. it was great that we could bring our young teenagers too. they loved the menu. there’s something to eat for all tastes!
Overall very underwhelming. The nachos were something you could make at home. We added chicken and guacamole and they were over $15. The salad again was very underwhelming and had little substance. Once I added salmon, that was over $20. The dessert though was great but won’t return.
Food is excellent!
It was a very nice date night, food was good, drinks were good and ambiance was good!
Great food, service and nice pricing on the food. Sat inside this time but outside seating is really nice.
Just lunch while we in town
Good if not great food with a great beer list and tasty desserts.
The service was very slow--it took over 45 minutes to get our entrees after ordering. It was not busy in the restaurant, so perhaps it was a staffing issue. I have not encountered this issue here in the past, so hopefully it was a one off.
Our party of five sat in the dining area on a Tuesday night. There was a balloon maker for the kids, which was fun. The menu was varied; a lot to choose from for kids and adults. My husband’s burger was “average” but the kids gave two big thumbs up for the pizza. My uncle and I had the chicken curry (on their special list). It came with a nice variety of vegetables but we were both disappointed the chicken was dry.
The service was good. Overall, we would try the restaurant again but I would not order the chicken. The ambience was very casual and nice for a family. There was a good crowd at the bar but we were easily able to hear each other talk in the dining area.
Everything was great
Very good food, nice place pleasant service. The food here is always fresh and hot when it is supposed to be.
Well it is the Fourth of July. Noted. They must have been terribly understaffed especially in the kitchen. It literally took 60 minutes after ordering to get 2 sandwiches. Even took far too long to get the check. But.. waitress was pleasant and I felt awful for her. Lady next to us complained her food was hot but fries were cold. Two more women behind us waited over an hour for their food. Was a disaster and I’ve no doubt gulliftys staff will be ecstatic at quitting time.
This is a great overall family restaurant, with a varied menu and a good beer & wine selection.
Great food overall! I like that they make food and most sauces from scratch, which is becoming more rare.
It’s been about 20 years since we’ve been To Gullifty’s and it will be another 20. “House Cut” nachos were poured from a Fritos bag with ice berg lettuce, salsa and cold cheese dumped on top. Waitress was non existent and gave us two glasses of water for 4 people. Never asked for our second drink. It’s at best, a burger joint at worst long over done.
We are very disappointed to read of your recent unsatisfactory return. Although I believe you were unhappy in every fashion of your visit...the claim you made about the chips used for the product is flat out wrong. They are hand cut and made from raw materials in house every day. Your specific comments about the chips are at best careless and at worst libelous. Please contact us via our website so we can discuss this issue in further detail without the 500 character restraint.
Always a good place to go. Food is good and the people are friendly.
Seemed like they were understaffed so service was a bit slow but the staff that was there was hustling! Food was terrific as always.
Both the food and service was great! Our server Dill was on point with everything!
This is the second time we went there and had hoped that the wait time the first time was an off night. Second night was the same. Food for kids took a while to arrive and our adult meals were a good half hour or more later. We come because the food is generally good, good variety, and nice ambiance but we wish the service was quicker.
Always a good solid choice for dinner. Beers always excellent. Salmon consistently very good. Had ribs for first time and they were good not great. Not as tender or sauce as tasty as a rib house.
WORST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED----WAITED FOR SERVICE, WAITED FOR WATER,WAITED FOR DRINKS AND WAITED ANOTHER 45 MINUTES FOR FOOD----WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION OR APOLOGY----WE HAD A TABLE OF 9 PEOPLE. YOU WOULD THINK A MAIN LINE RESTAURANT WOULD DO BETTER SINCE IT WAS ABOUT 30%OCCUPIED
Food took a long time to come out. Kids meals came out over half hour earlier than the rest. Food was underwhelming. We may have ordered poorly. Otherwise the atmosphere was comfortable and energetic which was enjoyable.
Suburban staple for decades.
I love the atmosphere of the establishment. Upscale sports bar with two levels and you are pleasantky surprised by the live band as you enter the lower level. Service was superb and our waiter Aiden whom was new to the job, did an outstanding job of tending to our needs in a timely manner, I never would be known he had just started if he didn't mention it. The food was pretty good for a sports bar, overall it was a nice experience.
Very good food and consistent friendly service makes this our go-to casual spot. Good burgers, chips and fries, salmon, grilled sandwiches and Caesar salads, onion rings, beers, and variety of entrees.
Can be inconsistent on really busy nights, but those are the exception and not the rule. Young servers can sometimes err also, but they are smart and learn quickly.
Good place for bar food. Outside was closed for a private party but a good place to hang out.
While I have been to Guliftys in the past and enjoyed it, this visit was disappointing. It has been a go to place for mothers day and Valentine's day with my mother and wife and daughter and this mothers day was not enjoyable. Not only were we seated at a table that was not fully cleared, the table was not wiped off. Our server was polite but seemed scattered and preoccupied with trying to fix other parties orders being wrong. It was not looking good for us but we tried to stick it out. We were promptly seated and placed our drink, appetizer, and dinner orders. After 45 minutes we had only been served our drinks, one was a draft Miller lite that was flat. We decided to leave and as we got to the door our server was approaching with our appetizers. We informed him that we were leaving and he apologized and we were on our way. I'd like to say we'll be back to give it another chance but it will be pretty tough.
Mother’s Day brunch was very nice
Its been a long time since I have been here. We made reservations for brunch for mothers day and clearly they were not prepared to handle the amount of people. We had to walk downstairs with my MIL with two broken feet to get food. The buffet was hit filled very often and there was no shrimp cocktail which was a main reason we chose the restuarant shed on the menu. We had no napkins utensils or drinks. The service was so very slow which was unfortunate. The food we did have was good but not worth the buffet costs for just pancakes and omelets. We were disappointed and others nearby us were too.
Service is poor. Almost always understaffed and not efficient this is a college sports bar with great potential but it fails to address basics. Menu is limited, kitchen is slow, and wait staff over worked, all of which is a management issue. This place could be great, expand menu slightly and improve service.
We brought our grandsons to Gullifty’s to celebrate the older one’s 12th birthday. I can’t say enough about bow excellent our server was. It was a busy night & they were understaffed, but our waiter (I wish I could remember his name! - Temple student, friendly & chatty) was wonderful. Dry attentive & kept us informed about what’s happening. He also was great with the kids. The food is reliably good. The crab cakes, tho expensive, we’re outstanding! We’ve been patronizing Gullifty’s for a long time. It’s a great place!
Here’s the thing. Your food is excellent excellent. Prices are great too. Service is slow, no silverware given. Had to use my hands to cut my sons pizza because it took that long. This is the second time the service hasn’t been great. I do love this place but honestly servers look miserable at times.
We had great service from the start. Very attentive waitress. Had business dinner and they were very impressed with the choice of restaurant. Will definitely be back!
Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Enjoyed the salmon risotto, chicken parmigiana and spinach and cranberry salmon salad. Key lime pie was delicious..also enjoyed chocolate mousse and caramel waffle. Overall very positive experience. Our server Ebony was very attentive and friendly. We will be back!
I was there on a evening when there was a game on the TVs. That made the noise level really high. Otherwise it’s a good restaurant with an extensive menu!
Hadn’t been there in years. Delicious food. Would keep your curry chicken on menu.
