Amazing good and kind service. Only thing was when we looked it up for an option it came up as $$ and in my opinion should be rated as $$$ at a minimum
The atmosphere is good but the noise level in the atrium is excessive for intimate dining. The food was the best I have had there and this is my third visit. The waitstaff was very courteous and prompt and attentive.
Though the food was pretty good the service was not. We waited almost 10-15 minutes to even be acknowledged once we were seated. We ordered our appetizer (shrimp cocktail) and the entrees at the same time. It took at least 20 minutes to get our appetizer. Our server was not very friendly and always seemed to be in a hurry. Probably won’t be going there again.
Perfect place for my dads 70th birthday dinner
Wonderful restaurant! A little noisy but good value for your money. I live in Vegas and was quite surprised with the food and the different choices. You will not leave hungry, but you won't be stuffed either. The Golden Nugget is a great place to walk around and they offer many good restaurants to choose from. You can't go wrong with the Grotto!
I love this restaurant. It has a great view and I love everything about this place.
Grotto was such a great experience we dined here 4 times in 3 days. The ambiance was perfect, great menu selection, and terrific value. Robert was an excellent server. I wish I had room for desserts after the entrees..
Lunch was good. Ate there twice and had the same waiter. Food was fast and great and he waiter was funny.
Food portions used to be somewhat larger, now they are considerably smaller for the price paid for the entrées
The food was (eventually) very good, but our dining experience was ruined by our waiter Santos. We waited a little while after being seated, but he came and took our order for drinks and appetizers, which were brought out fairly promptly by kitchen staff. We then waited ALMOST AN HOUR for Santos to come back and take our dinner order. At one point I waved him down and told him we were ready to order, and he nodded and then still took over 20 minutes to come back and take our order. Then he eventually brought the check, but never in between did he ask how everything was, if we needed another drink, refill our water, etc. This is supposedly an upscale restaurant, but I've had better service at Denny's.
The food was very good the service was good it was quite noisy though. We had a very good dinner with several courses and the bill was very reasonable. The strawberry angel food cake specialty dessert was delicious
The portions were very small. The veal was very tough. The prices way to high. Did not give me my 100 points for open-table. The only thing good was the service. The waiter very pleasant and split soup in two bowls. Would not recommend or ever go back.
Dinner was ok, my husbands salmon was so so. My pasta was very good. Staff was wonderful, very attentive. The noise level was loud it was difficult to talk in the restaurant. I guess we were hoping for more.
I was looking for a nice spot to eat some great Italian food and ended up reserving a table here. One of the best decisions I’ve made. The food was great and Jose was amazing ! He took care of us and made sure we got everything we needed. It happened to be a birthday night and he gave us a selection of all the desserts and cakes and made sure it was on house, which was above and beyond. The drinks and pasta here are a must. The plates of food are not huge but they do the job as they’re an adequate size and come packed with a great taste.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Grotto. We both had pasta dishes which were very good. The restaurant was lovely inside. My favorite part was their signature drink the peach Bellini. My only improvement would be to put more balsamic on the caprese salad. Overall it was a great dining experience.
If you don’t mind the smell of smoke then I would highly recommend this restaurant but if smoke bothers you I wouldn’t bother.
My husband and I ordered LaSagna. We are of Italian ancestry and have never had a tasteless LaSagna.
Your dish didn't resemble La Sagna at all. We were completely disappointed. Another member of our
party said that his meal was mediocre. The waitress was the best part of the evening. We will not return to your restaurant. Sorry.
Good food. Exeptional service from Jordan. Well done!
Waited 40 mins for a salad & pizza my drink was empty forb20 mins before we LEFT.
A table of about 20 arrived after us and had appetites & salad before we where even served !!!!!
First, the Golden Nugget is beautiful! The Grotto is inside the hotel and has a nice menu. One side of the restaurant is very dark, so we were happy to be seated near the pool window and a little more light. Service was excellent, but the food is just 3 star. My chicken dish was just OK and my side past was cold. The menu needs to be updated to add a few new items.
Good lunch today. Started with the lobster bisque, followed by the lasagna. Both tasty. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass. Service was superior.
We had a Delicious Italian meal at the Grotto! My chicken dish was one of my absolute favorites that I've had in a very long time. Service was Great and price a Great value for the quality of the food. Will definitely return next time in Las Vegas!
