Grindstone Public House
Our first visit. A variety of reasonably priced meals. Large portions, good value, Dining room is a bit small, but good seating in bar as well. Very good wait staff. Good beer specials, including crafts. We enjoyed a good celebratory birthday dinner.
Lively crowd. Our server was awesome. Service was efficient, but not rushed. Great food. Will be back.
Love Love Love this place. Service was excellent, Food was delicious, Loved the experience of tasting the different brews in the flight of beers and the flight of whiskey. I am happy I made a reservation. Grindstone Public House is very busy...Which is a testament to the outstanding service, food & Drinks
This was our first time visiting Grindstone Public House and it was Mother's Day. So that being said, we had a reservation which we were 5 mins late for. We had to wait for 10 mins before being seated eventhough we could see empty tables in the main dining area, upstairs and next to the bar. Of course we were seated at the table right in front of the entrance to the kitchen ... I hate that but evidently there were no other options? Anyway, the service was very slow. The food was ok ... nothing stellar (all four in our party agreed). I think what bothered me the most was that the 'manager' who was at the front when we entered was seated with his family at a booth while we were eating and didn't appear to be concerned about the slow service and didn't check with the patrons to see if everything was going well. I don't think we'll be going back.
We always enjoy Grindstone. But, Our meal this time was put of this world. Our server was fun, and professional
Filer was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Baby Back ribs were fall off the bone amazing! And, Ohhh the chocolate cake!!!
been here 3 times and every time was great. we will be going back for a 4th.
We had a fantastic experience at Grindstone Public House! The food and service was great! We are so happy to have this gem in Noblesville.
Love this place. We always make reservations. The steaks are great!!
Menu has many choices and good value....easy for Vegan in the party to find something to eat by asking for a menu item to be prepared without some items...great experience and will be back!
Took the kids out to eat at Grindstone for the second time - the kids meals are very good and plenty of food. I have steak with blue cheese, and husband had chicken Park. Split a bottle of wine - and had sugar cream pie for drssert. Great service - even considering there were several large groups there tonight (prom).
Wow, what a great a great find. I knew this place changed hands a while back. The newer owners have upgraded the inside and have given Noblesville a great new restaurant. I had the chicken waffles, an excellent choice. Can't wait to go back and try some more items
We had a great Easter brunch. Service and food were outstanding. We will be back!
Easter Brunch was our first visit to Grindstone and we will definitely be returning soon!
Always a good meal, and good service. Always greeted with smiling faces too.
The decor was awesome, but we had a hard time hearing each other because the music was loud. They were very busy, so our service was very slow. We waited about 30 minutes before our order was placed, and when you have a five and three-year-old, that makes for a restless dinner.
The ambiance of this restaurant is great and they've done a really good job at making this a unique place to dine. The crab dip is amazing but the two main courses I've had were average. The service was good but both of my dining experiences have been in large groups and we were seated in very noisy spots with a lot of foot traffic. Next time I may request a table on the upper level as that section was empty during both visits.
First time at this restaurant, and was greatly surprised. The service and food was outstanding!! The menu provides a great variety. Will start coming here on a regular basis.
We sat in the bar for Sunday brunch. Just a small criticism, the chairs by the tall tables are difficult to move in the space available. Ordered a Blood Mary and a Mimosa, both were on special. The Bloody Mary was fine, but it appeared they used less than premium OJ in the Mimosa. We had chicken and waffles, and corned beef hash. Both were very good and we would definitely order again. The service was timely but not obtrusive.
Food was delicious as always. It was very busy but service was good.
Food was below average brunch fair. Descriptions in menu did not match actual food served. Service was slow and not very attentive.
Excellent cocktails. Excellent cuban sandwich and fish tacos. Was a little louder than expected but final 4 on so maybe should have expected it. Will definitely come back.
We recently dined at the Grindstone Public House during the week. The staff was attentive and paced our dinner at a relaxed rate, which we made clear was our desire. The menu is typical American fare and offers a wide enough selection for most diners. The wine list is less extensive, but it offers a varied selection of moderately priced wines by the glass and/or bottle.
Our food was well prepared. Our desserts were tasty, but following the trend in Indiana, way too large.
I recommend this established without hesitation.
I love that downtown Noblesville has yet another great place to eat. The interior of Grindstone is cool, the service is great, and the food is fabulous. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the fish tacos . . . with a craft beer!
Nicely remodeled historic building. Food was excellent. The waiter claimed they had the best tenderloin in Hamilton Co. He was 100% correct! Also, had the fried green tomatoes and they were excellent as well. Huge portions, great food, laid back casual atmosphere. Great bar area.
Maybe.Nice variety of food. Atmosphere is excellent, the building is beautiful. Our waitress was good. However, one of our entrees did not come out until 10 minutes after the others. We asked for a manager, he said they had to make sure it was cooked? It was just a chicken sandwich. He said he would comp it but when the bill came, he had not. We paid for it. We we were over it and did not want to make a scene. Not sure if we will go back.
Ambience on the upper floor is lacking but still a great meal
Reservations are necessary on Saturday night, so I'm glad we made one. My food was tasty. My husband's steak was undercooked and they didn't offer to cook another one correctly for him, which amazed me for the price. They did give us a free piece of cake. Service was a bit slow at times but professional. Overall, I will go back at lunch with a girlfriend and try other items that looked good. My husband won't go back.
First time coming here and I was very pleased with the overall experience. Having a reservation at 7PM on a Friday was a smart choice, and we were seated immediately soon arrival. The staff and food were great, but it was very loud and hard to hear our group, other than that, no complaints. Definitely reccommend this place.
Amazing as always! Great breaded tenderloin!
The staff was really great. The drinks horrible. The restaurant was much louder than expected. The food was pretty good but because of overall experience, won’t be returning.
We went for a birthday supper at Grindstone Public House. We were completely satisfied with the entire experience. Food was great as was the service and ambiance. We will definitely return.
It's always good. Service is always great. Had the biscuits n gravy today which was good. Not exactly.shrimp n grits or meatloaf great but still a.good food experience overall.
Very nice experience. Great food, especially the ribs. A little noisy.
New spot in downtown Noblesville - interesting menu, good food, great service. The BIG downside is that there is no parking. None. Zip. Only random spots on the street. Although there is a large bank lot adjacent, restaurant patrons are not allowed to park there. Not sure we’ll be there anytime soon considering the blocks long hike from any spot you might find open. Big turn-off.
This was our second visit, kith 2 other couples. We were seated immediately, in a spot where we were close enough to carry on a conversation. The only time it was loud was the singing of happy birthday to another table. Not a problem! Our drink were taken right away, and we had time to peruse the menu before ordering. Our waitress answered questions we had, and checked in on us occasionally (just the right amount) food was devious, we all had something different, and no complaints! Will definitely return!
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly, I believe her name was Sam. The food was delicious and the 4 of us enjoyed everything we ordered.
My friend drove almost 4 hours and requested we go to this restaurant, because she loves the pork tenderloin.
Awesome service and food! Love the recognition of the local farms and suppliers they do business with.
Overall a good experience.
great food. very accomadating. i thought the wine by the glass was pretty expensive ($14).
there was a large party down the midde of the restaurant and it was kinda cramped. hard to get in and out of our booth. also i know it was saturday night and it was full of people, but it was very noisy and it
was hard to hear people in my group talking.
