The server was excellent, but I was disappointed in my particular meal for a restaurant of this reputation. I ordered the beef tenderloin medium rare. What I received was a 4 oz piece of meat that was medium well. If I wasn't on a date, I would have commented at the time. At this price point, a larger serving size done correctly is mandatory. As a reference, my date's piece of salmon was literally 2.5x the size of my portion. I cannot believe my meal made it past the line. A portion this small never should have made it to the grill, let alone have been plated. The roasted red cabbage and sweet potato puree were both fine and her salmon was excellent.

We were given a gift certificate as a birthday present. Ambiance, not so much. Food good to average - get that skirt steak off your menu. Service was spectacular with excellent wine recommendations. Otherwise, overrated and quite overpriced.

So sorry it took us so long to find Guildhall. It is the perfect restaurant to visit before or after going to Writer's Theatre.

Started off with a great Sauvignon Blanc. Large Pour! Then we had the carrot soup...fabulous. Crusty bread accompaniment was perfect. Entrees.....The Brussels Sprouts side was one of the best we have ever had. I ordered the Squash Tortellini...unique and delicious. Husband ordered the Fish and Chips. Excellent! Finished off with the Apple Tart with spectacular Coconut Ice Cream. Truly, everything was fabulous and way above average. Service staff also superior.

I love this restaurant so much. The staff is always friendly, the food is well-prepared and presented, and it is one of the loveliest rooms you will find anywhere on the North Shore.

It’s noisy and it’s busy, but Guildhall is terrific! Great choices, generous servings, wonderful preparation. We had fritto misto (puffy fried seafood)and a bacon/onion/cheese tarte (would have been enough for us alone) to start: they were excellent! Our entrees were a tasty skirt steak and a special fish, escolar which was so fresh and buttery, it melted in your mouth. A nice wine list, prompt service, and a rocking atmosphere. If it’s too loud, you’re too old!! We’ll be back for sure!

Guildhall is a good, reliable, moderately priced restaurant in Glencoe. I had a salmon with an excellent sear, but slightly more cooked than I prefer. It was nicely presented and well seasoned. I enjoy the place, but it can get somewhat loud when filled.

Everything was excellent. The place was busy, but service was still excellent. I’ve esten at quite a few restaurants in the city. Since moving to the burbs, I’ve found the restaurant scene pretty boring. Guild Hall is my favorite place to date.

Great food on a very busy Saturday night. The seasonal menu served a wonderful sweet potato and carrot soup and the squash tortellini was amazing! Service was good and friendly ... great venue for a date night.

I took 3 of my grandchildren to Guildhall to celebrate their October birthdays. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Food and presentations were very nice. Their ages are 30, 24, and 18 and while the portions are not very large, along with a couple of appetizers and the wonderful, lovely desserts that were presented (compliments of the restaurant) everyone seemed to have enough to eat. We were seated at the time of our reservations and its a very attractive venue.

Took my daughter here for Sunday Brunch. Next time we are coming with more people so I can sample more items on the menu. The Chilaquiles were delicious. My daughter had the Pain Perdu which was amazing. The donut flavors sounded so good but was too full to try.

What could otherwise have been an outstanding choice, the noise level was DEAFINING!!’ Timed it for after theatre crowd, to no avail ...barely heard the specials. Felt for your servers. 3rd visit and Sam SORRY I ont be back unless Im walking by and see it’s not crowded. VERY VERY relieved I did not choose for our NW grad celebrations June. Went to Avli instead...wise choice. How can Guildhall be a celebratory choosing when you can’t hear anyone?

A wonderful venue to enjoy a relaxed evening with terrific food. The food was so flavorful. Of particular note was their chicken. It was so moist and the flavor of the herbs were so infused in each bite. We went for a birthday and they made it a special occassion.

Love having Guildhall here in Glencoe. Usually we can count on having a good meal here but other than the haloumi appetizer which was excellent our meal was very average. Both our dishes were extremely salty and underwhelming .

This place has gone seriously downhill. The food lacks creativity and execution is poor. It looks promising on the surface, but the reality is a big letdown. We had a lite meal including salad, soup, gnocchi, and wine/cocktail. Other than the cocktail, it all fell flat. Soup could have been fro Trader Joe’s. Salad was soggy and lacked texture. Pasta too salty and unimaginative. Too many reasonable alternatives to bother with this place. Too bad, because super convenient.

This was our fifth time at Guild Hall and all of our visits were truly enjoyable on all levels. Warm greeting upon arrival always gets us off to a good start. Clearly an effort has been made to hire staff who seem to care about what they do. And, the food has never disappointed. Our group sampled three of the salads; all were great. Entrees included the salmon, sea bass and tuna (for me). Everything was very well prepared! We will be back.

Why do restaurants seem to think that a noise level that drowns out all conversation is a good idea? Guildhall has fine food and service, clever interior design, but the four of us could not hear each other, even shouting, concentrating on lips and cupping our hands behind our ears. We won't be back. Too bad for all of us.

Great food, and definitely one of the better restaurants on the North Shore. Sides are tasty, but a bit expensive. Their cocktails are perfect, and they have a great bar space. It's a good, local, "go-to" spot!

Guildhall is quickly becoming one of my favorite North Shore restaurants. The staff are all very friendly. The decor is calming, but very up to date. And the food is delicious. I have yet to have a bad meal. ...definitely recommend the cinnamon role for brunch too.

Beautiful space. Easy parking. Decent service. Extremely limited lunch menu. Mediocre food. Management seemed confused about their clientele. Older people at lunch with friends or family, or local people at business lunches were not a good match for 80s disco, played at painful volume. When we asked our waitress to lower the volume or change the music, the owners/management were indifferent and apparently refused. Will not return.

Good, imaginative food; moderate sized portions. Attentive supervision; indifferent waiting--had to ask three times for more bread and butter; over-exuberant waiter with barely understandable English. Noisy on a Friday night. Good ambience; glad they got rid of the high-top tables. A bit pricey.