Exceptional, well-priced Italian food. Get the mussels with cream sauce.
Adequate lunch today. Caesar salad was good. Pizza was nondescript. It had a very thin crust, which I'm okay with, but rather plain tasting. Pepperoni was razor thin and plain tasting. Tiramisu was alright, though unremarkable. Setting and ambiance are wide-open. Service was friendly and good.
We have a very nice dinner with a great waitress who provided excellent service. The restaurant is in the middle of the casino so it can get a little noisy but overall we really enjoyed our dining experience.
My server had an instant attitude because I was dining alone and the greeter put me at a six seater table. Fair enough he might be irritated but not my fault. He’s comes over all grumpy, looking over angrily at the greeter and once took my drink order literally threw the menu down on the side and walked off. Extremely unprofessional.
The food cane v quickly. But all of it was like warm. The bread basket you get when you sit down had undercooked doughy bread. I ordered mussels to start and chicken Alfredo for the main. Both tasted ok but niether was hot. And they came out so fast it was clear they were just trying to get rid of me ASAP.
Overall an unpleasant experience with mediocre food. The greeter was very nice, but the heavy set older gentlemen who served me ruined the whole meal with his awful attitude. And it was my last night at the golden nugget so it really put a dampener on things.
We shared stuffed mushrooms and the meatball as an appetizer, chopped salad and pork tenderloin with a red wine reduction. I ordered a Pina Colada and she had Red Sangria. 100% the mushrooms were the star of the meal! Amazing flavor, texture and temperature. The meatball was 6/10 it wasn’t very warm and the taste was average. Chopped salad was wonderful, very sharp vinaigrette and small cubes of mozzarella. Overall the entree was good but could of been better. The pork was tasty but dry thank goodness for the reduction which was the best part of entree. The mashed potatoes needed more cream, they were very dense, flavor was good though. Nothing special about the asparagus. The Pina Colada was not on the menu and you could tell who ever made it probably didn’t know how. Too much alcohol and hardly any flavor. She enjoyed her Sangria. The meal cost around $90, a little high but expected.
The Grotto is a must visit whenever we are in Las Vegas. We regularly visit the night before returning home. The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is outstanding.
There are multiple individuals with walking assistance devices in our group, the staff always gets us a table that is easy for them to get to. They treat us like family.
If you like veal, their veal picatta & veal marsala are both wonderful.
Good was not authentic Italian .
Lobster bisque was way too fishy . Spaghetti Bolognese tased like spicy sausage and way too much pepper ,not authentic at all . Spaghetti vongole were rubbery . Not recommended .
Since it is an italian place I think it would be much better if the music that was playing were italian not U.S. top 40 from 1980 - 2000's
Mixed alcoholic beverages were not good. One of us ordered a mojito which tasted of only alcohol and mint...it seemed to be missing a few ingredients. Sent that back and ordered a margarita...just not good. The ambiance was so-so because it was so loud. The restaurant is open on most sides to crowded, noisy walkways near the front desk and to the casino. Some sort of noise barriers would make the experience much more enjoyable. Last, while our waiter was very pleasant, he was not around a lot...he could have been more attentive. Food was good and reasonably priced. We would go back, but now know not tonirder mixed adult beverages, and not to expect attentive service.
Good food. Very smokey casino, more than normal
Food and service are always great ... we visit every trip to Vegas
The food is amazing! The service was great. You must save room for the chocolate cheese cake.
We had a great dining experience with our friends. Food was great, desert was amazing. We arrived on time and seated right away. Would recommend definitely
Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Disappointed in the server, he was not very friendly and got serval if the drink orders incorrect.
We were in Vegas on vacation and wanted to try a new restaurant we had not been to before. We loved the food. The Caesar salad was one of the best I have ever had. The dressing was light and lemony. Chicken parmigiana was flavorful and the bolognase was very good with a bit of heat (spice) to it. Will definitely go back.
We had a great table for people watching, which we thoroughly enjoyed! Our waiter was outstanding -- personable, attentive, and responsive to our needs. The food was excellent! Everything hit the spot!
We go to Vegas 3 times a year and I always have to go eat here. The bread is so yummy and the pasta so fresh! I just love it. Never disappointed and the price is unbelievable for the amount and quality of food. I enjoyed the spaghetti carbonara this evening.
Service was great, how ever the food was mediocre at best. We had two different entrees that were very bland and tasteless.
