   We are regulars, but we brought friends from Virginia in over the weekend, and brought them for their first visit. Our friend said the rice reminded him of his grandmas and the food was amazing. Thank you for bringing this treasure to Juniata County.

   We enjoyed the authentic S. American food and the fun atmosphere. It was fresh, we’ll-prepared and tasty. The only negative is that they frequently seem to run out of menu items. This is a gem in a small town location.

   The food is made fresh and the flavors burst through. Our waitress took time to orient us to the menu, suggesting some favorites. Everything was delicious! We had kombucha for drinks, an appetizer, fish tacos and the steak dinner and our total for two was $40, very very reasonable I thought.

   Returned to El Guante for a 3rd time. Definitely worth the drive, especially if you love Central American food.

   I am only going to guess that the food was authentic as I've never had Salvadoran food in the past. The food was excellent and the portions were very good. No offer for anything other than water to drink was my only negative mark, but will remember to bring my own beverage next time. As the food is not well-known in Central PA, I would imagine that the menu could be upgraded/updated to include images of what is offered so that there is no surprise with the delivery of the food. I have already raved about the experience to friends and family and will be returning with my immediate family in the very near future. The food was excellent and I look forward to trying something else the next time we're in.

   Unexpected find on a Saturday night. Delicious and authentic food, and worth the drive. Will eat here again.

   We had a great meal. This is a hidden treasure. If you like Central American and Caribbean food, this is the place to go. Pupusas were tasty. Veggies are locally sourced from Village Acres Farm just down the road. Definitely worth the drive.

    We love this cute, clean, cheerful, family owned restaurant with awesome Latin food (better than any place at which we've eaten in the US - and my wife knows Latin food, she's Cuban). Staff is super friendly and service is absolutely wonderful. Don't be surprised to meet the owner, Ms. Diaz, a smart, caring and passionate young lady who welcomes and appreciates her customers, is passionate about her food, and is meticulous about the ingredients, preparation and quality. BYOB. Complimentary starter of homemade platanitos was a beautiful touch. Delicious! The pernil (roast pork) is tender and tasty. Love the yuca with onions (con mojo). Get the Papas Locas as an appetizer, fresh cut fries with picadillo, cheese and fresh tomatoes on top. Food is super fresh, not processed, locally sourced and beautifully made. Worth the drive from Harrisburg and State College. Have been here twice. What a find! We can't wait to return! :-)
