Grindstone Public House
Perfection in all areas of this dining experience. Can't wait to return!
This has quickly become one of our favorite places. The staff is exceptional! Friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help in any way - especially in making beer, wine, whiskey and food recommendations. They always go above and beyond in service. Oh, and the food is excellent, too!
First time there. Brunch was wonderful, from the traditional Bloody Mary to the French toast and pulled pork Benedict, all was scrumptious! We will definitely visit again and recommend to our friends.
I’ve been to this venue under several names over the years. On street parking with lots nearby. My date and I both had pasta dishes which were good. Very attentive service but the noise level made it difficult to talk.
Parking can always be an issue with a restaurant that is downtown. They were not extremely busy, had our choice between a table in the bar and a booth, which we took (the booth). Waitstaff was there pretty quickly, asked if we wanted any appetizers. My soup came out pretty quickly (french onion). Was good, but could have actually had a few less onions and a bit more broth. Also would have been escalated had the put in a splash of cognac at the end! I ordered fish and chips, was a huge filet. Very good. Husband had 10oz prime rib and baked potato. Stated potato was warm but not hot, as was the meat. Had to ask for horseradish, which wasn't hot at all. Water served was in a bottle, cool but not cold and no ice served in a glass. As I was only drinking water, a larger glass would have been nice. I didn't ask for one. Will probably go back, but more for lunch and not an evening meal.
The reason we picked this place was because they accept reservations. The reason we’ll go back is due to the food, service and overall great dining experience. We had 6 in our party and Everyone was impressed. We can’t wait to go back! Great find!
Can't go wrong with this place. Nice variety and excellent service.
Great menu options for everyone! Bring a jacket because it gets chilly in the restaurant
The food and the staff are really good, but the noise level is terrible. You really cannot carry on a conversation it is so loud.
Worse seat in the house. Middle of room next to kitchen and bathrooms. Little room to move! Ask to change tables..several empty but waiter said she thought they were reserved! Didn't ask anyone! We also reserved a table! Waiters carrying out trays of food right over my wife's head. Large corner table was empty was given to two people. No ice for water.
Jerk chicken was awesome! Good draft beer selection.
Very good menu variety and food was delicious. Server didn’t offer any type of beverage when he 1st came to table ... odd. Otherwise they were so efficient that they loss drink money on us... salads and dinner came out very fast. 1 drink dinner for us. Didn’t offer dessert either... not that we wanted it. It was an excellent dinner... less than hour we were in and out. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Good place to have a beer and a burger. Nothing to write home about.
Enjoyed a nice meal at Grindstone! Best part was our server. He was very nice and a hard worker. Food was pretty good. Went on Tuesday night which was half price bottle wine night!
Great dining experience. We will go back!
We have enjoyed a few dinners at Grindstone and each time it has been a really good experience. The fish, salmon salad, sliders and crab dip are delicious!!!
Food was good and service was great!
We had a very nice evening..
It was slow as the parking was all blocked off due to the paving on 10th street scheduled for the holiday weekend.
We had their famous Grindstone tenderloins, and they were great as always...
This time they did not come with the usual bun...
The bun looked to be a kiddie bun, and appeared crushed, but grilled .. and like it was for a childs burger..
That was confusing..
But thought less bread was a good thing..
Micheal's french fries had mostly slid off of the plate, somewhere between the kitchen and our table on delivery, as the order was not a full order, and one of the fries was on my plate... We requested the fries be replaced that were missing, and the manager who took our request forgot us...
We inquired again and the fries came, after we were finished, with an appology, and a card for a free appetizer on our next visit.. It wasn't busy, and the manager was mortified that he forgot... He said it was not like him to forget...
There was something funny with the quality of the fries. Like the oil wasn't hot enough, as they were not crisp.. Or maybe had sat to long in the pan, after they were cooked....
Even with the errors, we still had a good time...
Loved the high top, window seats.. I think those are my favorite tables in the restaurant...
It would be nice if they decorated with window boxes and flowers outside on the sidewalk on the East and Northside of the windows....
