Grotto - The Woodlands
Book your next event with us
Slow start to service- it just seemed like the server assigned to our section was nowhere to be found and no one else wanted to pick up the table. We asked a server if he knew who was supposed to be helping us and he immediately took our drink order and took charge of the table. Floor manager came over to apologize and the rest of the night was a success. Jeremy- ask for him. He was incredible. Food was delicious, drinks were spot on (order the grapefruit martini) and our combo birthday/father's day celebration ended at a 10/10. Slow start but they made it right and it was incredible. We will be back!
Excellent food and excellent service , will definitely be back.
Too Noisy at dinner. Hard to converse over the din! Go for lunch. Its much quieter.
Awesome place. Will definitely be back again in near future
Great service and fantastic food.
It was Prom night so it was busy and probably a little louder than normal. The food was good. I had the Snapper, she had a salad. Service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable and witty. They pushed that damned desert cart by us at least a dozen times. We couldn’t do it tho. Ha!!
Our waiter was excellent, and the food was better. We had the Branzino, and the ravioli...I recommend both highly
Food was nice. Service was questionable. Had to always wait on our server. There was hardly anyone in the dining room and the staff was just hanging out and not paying any attention,
excellent and very genuine service. Every time! So nice to dine or just visit the bar especially when they have music during week.
Best Tomato Basil soup of my life. Amazing dinner.
The food and service was very good but the noise level was louder than usual
Service was slow, server looked sick, side item was very small portion. Very delicious food though.
Casey, our waiter, was excellent. Food terrific. Lovely setting! It was a wonderful Mother’s Day choice! We loved it💕
My mother and brother enjoyed their meal. My Carbonara was awful probably ate 1/4 and waiter didn't even bother to ask if I wanted to go box.
The pasta dish we paid $25 for consisted of undercooked linguine , few empty shells and 1 shrimp.
We will stuck with our usual choice- Perry’s. Never had a bad meal there even at the busiest times
When you say no tomatoes in your salad and no tomatoes on your snapper, it's clear that listening to the customer was not a priority. Upon informing the waiter, it was an affront. I gave a tip anyway.
If someone has a food allergy and requests the omission of an item, I hope this doesn't occur again.
The food was great minus the before-mentioned.
That key lime pie tho...
I want to start by clarifying that food and the service provided by our server was very good, unfortunately the whole experience was overshadowed towards the end when one of the Managers (I believe he was, was a tall thin gentlemen) who asked us if we could "move" because they had another reservation for a party of 6 and they needed the table. First of all, we did a reservation as well stating we were celebrating Mother's day, we were also a party of 6, we are Landry's members, and I told the guy that my wife was just finishing her coffee and we are almost done, then he insisted to move us to another table and provide a complimentary coffee. All that was unnecessary as there were 2 other tables that could accommodate two parties of 6, and could accommodate the new party to the same table he was offering us.
We truly felt we were treated like a number and not as a customer/guest by this gentlemen, and thanks to him the rest of the night turned out to be a bitter sweet one as my wife was extremely disappointed and uncomfortable after having such a great meal and service by our server.
On my personal experience working in a 5 Star 5 Diamond Resort (St.Regis Resort, Dana Point, CA) I recommend a better training on how to manage the restaurant's occupancy and customer service when under pressure, and a corrective action.
We went on a Tuesday evening and the weather was bad, but the food more than made up for it! Our server was excellent, recommended the calamari (also great), and both my partner and I really enjoyed our meal and dessert. I would definitely go back when I'm in the Woodlands again!
Food was good but the portions keep getting smaller. Service was excellent
We had a lovely dinner experience. We had a four year old with us and they were very accommodating. Very kid friendly. Food was amazing. I had the peppered Tuna with the white wine sangria. Definitely will be back for a return visit. There’s is more entrees I’d like to try.
I really enjoyed the restaurant! It was my first time going. If you make a reservation online for lunch or dinner you will get a specific menu and will get appetizer, entree and dessert! Really worth it!
Food was OK. Service was mediocre. Atmosphere not inviting. OK but would not go back.
We did not realize it was prom night somewhere and they were very busy. However in spite of a packed restaurant we received the same great service and food.
Loved the food. Great happy hour menu. Desserts need some work.
Very tasty food and good service, a little bit crowded but nice.
We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our 18 year dating anniversary. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The food was delicious!
Great food, great service. Always love going, never disappointed!
atmosphere and food is always good. Service is VERY good and we are always seated right away.
Great server. Great food
Good place to eat before going to a concert. Sangria wasn’t that good but meal was delicious.
Ate here on Good Friday after church with our family, and it was delicious!
We love Grotto! It’s one of my families favorites but we are often there with high school kids on date nights heading to school dances. The food is delicious and the service is great. We come fairly often because it’s one of our favorites.
Fabulous food and service!!!! We felt very welcomed.
Looked all over The Woodlands area for really crispy thin pizza crust...this is the place! Happy Hour buffet is awesome. We watched a birthday party buffet and the guests were having a great time and the food looked fantastic. Looks like a really good place for a lively birthday party or special event.
Went for a Birthday and all went well.
First visit everything was nice just a little loud and it was early dinner. Will be back!!😊
We arrived for our reservation and was immediately seated, but we were seated at a table where there was not a server assigned to it. We waited for awhile before I asked the hostess about receiving menus and do we have a server. They apologized and sent a server over to us straight on. From that point on we were taken care of. Every one was very efficient and pleasant. I would definitely recommend Grotto to all my friends and family.
My go to for special family events! Never get a bad meal here!
It was my daughter’s birthday and the waiter brought her a slice of cake with candles!
Eric was great and didn't rush us through our courses. We enjoyed the food and ambiance before our concert time at Cynthia Woods.
