   This restaurant is under-staffed. Not enough wait staff when large parties had reservations. I made a reservation a week in advance and expected better service from Gulfstream with 4.7 rating. The kitchen messed up an order. The waitress messed up our wine bottle. We waited 20 minutes after our meal before she showed up to close out our check. High price for bad service and less than stellar food.

   Wait staff used to wear dress clothes and now wear jeans which makes it feel more casual. No frozen drinks here anymore, which is sad. They used to make a great pina colada.

   My husband and I celebrated our 38th anniversary at Gulfstream Cafe and we absolutely loved it. The hostess greeted us with a Happy Anniversary wish and once we were at the table we were surprised to see little confetti hearts sprinkled on our table. Our server “ Josh “ was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs. He treated us to a champagne toast and really made our dinner experience memorable. The food was delicious! My husband loved the seafood platter with baked potato and my salmon was cooked perfectly. One of the managers visited our table to make sure that we were having a nice experience and he was very friendly. Gulfstream Cafe is also a beautiful place to take pictures so we always get great pictures. I definitely recommend making a reservation because the restaurant is so popular year round.

   As usual the food was excellent. For some reason tonight the grouper franchise was really good. We went early so the parking was good. That’s the only drawback for me. Otherwise it would be a monthly stop.

   Friends from out of town joined us at Gulfstream Cafe for what was one of the most enjoyable and delicious meals we have experienced since moving to South Carolina, and we dine out a lot! From being greeted and seated in a lovely spot, to the wonderful server, fantastic food, and a satisfaction check from the manager, we all loved every moment. Also, the view across Murrell’s Inlet enhanced the comfortable seating. Don’t miss this restaurant when you’re looking for a fabulous dining experience.

    Restaurant is beautiful with outstanding views. Food is good, not great! It took hours to get food.