This was our second time at Grindstone Public House and it was great. The food was fantastic for everybody. Service was great. Really it’s not bad priced for the quality. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in the area.
Fried Green Tomatoes, Prime Rib, a Reuben and a Hamburger for my daughter. This was a fantastic experience great food great service and good atmosphere. We will be back.
It is always an amazing time at grindstone s public House. The food is great. I had shrimp n grits on Father's day with my son. Blew me away. His breakfast burrito was huge n guite tasty he said. We always go back.😁
This was our first time eating here, and we will definitely be back. It was Father’s Day so I booked a table for brunch on Open Table. We were greeted and seated right when we walked in. The food was awesome and the portions were just right. We all ate breakfast/brunch items and everyone loved their food.
Grindstone Public House is a welcome addition to Noblesville. We have visited a handful of times and all the food we selected was tasty and at a reasonable price. My 92-year old mother has said “Let’s go to the restaurant on the corner” and “This is my now favorite restaurant.”
So many good menu items. We really like the salads with the zucchini bread.
They have a very nice brunch menu. The food and service were great.
Food was fantastic. The atmosphere is really nice as well. We will be back!
Still working out a few front of house kinks but it was great food and a great atmosphere. Cocktail program could use some work.
Great food, great service, great place to be with friends!!
I would recommend due to the food was excellent. The service from the time you walked in to leaving was horrible. Hostess wanted us to walk over spilled water and when we refused and waited for them to wipe it up~ she left us to seat yourselves. Took over 20 minutes to get menus and additional twenty to get drinks. Food, we ordered steaks, was great. As we left there were two girls at the door and either one said a word. Would recommend only if not in a hurry. And don’t mind subpar service. We’ll go back butnot for along time.
Went for my Birthday on Saturday night. Table was ready promptly at 7pm with reservation for four. Got fried green tomatoes, everyone really liked them, got the crab dip, had two or three bites and didn't enjoy it. Chips were not that good and salty and something didn't taste great with the dip so informed the waitress we didn't like it and she took it away, but still charged for it. Ceaser salad was good, dressing on side which means it wasn't soggy when it came out. Had the prime rib, cooked to order and mashed potatoes were decent, have had better and worse so no complaints. Service was iffy to start, waited way to long after sitting before waitress came for water/drink order. Felt nobody really checked in during meal. Third time here, nothing to write home about, but expected for downtown noblesville.
Our first visit. A variety of reasonably priced meals. Large portions, good value, Dining room is a bit small, but good seating in bar as well. Very good wait staff. Good beer specials, including crafts. We enjoyed a good celebratory birthday dinner.
Lively crowd. Our server was awesome. Service was efficient, but not rushed. Great food. Will be back.
Love Love Love this place. Service was excellent, Food was delicious, Loved the experience of tasting the different brews in the flight of beers and the flight of whiskey. I am happy I made a reservation. Grindstone Public House is very busy...Which is a testament to the outstanding service, food & Drinks
Good food. Food was a little slow getting out for lunch but was worth the wait.
This was our first time visiting Grindstone Public House and it was Mother's Day. So that being said, we had a reservation which we were 5 mins late for. We had to wait for 10 mins before being seated eventhough we could see empty tables in the main dining area, upstairs and next to the bar. Of course we were seated at the table right in front of the entrance to the kitchen ... I hate that but evidently there were no other options? Anyway, the service was very slow. The food was ok ... nothing stellar (all four in our party agreed). I think what bothered me the most was that the 'manager' who was at the front when we entered was seated with his family at a booth while we were eating and didn't appear to be concerned about the slow service and didn't check with the patrons to see if everything was going well. I don't think we'll be going back.
We always enjoy Grindstone. But, Our meal this time was put of this world. Our server was fun, and professional
Filer was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Baby Back ribs were fall off the bone amazing! And, Ohhh the chocolate cake!!!
been here 3 times and every time was great. we will be going back for a 4th.
We had a fantastic experience at Grindstone Public House! The food and service was great! We are so happy to have this gem in Noblesville.
Love this place. We always make reservations. The steaks are great!!
