GT Fish and Oyster Ratings and Reviews
We come for the oysters, fresh fish and the outstanding and attentive service (met us at the door with our coats when we were ready to leave even though I had lost the coat check number). Over time we have broadened our list of "favs" among both oysters and fish. This time we enjoyed both east and west coast oysters, saffron accented monkfish paella and succulent black bass. The paella included mussels and shrimp. The bass was accompanied with a sauce that delighted my dinner partner. Don't skip dessert! The dessert menu is even more enticing than our previous visit. We were there on one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants - Valentines Day. With this in mind, I would have over looked a glitch, but there were none. Everything ran flawlessly. We can't wait to get back!
First and foremost, the bartender was very accommodating and fixed multiple drinks for my fiancée when she did not like what she had ordered.
Second, when the hostess approached us at the bar when our table was ready, she excused herself for interrupting, something that is seldom done anymore; manners are important and should be acknowledged when used.
These two favorable experiences really set the tone for a lovely evening at GT Oyster and Fish. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Dinner at GT Fish & Oyster was outstanding! The Tuna Poke was delicious and authentic. It reminded me of home, and all of the poke choices there in Hawai'i. The clam chowder was another delectable delight and how it was served was fun. I tried the duck confit which was well seasoned. The key lime pie for dessert was another flavor bomb that burst onto the palate and left a smile lingering behind. Enjoy a meal there!
We’ve had a drink at the bar, but never ate at GT before. It was great—service excellent, food wonderful. We split an entree, vegetable and main, plenty for two. The restaurant gave us a generous taste of the bruschetta, which we’ll definitely order next time. Yes, there will be a next time soon.
Excellent experience. GT Prime is one of my favorite spots, so I decided to try the sister restaurant and Fish & Oyster didn't disappoint. I appreciate the restaurant accommodating an extra person added to my party at the last minute. Food was fantastic, cocktails were creative and tasty, and service was spot on. Will definitely return.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. And when I ordered something I didn't love, the staff was nice enough to replace without asking any questions. From our waiter being incredibly attentive, to even the host making sure we were comfortable, it was a great experience. I have been to this restaurant many times and will absolutely continue to go back.
We’ve been to gt fish on two occasions and enjoyed it. Unfortunately we decided to try it again for restaurant week and were greatly disappointed. The first course was ridiculously small. The next course was a salad with wilted lettuce. This is unacceptable. The main course was simply terrible. Dessert was delicious and service was decent however unlikely to return after this experience. For the price the meal should have been much better.
The food was creative where it all worked and was delicious. The seafood was fresh, the service was excellent. It was pricey but I loved my food and enjoyed myself. I was limited to to restaurant week menu because we wanted to try things. Worst dished were the dessert but meal was excellent
My wife loves gt fish and oyster but we were really disappointed this go round. We were very disappointed to find out that they did not offer their lunch menu for restaurant week over the weekend and only offered the brunch menu, which we thought was very sub par. The monkey bread was a joke and the chicken and waffle was not great at all...Very disappointed.
We went here for brunch. We ate off the restaurant week menu. To start we had a piece of bread to share for the table. That was the beginning of a not so good experience. The bread was literally not big enough to share, on a regular occasion most people wouldn't. The next course was mediocre at best, we had the clam chowder and grilled ceasar salad. My friend was not at all impressed with the salad and asked for the soup instead. For our next course, we got shrimp and grits. We didn't like them at all and when we asked to exchange them for something else we were met with a bad attitude by one of the managers on duty. While our waitress was nice and friendly and pretty accommodating, Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place and likely won't be going back.
Got the restaurant week menu and was really disappointed, every course in small portion and we could literally tell that they pay no attention on restaurant week menu. Service is outstanding but if looking for great value and fine dining experience during the two weeks, never go to this restaurant
GT Fish and Oyster was a pleasure, as always, from the deviled eggs to the fried oyster croutons, the tuna poke to the raw oysters. The wine list good certainly stand to be rangier, and my group didn't find the desert thrilling, but it was a thrill overall.
