We will definitely be back! The food was great and so was the service. I loved the margaritas!
While the food was delicious (we had the Queso, Suizas and Pescado), the service was lacking. It appeared that there was not enough wait staff to handle the amount of patrons Wednesday night. We waited a long time for our drinks and then to order. Then once we ordered, we were told it might take a little longer because the large table next to us (about 10-12 people) had just placed their order. Glad we enjoyed our food so much, or we might have decided not to come back.
Had to keep asking for water. Despite the norm of keeping a wine bottle of water on the table, the waitress never provided a bottle for us to use. She’d bring one, fill up the empty glasses, then never bring s full one back. The food was seasoned poorly. One guest had a dietary restriction and requested something left off his meal; it was not done.
One of our favorites! Excellent service!!
Great food, And great service. They always make us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this place. It has a very fun atmosphere.
I made this reservation for mother's day, and when we arrived, the hostess said they were not actually seating any online reservations, even though I had a confirmation code. She had no tables for us. Except one in a corner. We asked about it. She said, "Oh, that's for a reservation." We said, "you just told us you weren't accepting any reservations." She hemmed and hawed. They ruined our mother's day by overbooking their restaurant. We had nowhere else to eat at 6 pm on mother's day, so we ended up eating leftovers at home.
Had been wanting to try this restaurant because others in this restaurant group were very good and reviews had been pretty good for this place. Arrived early for our 2:30 pm reservation; stood at hostess stand for at least 10 minutes before the hostess(?) came over. A server had come over to return menus but didn’t acknowledge me or others standing in the waiting area. Hostess said they had been really busy. Reservation was for a high top table which they did have 2 open but needed to be cleaned. She sat us at a reg table. Server was very friendly and made recommendations. It was cloudy out and the lights inside were not on except in bar area where they were on very low. It took forever for them to get our order out to us. We ordered the guac which was delicious. Also order chips and salsa. Those were good. When our food finally arrived more than 90 minutes after we arrived mine was room temperature at best. Taste was just ok. I had spicy chicken enchiladas. Rice was room temp. Wife had spicy chicken tacos. Those were just ok. Daughters had breakfast burrito and French toast. They really like those. For the money and the wait and just mediocre at best food, I’ll go elsewhere for Mexican. I can get better food, better service, and eat out 3 times as much for what I paid at Guaca Mole’s.
Mothers Day can be busy and seemed to take a very long time to get our food. Still I would return as the food is great.
I have been to Guaca Mole several times and have usually had an excellent experience. This time, however, was different. I made reservations for Mother’s Day weekend, knowing it would be busy. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time (1:00) and were told that we most likely wouldn’t be seated until 1:30 because they were so busy. I asked the hostess why the wait would be so long with reservations and she told me that they had been seating walk-ins ahead of reserved seating. I was appalled. I made reservations specifically because I knew the restaurant would be busy, but to get there ahead of time and be told that essentially I was being put on the same list as walk-ins I began to wonder what the point of making a reservation was. I decided to wait for a little bit and hoped the wait would be shorter than estimated by the hostess. About 10 minutes after I arrived and checked in, a gentleman walked up the stand and checked in for his reservation, which was also at 1:00. She told him the same thing she told us, and he also decided to wait. About 5 minutes later, he asked the hostess if he could speak to a manager, the manager came out, apologized to this man and proceeded to seat him in the bar area and offered him a free appetizer for the wait. I was infuriated-not only was my reservation at the same time, but I arrived and signed in before this man, was offered no bar seating option and definitely wasn’t offered an appetizer. I walked back up to the hostess station and asked where we were in the wait, she then told me that if a party of 4 came in they would seat them first. My group was a party of 5 and this restaurant only has a few tables that are set up for a party of 4-basically if we waited for one of the larger tables we would be waiting all day. We finally, after much arguing and frustration were seated at 1:45 pm, 45 minutes after our reservation time. Don’t take reservations if you cant seat people on time! Don’t know if I’ll return.
Extremely fresh taste and unique flavors that make this spot a top notch spot for Latin American food.
Guacamole is my favorite Mexican food restaurant- for nany reasons, but the Service is always very good and nothing on the menu has disappointed me.
Best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Terrific service. Attention to details. Fabulous vegetarian tamales.
Worth a road trip to eat here again. 👍👍👍
We are regular’s for a reason..they’re great on every level! If you haven’t been, go. We travel to Mexico often (Playa del Carmen and San Miguel de Allende). We know real Mexican food...Guaca Mole does too! Great service, great atmosphere, great drinks, great food, great prices...what more could you want?
Food was excellent and waiter staff very attentive!
Excellent food and service...would definitely come back!
Good drinks and food. Salsa is wonderful. Portions are large and filling. Good upper scale Mexican
Entrees were rich and heavy-not a problem for some people but not for me.
It was my husbands birthday
My friend and I had a wonderful meal. The service is always great and food delicious. We had the chips with 3 salsas, guacamole and split the vegetarian enchiladas. It was so good and plenty of food for two. We waddled to our cars after eating the yummy ice cream dessert. It’s one of my favorite places!
The food was great and so was the service. This was our first time eating at Guaca Mole it did not disappoint!
Guaca Mole is a slightly upscale Mexican Restaurant. The menu is a bit more varied than most, and the food is good. House-made salsas were unusual, and not to my taste. One of them was very sweet. My husband and I shared the Beef Tenderloin Tacos and they were delicious. Portion sizes are very large. The margaritas were delicious!
Delicious food and drinks.
We visited on Valentines Day. Our reservation was immediately honored and we were seated quickly. Packed house that night. Armando was our server and he was excellent- attentive and made delicious recommendations. Started w Yucateco guacamole and smoked fish taquitos, which were great starters. We had the pork enmoladas (special) and alcarbon burrito, then finished w the Mexican Chocolate Mousse. That dessert was also a special but they need to put it on their regular menu so I can order it every time I visit. Service was perfect. Everything was perfect!
Great service and our guest thought food was superior.
Our server was very inattentive to our table and generally seemed like she didn't want to be there. Other than that, food was great as always, though I was sad to see one of my favorite dishes was gone from the menu (scallops Verde).
Great service and food. Wonderful experience and I will definitely return.
Food is very good
Great Sangria. Go for the pitcher! Portions were a little light for the price.
Tacos were mediocre and did not live up to the hype. They won’t let you mix up the tacos, so you just get 3 I’ll the same. Cucumber margarita was the saving grace.
*I want to preface the review of our experience by noting we were told upon arrival by the hostess that the restaurant does not allow reservations, only call ahead seating. When I indicated the restaurant is on Open Table where patrons expect an honored reservation time, she shrugged and said "we hear it every day". The restaurant was not busy at our "reserved" time and we were seated immediately but I wanted to warn others who use Open Table for a guaranteed reservation at peak dining times.*
We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened a few years ago and it never disappoints. It's perfect for a casual date night or to bring our kids for a family meal out. The drinks are top notch - my husband's favorite is La Mera-Mera, their top shelf margarita and I am a big fan of their Caipirinha, which is simple and refreshing. We always start with chips and salsa, which includes a variety of 3 homemade salsas, each with their own unique flavor and spice level. Our go to entrees are the carnitas and vegetarian tamales and you can't go wrong with their ice cream dessert trio - the homemade banana ice cream is amazing! Service is attentive and friendly.
