   Good food but bad dining experience in regards to service. Overall my partner and I enjoy this restaurant a lot but this experience just wasn’t the same. We placed reservations a week in advance and had planned for a nice evening out together. The first issue was when we were seated up in the event room at a table for two in the corner against a wall. The only table of 2 among tables of 6-10+ people. Even the waiter made a comment wondering why we were up in the event room. After my partner requested to be moved we were sat in the bar area. not even the restaurant area. It took 45 min from the time we walked in to get our first drink. Service was disappointing to say the least. While the food was good it was a lackluster experience.

   We started at the bar for a cocktail and loved this area. The drinks were creative and fresh. Bar tenders were super attentive and friendly. We moved to our table upstairs and had the most amazing waiter! We were greeted by our name and that was a very nice touch. The oysters were outstanding, best steak I have had in a long time, and my salad was amazing. Service and food were top notch!

   Our server Brandon was such a delight! He made great recommendations, was prompt & friendly. He even gave us out of towners some tips on hangouts. The food was divine! Every course was perfection. We had the dome tartare & the sashimi as appetizers & I could’ve eaten 3 plates of each as my full meal! The salmon & steak were to die for. Will definitely be visiting again 😊

   Met up with my best friend, we had a great time and really enjoyed the food. Our server Joseph was so nice, patient, and knowledgeable when it came to the menu! I will say though, I’m not too happy about valet scratching my car, but didn’t notice it until the morning after. However, that won’t stop me from returning to the restaurant very soon.

   Had a lovely dinner with friends on Friday the 13th. Every staff member, from the hostesses, to the bartender, to the waiter (shoutout to Lucas!) was amazing. Lucas was kind, professional, knowledgeable, passionate about the menu, and engaging. He made the meal that much better. The filet with brandy peppercorn sauce was perfectly cooked and the truffled mac, wagyu queso, and charcuterie board were top-notch. The craft cocktails were on point. I had the Vieux Carre... delicious. Loved the pace of the meal. Never felt rushed or that we wanted for a single thing. Can't wait to go back again.

    All the staff but especially our server were outstanding. The seasonal toast appetizer is always a great experience and they did not disappoint again. The blackened cod is just tremendous and glad to see it did not disappoint again. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Definitely need to preemptively close the shades at sunset--as a guest I should not have to ask for that just so my table can see each other. The room is stunning. Truly beautiful. Unfortunate that no dress code was enforced and we had to celebrate next to a table of men in ball caps, fishing shirts, and cargo shorts. The food was very good, but I am not sure it was quite as good as the prices suggested.($95 ribeye?) $22 half dozen oysters were the size of a DIME. The Wagyu steak was indeed cooked to perfection, the redfish was only "meh" --the ponchartrain sauce was mildly spicy but lacked the strong flavor that makes this sauce great, and yet it somehow also overpowered the fish altogether. The sides were hit or miss. Truffle mac was delicious, but because it is black truffle the overall color was essentially GREY--not super appealing. The chipotle lime potatoes were bland and tasted a little burnt. The cocktails were a highlight--Hibiscus margarita is a win and the current C.O.W. was tasty. The toffee cake should be skipped--it was dry and without large scoops of the caramel sauce it was mostly uninspiring. The Chocolate cherry cheesecake was actually a huge surprise for this cheesecake purist (plain, with a fruit coulee), but in this case, the cherry flavor was perfectly balanced with the chocolate flavor and the cheesecakey flavor--and the texture was (IMO) spot on (drier, denser, firmer rather than the creamy gloopy crap most places call cheesecake.) The cookies (which I believe were complimentary?) were a true star of the night. Warm, milk and white chocolate, with salt flakes on top. Perfection. My dining companions enjoyed their steaks -both with and without the house seasoning. Being forced to walk through the kitchen to visit the restroom is disconcerting, but not a deal breaker. Valet is the only reasonable option considering the location.

    Very beautiful restaurant I must say, but definitely the worst service we have ever experienced! I was served oysters with no spoon to or fork to dig it out! Later served steak with no fork! ! They white couple beside us definitely got a excellent service! The difference was clear!

    The place was beautiful, but the air conditioning was pumping and I am like never cold. The food was very good, but everything took super long to come out. Our server asked if we were in a hurry and we said no, but it was awkwardly long waits for each course. The server was friendly but got busy as the night went on and the service got worse. It was a very high bill, which they accidentally left off half the first time, and after we corrected them I was surprised we didn’t get anything off for saving them a ton of money.

    Wow! Fabulous Why did it take me so long to find this restaurant? Service is outstanding. Richard did a great job highlighting the menu and I wanted it all! The ambiance is stunning. Octopus 🐙 is my next order heading back Saturday. There is valet and it’s easy to find. Order a smoked Manhattan!

    The quality of food, service and wine selection is fantastic! If you are looking for a great place Downtown to impress clients and dinner dates, this is the place! Located right behind the Hyatt Regency Downtown Houston. Just be aware that the average cost of a great steak dinner, appetizer, sides with nice bottle of wine is ~$150/person w/o tip.

    Dined with friends at Guard and Grace. Service and food were excellent! It's a little pricey for a quick night out, but this was a special occasion and therefore a great value. We will return!

    The food was quite good. The service though friendly was a bit ragged. One of our side dishes came as we finishing our coffee. The place is very busy at lunch time during the week and they likely need to add staff and additional training will be needed. I would go back, but I would be a bit more conscious of reminding the wait staff what I expect.

    We had an amazing time! The food was incredible and the staff was amazing. We visited for my son's 15th birthday and they really helped make it such a special evening. He's an aspiring chef and they were so gracious to allow him to check out the kitchen and meet the kitchen staff. Thank for for an unforgettable experience.

    Date night out was fantastic! Thank you bartender Will for amazing drinks (as usual) and the service all around. Tried the Steak Flight - it was worth it! Must try is the yellow tail with Serrano and pop rocks!

    The place is extremely nice…great ambiance! The food…absolutely not. I was totally disappointed. The quality was good but the flavors are just not for me. The bar looks like it would be great for happy hour. The server was decent. I wouldn’t go back for the food.

    Food was nothing special. Over priced for what it was. Vietnamese salad overly spiced (and I like spice) and 3 nicely grilled shrimp (but an extra $15!). The complimentary cookie at the end was great. Service not good due to our waiter handling a very large party concurrently. Not his fault.. Location convenient for my downtown meeting.

    Start looking closer at your bill. There is a surcharge EAGS (have no idea what is stands for) base off your total charge. As explained by management it’s to subsidize the kitchen staff to balance what the waiters receive from tipping.

    Seems that we might’ve came on the wrong night. Very passive energy once we walked in with our complete party. Our server ended up leaving in the middle of the shift & no one knew the C.O.W and never told us. Ribeye was great but what restaurant doesn’t do birthday acknowledgement? No cake nothing. Had better hopes but will try again.

    Booked for Easter brunch and it was not a good experience at all. Restaurant was not overly busy as I would expect for a holiday wknd brunch. Food took forever to arrive. 6 oysters took almost an hour to receive. Our meal only came out after we complained to management. Once the food arrived it was cold. Manager was kind and tried to make it right by offering to take care of the bill. Just disappointing to have the holiday wknd dinner ruined. I would be cautious when dining here. Seems they have a lot of issues to work through. (On a bright note our server was good - not his fault with the kitchen issues)
