Great birthday dinner and wonderful service from the whole team there.
The food/service/ambiance was great! The only thing that was misleading was the OpenTable reservation that stated complementary valet parking for Spa and Hotel guests. We ended up having to pay $12 since we were only there for 1.5 hrs.
I've been here a few times in the past year and every time I've noticed improvements with the food and service.
Drinks are always amazing here and the food is great.
Overall not impressed. It took a really long time to get our food, which we thought was strange since it was brunch and nothing should have been complicated plus it was not busy at all. When the food came out, the Steak and Eggs Benedict was underwhelming, overcooked poached eggs and steak. The serving was not worth the price in our opinion. The other food we ordered was decent serving sizes and cooked ok apart from more overcooked eggs. When you order brunch, cooking eggs to the proper temp is very important, no?
The saving grace was the cocktails which were quite delicious and very unique.
Drinks and atmosphere good, food is average. Poke bowl tasted fishy (not the good way) and I couldn’t finish it
We came just for a fun evening out. The Service was Outstanding! Most of the Food was good but we ordered a Cesar Salad and the Lettuce was aged and Brown as well as not Crisp... the Cesar Salad Dressing did not taste correct or was very bland. Other than that no Complaints.
Went for brunch. Ordered eggs Benedict. Eggs were hard and muffin was chewy and soggy. Kids pancakes were dense. Not good overall.
Drinks were fantastic, and the food was surpisingingly pretty good as well. I wish they had a dessert menu, and the steak was a little undercooked. Overall would come here again!
Drinks were good! Miss the guacamole on the menu!
Great food but Restaurant understaffed for Sunday Brunch. Refills on coffee took about 30 min in between
We were very disappointed with the food and service today. The red fish entree we ordered was burned to a crisp on the bottom and inedible. We ordered a side of asparagus with that entree and received three spears… it was actually insulting. Also, the asparagus came out cold.
The ahi tuna starter was also sub par. It was practically drowning in the saltiest sauce that dominated the entire dish. The service was kind of a joke. Our waitress couldn’t answer any questions about the menu items (such as what type of lettuce does this salad come with?). Her initial answer was wrong, by the way (she went to confirm with the chef).
Unfortunate that the food and service disappointed because the atmosphere is nice. However, we won’t be returning.
I absolutely loved this place. The view was beautiful, the music was amazing but not disrupting. I however did not enjoy our server. I have worked in the service industry years ago and I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt but I felt like we were a burden to our server and felt quite out of place. I felt like asking him for things was a huge inconvenience while I watched him chat it up with other guests. We waited nearly 30 minutes for him to run our card and eventually had to ask the manager to do it (who was an absolute doll). If I wanted mediocre service there are countless other places I could have gone and paid far less than $13/mimosa. Other than that hiccup I would say the rest of the experience was wonderful. I had an omelet, the crab deviled eggs and my partner had the chicken and waffles and they were OUTSTANDING. I do really wish we had a better experience with our server but other than that I do see myself frequenting here more often.
Music was tad too loud, getting in the way of having a conversation.
Delicious Mediterranean Flatbread
Over priced cocktails
Was great overall
I had stated we were celebrating a birthday of someone who was visiting from out of town and nothing was mentioned about it while we were there so that was a little disappointing. Other than that everything was great!!
Our waitress was awful. Normally I’m not one to bag on people for bad service because I definitely understand that you have off days but she was so unhelpful, very rude, never asked if we were doing well or if we were ready to order stuff. The rooftop is amazing the food was pretty good but if the service is always like that it definitely isn’t worth it. The only good thing I can really say is the rooftop is a pretty view of austin and the inside has a bunch of cool art/pictures.
Have a nice relax dinner with a view
Food was average
big shoutout to Hayley, she provided excellent service!
