Brought to you by Boka Restaurant Group, GT Fish & Oyster is an oyster bar and seafood-centric eatery named after chef/partner Giuseppe Tentori. The sharable menu contains both traditional items as well as many seasonal, original dishes created by Chef and his team. GT was named one of Travel and Leisure's Top 20 best seafood restaurants in America in 2013, and Chef Tentori was named Chef of the Year at both the Jean Banchet Awards and in Chicago Social Magazine in 2012. GT is open for lunch, brunch, and dinner, and in addition to its 90 dining seats, the restaurant contains a 20 seat bar where you can sit right across from all the shucking.

Our meal and the service were out of this world! Unfortunately though we were seated in the bar area where it was very cold and very loud. Not a place where we wanted to spend our first anniversary.

We come for the oysters, fresh fish and the outstanding and attentive service (met us at the door with our coats when we were ready to leave even though I had lost the coat check number). Over time we have broadened our list of "favs" among both oysters and fish. This time we enjoyed both east and west coast oysters, saffron accented monkfish paella and succulent black bass. The paella included mussels and shrimp. The bass was accompanied with a sauce that delighted my dinner partner. Don't skip dessert! The dessert menu is even more enticing than our previous visit. We were there on one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants - Valentines Day. With this in mind, I would have over looked a glitch, but there were none. Everything ran flawlessly. We can't wait to get back!

First and foremost, the bartender was very accommodating and fixed multiple drinks for my fiancée when she did not like what she had ordered.
Second, when the hostess approached us at the bar when our table was ready, she excused herself for interrupting, something that is seldom done anymore; manners are important and should be acknowledged when used.

These two favorable experiences really set the tone for a lovely evening at GT Oyster and Fish. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Lively atmosphere but quiet enough the group could hear one another. Great food, but smaller portions - order more to share!
