Waited a long time for someone to take our order.
Food was mid range.
We went on our anniversary and had a delicious dinner. We enjoyed the prime rib done to perfection’ waitress couldn’t have been nicer!
I had shrimp and grits and my husband grilled fish. I did not like my food and my husband said his was ok. Just ok.
Food good. Service was mediocre Server did not bring Sprite. It’s important to check back after food served
Second visit. Such a lovely place. Awful food. Ordered tuna blt. Tuna so overcooked. Half the tuna was not edible, fishy smell. The bread was supposed to be garlic toast. It was bland. French fries was cold and soggy. Avocado was fresh. Did not comment to staff. Not worth it as I will not return. My friend had a veggie wrap. Out of one piece she pulled out full red onion slightly cooked. Yuk.The only good thing was the nice young man who was our waiter. Oh, and my coke was flat!
Food and service excellent.
The Grove helped us celebrate my parents 50th anniversary and it was amazing! Server Ted is the best!!!
The Grove has become my “go to” place. Consistency with quality food. My Tuna was amazing..
I was very disappointed at the outside table we were seated at...it was in the overflow section of the patio...a noisy birthday party was next to us, the Lakewood Ranch Blvd road noise was loud...There were open tables for 4 available when we arrived for our reservation but the hostess refused to sit us at those open tables. Mostly I wad disappointed at the hostess response to me.
First time visiting. We appreciated the comfortable spaced out outside dining area and masked servers. The food was good and would have been better if the side dishes were not limp and lukewarm. Prices seemed a bit high for what was presented. Wine choices were limited and ridiculously marked up. There are better places to go in the area at this price point, but if you are COVID cautious, this is a good option.
We are sorry we missed the mark on the side dishes I will make sure to give this feedback to the kitchen. I am the sommelier on property and I was curious how we can better offer our wine selections? We currently offer 188 different wines by the bottle and 20 wines by the glass. We pride ourselves in having low mark-ups on our by the bottle selection especially in comparison to similar venues with a wine list as large as ours. Best, Austin
Everything was great! My sister and I got the prime rib on Friday night (which they only have on Friday and Saturday) and it was the best tasting prime rib I’ve ever had. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter because he was super nice and very attentive.
Everything was good except they served me a fried fish sandwich instead of grilled and because I’m gluten free I could not eat it. Took quite a while to get my meal and everyone else was done by that time. Not a big deal, FYI.
Very friendly staff. Good service and food. Not rushed, good ambience. Upbeat and fun.
Good get together place for happy hour and food
Food was good as usual and Jazz provided wonderful service and was attentive to our needs.
My husbands 75th birthday
It was ok, not great, we were seated next to a servers resource station and it was heavily used. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and there were multiple other choices where we could have been seated
Alex took good care of us, and the food was decent. I would only add that you just need to back off on the music. It’s serving absolutely no purpose, except to cause people to talk over it. When you have that, along with traffic passing by, you’re not helping yourself with the ambiance. One would hope a restaurant manager could figure that out?
One of our go to places
The service was not what I’ve come to expect at The Grove. The server failed to check on the table for drink refills so I went to the bar and had them refilled myself. The main meals took more then 35 minutes from the time the appetizers arrived with no explanations from the server because he was nowhere to be found.
My order was wrong. It took way too long to get it, and even then it wasn’t right. You really need to turn down the music. All that it’s doing is causing people to talk over it. Why can’t restaurant managers get that?!?!
We went to the Grove for Sunday Brunch and overall the food was disappointing this time round. The hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict was overpoweringly rich and the spice sprinkled on the poached eggs was too strong and detracted from the flavor rather than enhancing it. The accompanying potatoes were somewhat hard and lacked flavor. My wife's smoked salmon omelette had almost no smoked salmon and was almost exclusively cream cheese and onions. I think the mimosas were overpriced at $8 per glass as well.
We had breakfast and it was good. Its hard to make too much of a fuss about breakfast so I don't have a lot to say other than the service was good and the food was as expected.
Restaurant busy but service was good as food came out quickly.
Service is good. Food is average. Calamari were good, the rest so-so. Pasta overcooked, and everything SO salty. We spent half of the night drinking water.
Overall, not terrible, but nothing to rave about.
Excellent food - flavorful. served hot with a good presentation. Ate outside under the canopy which is great for dining with friends in a relaxed and safe setting. Highly recommend.
The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was attentive, but we did not feel rushed. We really got to enjoy the beautiful day outdoors and lunch with my friends.
Our first time eating here. Lunch was very well done. We had grilled salmon with asparagus and risotto with peas, and the seafood Cobb salad. Both were delicious, followed by key lime pie which we shared. Delilah was very nice and excellent with her service. Definitely a "place to return to" in our files.
I am sorry to have to give this review. This is the third and last time I will go to the Grove. I have never been happy with the food and this is not an inexpensive restaurant. Yesterday, the fish portion of my meal was not fresh. I wasn't thrilled about the salad either.
This is the 3rd lunch date I’ve had at the Grove since coming out of covid isolation. we’ve been very pleased with the service and food...excellent taste and presentation. The chicken vegetable and clam chowders are delicious, grouper sandwich very nicely done, crab parfait delicious (al beit pricey). We were celebrating a birthday, and the server brought a slice of ice cream cake (with candle) that was so delicious! After a rough 1st experience, when this restaurant 1 st opened (most of the items on the menu were not available), this is our new go to neighborhood favorite.
$ people All orderd different things All loved the food
Skirt steak needed more seasoning. I had to add salt. Otherwise the food was plentiful and tasty.
A little disappointed in the condition of the restroom. Needs more attention for such a nice restaurant.
We have eaten often at the restaurant but have never been told about the dining reward program. We found out tonight through another diner. A little disappointed we have not been a part of it until now.
Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant.
Overall we always enjoy eating here.
Perfectly fine, felt like an upscale diner
I made a reservation for 4 of us to get together for brunch on a Sunday, another friend was added, which was not a problem when we were seated at the original seating for 4. The problem was that we were ignored by the waitstaff for over 15 minutes, despite my asking another waiter to let someone know. After another 5 minutes, I went to the host and let her know. We were given a WONDERFUL server, who stepped in and did a great job. We were seated outside, and there were several empty tables near us, so it did not appear that any of the waitstaff was under pressure or had too many tables. I enjoy the Grove, and will return, but other than our particular server, I give them 2 stars for service; it was abundantly clear that we were being ignored.
Food was lackluster in portion size and options for a real brunch menu
We had a great dinner with great service. I highly recommend for all occasions.
Exceyservice and great food. Highly recommend the Pork Osso Bucco. It’s delicious!
Great restaurant.\, love the large patio seating during these crazy times. Even during a torrential downpour we were able to enjoy our meal on the covered patio. Staff very helpful and friendly.
