We had a great experience at Guavas. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious food.
Always great food and wine and I love the toasty fireplace!!
What a great neighborbood place! The food is truly awesome (and my friend who is Cuban-American agreed !).
Nice, casual ambience; friendly and attentive service; delicious food and ample portions! Will be back.
Guava's never disappoint. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable.
A great little place with excellent food and service!
Music a little too loud. The shrimp rice bowl was excellent! Cubana sandwich very good (not as authentic as expected). Flan was okay (too sweet). Lots on the menu we’ll be back to try. Overall a great meal.
Wonderful food, lovely service!
Polite service, good food and fascinating menu. Will be coming back
What a fabulous little cafe with excellent service and yummy food. As a vegetarian for entrees I have only ordered the veggie bowl, but it is is packed with flavor. The sides I have had the tropical chips and dip and the tostones and they are both great! I have been there twice and both times it was raining so did not get to sit outside on the patio, but inside they have a great fireplace to add to the ambiance. Definitely a favorite cafe to go to.
$40 Wednesday date night is a DEAL! Food was fantastic!
Neighborhood quaint, clean, have to order at register and find table to sit and wait for food to be delivered. Food came out hot, very good flavors, a lot of food, will definitely come back.
Delicious food and coffee 🤩the service was prompt and kind.
My family is always on the lookout for awesome neighborhood eateries and this one did not disappoint! Fantastic food all the way around. We had Veggie Bowl, Cubano sandwich and Steak & Shrimp Al Ajillo and all were outstanding! The Flan and Tres Leches were spectacular. Wonderful neighborhood style Cuban cafe.
Food was excellent but waitress couldn’t hear well, got our order a little bit off
Always enjoy eating at Guavas. Tried something new this time and didn’t regret it.
Service was kind and generous. Good was great. Will return.
Amazing food and nice atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.
This place is so incredible! I love the good and the staff and the outdoor seating! Wish I lived closer to come more often!!
We love the food at Guavas!! We are never disappointed.
This place is awesome! Definitely try something new that you haven't had before...worth it!
I know it sounds boring, but the chips and dip are awesome! Plantain and Yucca chips!!!
food was delicious. staff was friendly and helpful. could have brought more tables outside sooner
Great atmosphere, food and staff. Menu has a lot of options and staff was helpful with making selections.
Fantastic food and ambience . You have to order at counter which is a bummer for a big party
Excellent food. Generous portions
Awesome food with a good selection to choose from. Clean with modest atmosphere. Friendly service.
Another nice meal at Guava's. Order taking efficient and accurate. Weird that the restaurant was out of the special of the day at 5:00 pm. Sat outside, which is a nice option in the Age of COVID even if the outdoor patio isn't the most attractive. The croquettas and the black beans need flavor boosts but otherwise the dishes were terrific and the portions generous.
LOVE Guavas Cuban Cafe. Great food, friendly staff, good wine and drinks list. Best ceviche in the Twin Cities IMO. Excellent flan, too. Nice patio out front. Highly recommended.
Reminds me of home cooking of my abuela. I will return.
I will choose the "sanguiches" (any of them), the "ropa vieja", "vaca frita", "tamal con lechon" this is a must, "chicharron de pollo"
Love the food, drinks and desserts here, especially the coratdito! I had the veggie hash as well; love the sauces. Neighborhood gem! Easy in/out with ordering at the counter.
Awesome! Great food and friendly staff. And the best Cuban coffee I have had since I was in Miami!
Love this place, I grew up eating Latino dishes like this (not Cuban) and the food is very good and authentic. Of course it has an Americanized flare but that’s on the customers not the restaurant. Can’t make everyone happy
Great food at extremely reasonable prices, with friendly service, in a comfortable space. Excellent ceviche (many local restaurants don't get this dish right), tasty maduros (wish there were more to a serving), and the entrees were fabulous, too. Not only that, they have a wonderful flan (another dish lots of restaurants don't do well) and a decent wine and cocktails list. Heads up: you order at the counter and the servers bring the food to your table when it's cooked. Not a big deal; just something to know. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!
food is amazing, the staff is not super energetic tho and they had no pastelitos which is a little disappointing. I think it is a bit pricey, as when I visit my family in Puerto Rico the food is much much cheaper for the same stuff, taste, etc. Spent $40 on 2 meals but in PR we probably would have spent like $15-$20 total however I do recognize that the ingredients are harder to come by here in MN and since there is no other local bodegas and panaderias there is little competition for prices. I definitely will be back tho
Awesome!!! Tasty food and good music in the afternoons!
Delicious! We’ll be back soon
The food was well prepared and very tasty. We were a party of 6 and had a variety of Cuban dishes on their patio. A live band was playing inside which added to the experience. Desserts were reasonably priced and the flan was excellent! We plan to return to try more menu items. I highly recommend Guavas!
This place is vibrant, full of life, and a brilliant addition to the restaurant scene. Music is LOUD, dancing and musicians performing may break out... but if you are up for some fun and tasty plates of good food served hot and fresh than look no further! Guava's swings it! Thx for a great evening!
