Always have an amazing experience here, our server took really great care of us for the entire evening. Cannot recommend more highly.
The service team was terrific, as was the food. Suggest they ask how diners want there steak cooked. It was pricey.
I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about what to order. The 3 meal course is perfect. I love the steak and the desserts a lot.
There's plenty to worry about these days. We're glad to be able to take one thing off your plate--and replace with three courses :). Hope to be able to welcome you back again.
We enjoyed our server but unfortunately service for beverages was very slow. We prefer to enjoy our drinks with maybe an appetizer, in this case the delicious bread/cheese but the drinks never arrived. The salad was served before we got our drinks. Not the way it should be. The same happened with coffee, it should arrive before dessert, but alas it did not. We appreciated the heaters and basically all was good. We would return when the menu appeals.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We apologize for the pacing of beverage service and we agree that is not the way it should be and have addressed with the team. Hopefully we can entice you back with one of our future menus, and we will be sure to make it right the next time. BTW, we are moving indoors into our expansive open atrium with Grove Winter Garden starting November 4th.
Food and service were too notch
The 3 pasta set menu was fantastic along with our very helpful friendly server, an experience I will do again
Thank you! We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
We dined on Wed pasta meal. Started with antipastpo platter it was delightful with a glass of bubbly. The pasta was fantastic with 3 different variations. No charge for corkage on first wine bottle. The pleasant ending dessert was refreshing after a heavier pasta meal. Outdoor seating was lovely and very good playlist and music sound just right. Definitely we will be back!!!
Thank you for the lovely feedback. So pleased that you enjoyed our Concerto di Pasta and the outdoor garden. I wanted to let you know that we will be recreating the outdoor garden inside our expansive atrium--lots of open space and high ceiling for safe indoor dining. So join us for Grove Winter Garden and it will kick off with what else--Concerto di Pasta on Wednesday November 4. (And, we promise same great playlist :)
Great food, setting, and service. The flavors captured genuine Italian dining, the ingredients were high quality, and we enjoyed the slow, no-rush pace of the meal. We hope to return again soon for the next special occasion.
Thank you for this feedback. So pleased you were able to enjoy a leisurely meal with us. But you don't need to wait for a special occasion to come back. :)
Wednesday night is always pasta night. Three different pastas each week. The pastas are not only excellent, the portions are large and you will probably end up taking some home.
It is also "free corkage" night.
We plan to be a Wednesday night regular.
We look forward to welcoming you back as a Wednesday night regular. I wanted to let you know that with the cooler weather, we are bringing Grove indoor in our expansive open atrium, starting on Wednesday, November 4. Same menu with our Winter Garden Supper, weekend brunch, and of course, Wednesday Concerto di Pasta.
Went for brunch and the outdoor setting was beautiful. We ordered eggs Benedict and French toast, as part of the prix fixe menu, and cherry scones and bacon on the side. The prix fixe menu included a very nice fruit salad with yogurt and granola sprinkled on top. The fruit salad came out first and was super fresh and delicious. Before we were even halfway through with the fruit salad, someone brought out the bacon - all by itself. Then someone else brought out our main dishes - before we had finished with the fruit salad. Because the table was so small, there was nowhere to put the fruit salad plates. So we asked them to take them away. When we had almost finished our main dishes, we realized that we had never received our cherry scones. We asked our server and she apologized and brought them out a few minutes later - after we completed our meal. The cherry scones were delicious - probably the best part of the meal! We gobbled them up, along with the remaining fruit salad. When we received our bill, we found out we had been charged for four bellinis that the people at the table next to us had. It took forever to get it sorted out, so we asked to speak with the manager. He was nice and gave us his card in case there was an issue getting the credit back for the four bellinis on our credit card. I looked at my credit card balance today and it looks like I will be giving him a call because the higher charge has not been corrected yet!
My recommendation to the staff would be 1) to not rush the dishes to the table (let me finish my fruit salad before you bring out my main meal, 2) clear old dishes away from the table so there is someplace to put the new dishes (we had to ask several times for them to take away our dirty dishes), and 3) make sure the bill you give to guest is correct (the one mistake of overcharging us for the four bellinis held us up, as well as the other table that actually had the bellinis and was undercharged.)
Hi. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We're pleased that you enjoyed the food overall, but disappointed about your service issues and billing error. We apologize for the inconvenience and will make sure this doesn't happen again.
It was amazing- food, service, ambience and check out the wine flights. Totally worth it because you can get a flight of some expensive bottles of wine for a fraction of the cost via the flight option. It was just a great experience and we will be back!! And tell all our friends too!!!
We had the prix fixe meal. It was really beautiful. We also ordered the broiled oysters as an add-on. Very good.
The food was very good, but not pretentious. The duck was cooked perfectly, the rice was great. All it needed was more veggies and it would have been perfect.
The desert was fabulous!
Perfect day and place for a yummy brunch!
It was amazing!
Portions were really small. Service was almost nonexistent. Food tasted really good. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect
Fantastic ambiance! Felt very safely distanced from others with impeccable service.
What a pleasant surprise this experience was! The atmosphere outside is perfect! The plates served are sharable. Would definitely recommend and return.
The food was absolutely amazing! Hands down the best meal my husband and I have ever had. They are extremely accommodating for Celiac Disease and have the most friendly staff! They went above and beyond at every turn. Definitely will be back!
