Grub Steak Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Just about every time we go to Park City, we visit the Grub Steak.....but our enthusiasm is starting to wane. We all ordered steaks and while they were good, they lacked flavor and spice. We prefer not to have to use steak sauce to dress it up. I decided to have some gravy with my mashed potatoes and was charged $2.50. When you are spending $40 already for a steak, it seems a bit much.
On the positive side, the salad bar is about the best you can get. It's also fun to see your steaks being cooked. On some nights there is live entertainment on a stage above the small bar and that also adds to the ambience.
Great place! The food is excellent at this restaurant. The salad bar is always fresh and replenished continually throughout the evening. The bread/butter is also very tasty. Prime rib is outstanding as are the loaded baked potato and creamed spinach. This is a great place for any size group, they can accommodate everyone. Bread pudding is killer!
I wasn't sure what to expect because the name might imply a low class steak house. We were pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food was excellent. My bone-in ribeye was excellent. I also enjoyed the creamed spinach. It has that familiar steak house menu with a bit of their own twist to it which I really appreciated. I enjoyed the trio of desserts as well with the creme brule and the bread pudding being my favorite. We ordered wine from the reserved list and enjoyed that as well. Service was attentive, ambiance nice with the western theme and live music. The place had plenty of room for our party of 12. Thanks for a great dinner Grub Steak!
It's very good we come here semi often. Atmosphere is on the casual side which I like sometimes... or it would kick it up a notch or two because the service and food are really good. We love the prime rib and the porterhouse steaks, even the chicken and meatloaf are really good here. Desserts are great and the salad bar is really nice with homemade bread. appetizers I'd skip on... save room and eat the chocolate cake, bread pudding, cheesecake or the creme brulee instead.
The food was good. Unfortunately, we were seated near a table with some obnoxious and loud people, but that is no fault of the restaurant. Our waitress, Nicole was a complete sweetheart and handled all her tables with such a delightfully positive attitude. It wasn’t that fake-trying-to-get-a-tip attitude, either. She was sincere and attentive. We’ve had a few bad experiences during our visit here in Park City in terms of service, but it was so refreshing to meet someone like her. Definitely helped redeem our entire trip.
This restaurant was fantastic. I am so glad I went by the previous reviewers comments. When a restaurant had a salad bar it could be like ruby Tuesday or high end. The salad bars were clean, fully stocked, and very appealing. The steaks were delicious as well as the prime rib. The kids menu was perfect. The server was attentive and helpful. Our water glasses were always refilled and the place was packed! Definitely a nice change from Main Street. We really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere.
Find this on google dining and yelp, saw this from the bus, what a nice steak place, love the prime rib, done as we requested, just right for my taste! The bone on the rib eye is also great fun for pictures, kids love it! Also love the elk, it's really super just right, hard to find a old restaurant so nice that keeps their spirit! Will visit again.
Cute little gem in Park City. We were looking for a great steakhouse to eat dinner with our family. It was very nice and had the mountain feel to it we were looking for being from Florida. The prime rib was delicious as was the ceasar salad. The service was great and everyone was very friendly!
Great restaurant, we went on New Year's Eve and it was incredibly busy and they were running late on reservations but the hostess was amazing she never lost her temper and smiled at everyone who kept asking her questions and they brought out chicken fingers to snack on. Prone rib and elk 5*!
Great food! Obviously the menu leans toward steak, but they have several other items that people loved. Two people in my party oordered the lamb, and they thought it was great. Much larger than any of the smaller restaurants on Main Street so this is a good option for anyone with a large party.
Grub steak is a great restaurant. It had survived for about 35 years in PRk City! That should say everything, I think it’s great that not much had changed. The quality of the food is outstanding and the ambiance is old school steak house. It’s one of my favorite places in Park City. The salad bar is outstanding and the quality of food is superb. The staff was outstanding.
