Wow -- so good. The ambiance is not memorable, but the food is amazing. Also, don't be put off by the bland descriptions on the menu -- Chef Will Artley adds layers of flavor to each dish, often times with a pop of heat or extra flavor right at the end of the bite. And the presentation of each dish is so beautiful and visually appealing and creative. Five stars!!

We were in DC on vacation and looking for a last minute place to take the family other than quick serve places. Grist Mill was within walking distance, got right in, food and service was great.

Unbelievable little gem of a restaurant inside the Hilton garden inn of all places. Incredibly good and VERY reasonably priced food. I had the shrimp n grits as well as scallop appetizer special and this chef knows how to cook. Bravo!

The restaurant would not honor our reservation. It was the eve of the women's march and they were packed. We hurried across town to have dinner, pleased we had made a reservation. Only to be turned away at the door. Poor planning. To make it worse, I couldn't book another restaurant via OT because grist hadn't removed us from system - so showed I had res at same time. Infuriating.

Very convenient location across from Register Desk. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We had dinner, breakfasts and room service. Dinner was a one person margarita pizza which was tasty. At breakfast you could order fresh omelettes to order and also fresh waffles. Both dishes were very yummy. The buffet is small, however, it is complete and gives one a nice start to their day. The big plus for room service is it was fast, accurate and good.