Love that it is on the campus of COPIA surrounded by the garden!!! Got to walk through. Able to eat my salad in peace. During dinner, bees keep swarming over my dish and around me. Eeek! Packed it to go and also got my dessert boxed! Staff was apologetic and offered me alternative seating. No thank you, I’m done!!!
We're so sorry that the bees cut your dinner short. We're glad though that you got to enjoy the beautiful garden for a bit. Next time--and we hope there will be one--we'd be happy to seat you comfortably indoors.
Went there for a covid-era brunch. Food and service were great and eating was a very comfortable experience, as covid precautions were adhered to. Great family meal.
We sat outside quite a distance from everyone in the farm/garden area. Weather was perfect and truly a lovely environment. Staff was attentive enough we never felt deserted. Brunch was excellent. The fresh fruit in the fruit bowl was particularly outstanding as the fruit came from their garden and everything tasted so fresh, sweet and just perfect. The scones were rich and yummy. Chicken and waffles were delicious though 2 people could have shared one since we ordered too many sides so ended up taking chicken home which was still wonderful for dinner.
Everything was great.
I have been to The CIA at Copia a number of times. My experience has always been very good. However, this time they dropped the ball. The add-on mussels were wonderful, but the celery salad and the chicken main course, left a lot to be desired. Neither had much flavor, and proven to be a real downer. While the pricing is a great deal higher than most other good restaurants, the value of this meal was very low. While I may return, it will be a while before I do so.......at least, not until they get their act together again.
Hi. Thank you for your loyal patronage and for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're disappointed to hear about your experience on this visit and hae shared this feedback with Chef and the team. Please do let us know when you plan to return so we can be sure to make it right.
We had the most enjoyable meal in the grove at Copia this past Sunday. The meal was incredible and our server on her first night did such a wonderful job! Such a great spot for fresh, quality food in a beautiful garden setting. We will be back!
The Culinary Institute of America continues to set the bar for dining, especially outdoor dining during the pandemic. The Colavita Grove and culinary garden at Copia is the ideal setting to enjoy the best of Napa food and wine.
Great food. Ambiance was nice! Highly recommend!
The lamb chops were delicious! As was the chocolate dessert.
Ate here for brunch and the food was very good. Do not pass on the jalapeño biscuits! It is amazing!
The garden at the Grove is a great place for brunch. The tables are far apart and although the menu is limited, the Chilaquiles Verde and the eggs benedict were very good.
So glad you enjoyed. Please visit us again soon!
We went here for Brunch - beautiful environment and setting but the food was just OK. We got the burger and the chilaquiles - wouldn't recommend them for the prices we paid.
Thank you for the feedback. We're disappointed the food was not to your liking. Our menu changes frequently, so please do let us know if you decide to give us another chance, and we'll be sure to make it right.
Staff was outstanding- fresh organic food , must try chicken waffle from brunch menu. Nice outdoor garden sitting. Recommend
Thank you for the lovely note. PS. Those chicken and waffles go quick!
Our food was great & the environment
Casual, perfect food and service. Recently enjoyed a prix fixe dinner and it was truly perfect. Dining in the garden, service is excellent, special cocktail was a delicious margarita and wine flight was wonderful and the best deal.
Thank you for taking the time to write us. We're so pleased you had a great experience, and we look forward to hosting you again soon!
Everything about the Grove at the CIA was wonderful. The food was some of best be ever eaten and the environment was gorgeous.
So pleased to hear everything was to your liking. Please come back soon.
I put in the notes this is for my mother’s birthday. Not a single time did anyone mention anything from the staff. Your staff handed us a stack of plates instead of setting them. I’m not a trained chef but there was nothing special with your set menu. I’ve never had such horrible service in my life. We only spent 30 minutes there because of how horrible the service was. I definitely will not return to this place. Outside temp water instead of ice water. The cafe at Greystone is by far a much better place. I’ve already put my review on Yelp and will copy and paste onto Google. This establishment sucks.
Went for brunch on Saturday. Very disappointed that they didn't have chicken and waffles. Host noted when we were seated that that dish tends to run out fast. Hmmm...then why don't they make more? Poor management is the only explanation I could come up with. The patio was very pleasant, as was the wait staff. The music playing, however, was at times very unpleasant - like a bad cocktail lounge soundtrack. Chilaquiles, French toast, yogurt and fruit were all good, but not outstanding. Honestly, with all the options in Napa, we felt like we could have eaten just as well for less $$ elsewhere.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We apologize for running out of chicken and waffles. Since we make everything fresh, we try to plan our demand as best we can, but there's always room for improvement. Just as there is with music choice. We are in the process of migrating our music provider.
No you! :)
We are lucky to be able to dine outside in a beautiful place where the staff is so pleasant and professional with a focus on safety/health in these covid days. It's expensive but worth the bigger picture and we want to support COPIA and our community. Go out and have fun there!
Thank you so much for your support! We looking forward to hosting you again.
The setting was beautiful in the Grove, food was amazing and service was perfect!
Evening dinner was very nice. We had the price fix dinner for 2. The salad was very flavorful, the romaine was crisp. The roasted chicken on a bed of spinach and mashed potatoes was so tender and juicy. The grasshopper pie finished the meal beautifully. Wonderful flavors, beautiful setting.
