Guapo's of Georgetown
The Rincon family arrived in Virginia in the late 1970’s. All four children graduated from Fairfax County schools and universities and continued to invest in their community. They believed that their businesses should provide opportunity and pride to demonstrate the dedication to their hometown and the metropolitan area. Now their children continue the same aspirations as their grandparents did when they arrived over 30 years ago.
Chicken with green tomatillo sauce
Bean (Black or Refried) with ranchera sauce
Beef with red chili sauce
Great food and great great service! Outdoor seating was very nice too.
Wonderful time and great food. We thoroughly enjoyed it
Fajitas they were very bad the chicken felt raw
Enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, queso, and guacamole. But most especially, enjoyed the jalapeño margarita! Cheers.
It was a wonderful, fun experience and our server Keny was fantastic!
We were on vacation and wanted to sit on the water. It was a nice place and food was good. The service was a little slow , however it could have been due to Covid.
It was delightful and they staff was fantastic. Food was delicious and the desserts were wonderful.
The food was very good and the service people were very nice but we had to wait forever to get the food on the table.
Busy restaurant with hit or miss service — when the cheese and shrimp quesadillas arrived they were barely warm, the cheese was hard and the shrimp close to nonexistent. The chicken quesadillas were similarly disappointing. The drinks are less than average and taste watered down. On the other hand, my chef recommended dish was very good, tortilla chips are fresh and crisp and the salsa delicious. Great place to enjoy being near the water and people-watching but not a place for seriously great Tex-Mex cooking.
Delicious food and drinks, and our waitress was great.
Food was good but a little pricey. Place is in a beautiful spot.
Great food, great service, waiters and managers are awesome!
Great food, service, and atmosphere outside at Guapo's of Georgetown! We will be back!
I normally eat at the Guapo’s in Shirlington (Arlington, VA) and was hoping for the same good food and service for brunch this Sunday morning. I encountered the opposite. First, there was no brunch though it was advertised to start at 11 am (my reservation time). The staff appeared not to want to work, nothing but sour faces. And, when my food arrived, the burrito contained an unexpected ingredient: a plastic ring used to seal a milk container (aka kitchen trash). No apology was forthcoming, just a new burrito brought to the table a mere few seconds later… Truly disappointed!
We had a very time time here the drinks were really good, the food was very tasty. Very much enjoyed this place
Great service for brunch. Only downside, only one mimosas flavor option
the food was excellent and arrived promptly to our table. the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. had a beautiful view of the washington harbour fountains and great for people watching.
I’ve been to this restaurant twice and the service both times was not the best. Once we were seated it took about 10 mins just for the waitress to come and take our drink orders. During our stay she rarely checked to see if we needed anything. The food was pretty good but the service definitely needs some work.
The strawberry frozen margaritas are TO DIE FOR! The service was great and the food was good but I have had better Mexican.
Terrible host experience, fantastic server. Overall not worth the 30 extra minutes on top of my reservation and being forgotten about by the hostess and manager. Seemed Very unprofessional and not put together.
Katia is an absolute amazing waitress. Her energy and spirit is everything. Guapos always is a good time.
Happy Hour, Georgetown Waterfront, great energy, great food and drinks. New hangout spot.
The location is excellent. They were very busy. Hard to get attention of waiter and food served Cold
Normally this place is a great spot but this time I had such bad vibes. It was just me dining, I made a reservation. Arrived on time, hostess acted confused when I arrived like they were scrambling for a place to seat me, I asked to be sat outside, saw a clear table where they could’ve sat me and she proceeded to seat me inside. Who I assumed would be my waitress, dropped off some chips and salsa but was very rude. Barely wanted to speak when spoken too and just overall gave the vibe that I was bothering her. I ended up leaving and going to Bangkok Cafe nearby where I received excellent food and service. I guess guapos is a nice spot for a group but not solo diners.
Great food and drinks. Our Server was really nice and attentive. My family and I had a great time there with a beautiful view. Definitely coming back!
Amazing happy hour, service was great! Literally everything we tried was delicious. Super nice view of the waterfront without being on the main drag. 10/10 recommend.
Food wasn’t that good. Refried beans were watery .
food was very good but it was way, way, way too loud that it really took the enjoyment out of the evening. we had 4 people in our party and we could not hear each other talk. i asked if they could turn the music down a bit and they said not. the acoustics in the room are terrible and it was just very very noisy
Jacob was a fantastic server! The drinks and food were outstanding!!
Very good service and friendly people and delicious food.
Overall the 3 stars is because of some of the food quality. My wife’s and MIL’s meals were incredibly salty. They both had the shredded beef as part of their meals. My meal was good, but their experience far different than mine.
I had an amazing experience! Our waiter was amazing and the bottomless mimosas where delicious! Overall will be definitely going back food was delicious as well
My husband loved the baby back rib fajitas and I loved the pork carnitas burrito bowl. Yum!
The food and drinks were great. The happy hour specials were very cost-effective. I definitely plan to come back.
I had a better expectations from this place. Food wasn’t bad but the service was a little poor. Nice location!
One of my favorite places
Service was terrible and food was subpar. More of a Tex-Mex style restaurant.
Food and service were terrible. Margaritas and appetizers were awful. Did not stay for dinner. Overpriced due to waterfront.