In the past month I’ve eaten here twice for breakfast, had a mini-cocktail “hour” in the evening, and as of this last occasion, had dinner. A+ breakfast taco first time , okay breakfast buffet on my second visit, frustrating bar experience the night I went in for a cocktail (seemed short-staffed), and then on this dinner visit, I had a very disappointing burger. I ordered it medium, and it was only a shade away from being a hockey puck. It took forever to be acknowledged upon being seated, and I was rarely checked on (at all the above meals, actually). I would have sent my food back at dinner, but at a certain point you may as well just eat it. It also took probably 10-15 minutes to get my check long after I’d finished eating. Service has been an issue on every visit. No one is outright rude - just negligent. (In fact, once I have their attention, they are very nice.) Please have staff check on people more frequently! A lot of us are hotel guests with places to go! The food situation at dinner was probably fixable, but no one ever asked or gave me the opportunity to say anything. It bears mentioning that the atmosphere is great, as is the view outside. If you aren’t in a hurry it’s a pretty cool place for a leisurely meal. Just... maybe not the burger.
Fun crowd. Great service.
Service was slow and could tell they were overwhelmed. Food was good but nothing that i would rush back for. Went for anniversary dinner and it was not acknowledged (don’t know if they do anything)
Terrible/slow service on a rooftop pool Bar. They are still getting organized in post COVID times. Will go back in a couple of months
Food was under seasoned and service was very slow.
The worst service I have ever had. The host that sat us was not welcoming at all which I just brushed off. We then sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting for anyone to acknowledge us. We were finally greeted by our waitress and she took our drink and appetizer order and I quickly got over the long wait to be served. We got one of our appetizers fairly quickly but waited another 10 minutes to get our drinks and then had to remind the waitress of the second appetizer. She brought it sometime later with a third appetizer and said it was on the house which I was pleased with thinking she had realized that she had made a mistake and was not doing a quality job of serving us. Boy was I wrong. We then went forever without any sort of service. We came there for dinner but we’re never given the chance to put in entrees. We got there at 7 and by almost 9 o’clock we were still struggling to get our third drink. The waitress meanwhile was taking shots with her friends in one of the cabanas every 15 minutes. I could go on and on. I am a very reasonable person but this by far the most disrespected I’ve ever felt. I will not be back.
We were celebrating a pre-graduation dinner, what a great place! Love the ZaZa vibe!
The service was delayed until we asked for water, we then placed our order At the same time. I was not a fan of the blue crab deviled eggs, and the refill of drinks was ignored until again we asked. I understand staffing is hard during these times. Loved the elegance of Hotel ZaZa and the restaurant.
The place was really nice however the price of the food and the taste doesn’t match the quality.
Great place!! I hope they expand the menu! Very nice service however very slow to get food.
Such a beautiful date night spot!
It was great!
service was terrible. Expected much more. Ambiance was dope, food was solid, but it was the lack of service for me that will never have me go back.
Carl, our waiter, was great. There was a small string band in the background and the food and drinks were delicious. Definitely will be going back!
Wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch with my wife. Everything we had was outstanding but I really recommend the pancakes as the texture, taste and fluffiness were the best we’ve had in years. Very good portion sizes. And everything came out at just the right temperature.
Had to send undercooked eggs back (like egg whites were runny), but they gladly took it back without fuss and brought out a replacement (which was delicious). The food was excellent, as were their cocktails.
It was hard getting the attention of the waitstaff, but they were very attentive when they did make contact.
I wouldn't be upset if I had to eat here again.
Great food service and view. Would definitely go back.
Was staying at the ZaZa hotel and did not feel like going out. It was an enjoyable experience with friendly and attentive staff and a good selection of food. The deviled eggs with crab is a must eat.
This was a really bad experience in Austin. We’ve mostly had great experiences. But this one was awful. Our service was awful- slow, everything took forever, our drinks and food took way too long to get to us..we were the only ones inside the restaurant. We wanted to sit outside and were told we couldn’t. It was freezing inside. All around really awful Austin dining experience at a place that’s supposed to be fun to enjoy.
We had a delicious meal by the pool! The fried chicken was awesome and my sister loved her steak. Great service too!
