GRIND Kitchen + Watering Hole
They’ve never prepared my hamburger well done. It always comes medium.
Just ok. Had the fried chicken with champagne. Although the chicken was fine, tender and juicy, the champagne was abysmal and was poured from an old, open bottle. Pretty skanky. Was underwhelmed. The duck appetizer was excellent if you like duck. Overall, Not good enough to warrant the prices.
Chicken very good. Corn beef hash had no gravy. Eggs Benedict had no ham. Bloody Mary’s very good for $15 for bottomless
Great fried chicken. Loved the 1/2 price wine on Wednesday too;.
Our waitress was exceptional, she shared what her favorites were. We tried them and they were all good.
The french toast stix are exceptional.
Really friendly staff!
Great food and service
Really loved the experience. Our server seemed overwhelmed and wasn’t attentive. The other servers and chef stepped up to ensure we were taken care of. The duck confit and kale Caesar salad were our faves!
Pancakes are huge (and delicious). Everyone enjoyed their breakfast /brunch choices. Service was friendly and attentive. Only gave 4 stars since it seems to take extraordinarily long to actually get our food.
My wife and two adult sons were ambivalent about dining at Grind - weren't sure what to expect. However, base upon the positive ratings, we decided to give it a go. Thank goodness we did. All the food was excellent and the chicken was out of this world. All four of us absolutely loved it and there is no question we will go back.
Food was good. Service was scattered. Was about 5 other tables and the kitchen was “slammed”. Had to ask for a second round of drinks. Flag the server down for the check.
We enjoyed our brunch, but the portions seemed small (with the exception of the potatoes) for the price. The salad seems light on ingredients other than lettuce and the sandwich needed fries or a salad. The food was good, nice atmosphere and good service.
Great service as usually!!
Great service from Josh, our waiter. Food took too long (30 minutes) on a pretty straightforward order, but otherwise ambiance and experience was good.
Fried food with the friendliest service is always a winning combination. GRIND Kitchen+Watering Hole is fantastic. I'll certainly be returning.
Lovey patio, great food and our dogs were given ample amounts of water and pets.
Do NOT go here- especially for brunch. This was the top 3 worst experiences at a restaurant ever. We had a reservation and were seated immediately (12:30pm on a Sunday)...It took 30 minutes to menus and forced drink orders, 42 minutes to get food orders. By the time our order was taken, half of the restaurant had cleared out. Drinks came sparingly after tracking down servers over the 2 HOURS we waited for our food. One person in our party had to actually cancel their order after 1.5 hrs due to an Appt. Waitress was seen hanging on the patio and actively avoiding our table. We were eventually passed to another server. I tried calling for the manager so as to not make a scene in front of our out of town guest... but no one picked up and Voicemail was full.
Food was good, service was terrible. Won’t return.
We were amazed by the food! The chicken and champagne pairing was unexpectedly excellent. The fried chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese, and even the fries were great as well. We sat on the garden side patio, it was so beautiful and peaceful. The service was good, however, we noticed our server seemed to be busy, the beverages and food did take a while. He might have been the only one taking orders at the time, which is understandable on a Sunday night. Regardless, we will be back for more!
The fried chicken and service was excellent. However the fried pickles were not great. Regardless I will return.
Feels like the kind of place where you need to pick your spots; took a long time to get our food (over 45 minutes). Luckily the bottomless bloodys helped pass the time. Then the table that came in after us got a complimentary cin bun - when we were there longer and actually ordered one...they come to us and say they are now out of cin buns - and gave us a complimentary french toast sticks instead. Latter point is a bit petty - point is that the kitchen was pretty backed up, but once we got our food, we liked it.
Terrific waiter! He was super sweet and lots of fun. The food was terrific. My only compliant is the menu needs more fresh and healthy options, so everyone can choose a favorite item. Deviled eggs were fabulous.
The watermelon arugula salad was great and the fried chicken was incredible. We sat outside on the patio, it was very pleasant.
The Honey Butter Chicken did not disappoint, delicious. A great little brunch spot in Cherry Creek.
All of the food was tasty and the bartender was friendly and helpful.
The service was sensational, the food incredible (hello fried chicken and champagne, and the Mac n cheese), and they were incredibly accommodating for a large group! We had girls night and loved every bite!
We went to Grind on a Friday night, after checking out the menu on-line. That menu had some interesting dishes listed.
When we got to the restaurant and were given our menus, the options were significantly more limited than the menu we had previously viewed on-line.
We ordered the fried chicken, which friends had told us was very good. We also ordered a side dish of cheese and grits. When our meal arrived, the chicken had a nice crispy crust, but lacked much seasoning and was very bland. The cheese and grits were pretty good.
Based on the Open Table reviews we read before going, maybe some of the other menu choices are better than the chicken we had, but I am sad to say, we found our meal to be nothing special.
The fried chicken was wonderful but the menu overall seemed a little pricey for what was being offersd
The service was great, so I don’t want to take away from that. But it is very expensive and the food was nothing special. There are a lot of fried items on the menu, and the flavor was nothing great. I ordered a baby kale Caesar salad. It had both Caesar dressing and balsamic vinegar?!? It tasted terrible, those 2 things should not be on the same plate. I was bummed, I really wanted to like this place.
This place is my favorite! Can not wait to go back!
Grind Kitchen has a wonderful assortment of plates that were absolutely delicious. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The wait staff seemed a bit slow as drinks took a long time to come out from the bar. The ambiance was quaint but modern and very flexible. I recommend going to GRIND for some outstanding fried chicken and cheesy grits.
The food took over an hour to get there, they did acknowledge it after about 40 minutes and offered us a free app and comped one of our meals. However when my food arrived it was cold. Obviously something was going on, but I think that could of been communicated better up front and it didn’t leave a good impression on me.
My girlfriend and I had a lovely brunch at Grind. We visited with the owner and our food and service was outstanding. We will be back!
Love this little spot! They do half priced bottles of wine on Wednesday which is what brought us in but then we ordered the fried chicken with a side of mac & cheese and there were absolutely no regrets. This is some of the best mac & cheese I've ever had! Fried chicken was pretty delicious too. Would recommend.
Really great fried chicken
Had brunch with some friends. Food was good, but not better than some of our favorite brunch spots. Service was good.
Brought the family and it was great
GRIND is fine, but not remarkable. We ate at 7PM on a Saturday night and repeatedly heard the wait staff apologize for not having different beer on the beer/wine list (on a Saturday at the beginning of the rush?) The fried pickles have way too much batter. The fried chicken was so-so and the grits were liquid. The wait staff was slow and disorganized. All in all this place has not found its groove. Nothing special and we would have been just as satisfied at Chipotle or Smash Burger. If you're hungry and walking by--go on in and eat. I wouldn't bother making a "plan" to eat at GRIND.
It wasn’t clear when we reserved on open table that between 3 & 6 on Sunday there was a limited Happy Hour menu. But the food was delicious and there was plenty to eat. I think going for lunch or dinner would have been more enjoyable for us. Service was attentive and it wasn’t crowded or noisy. Cocktails were tasty and there was a great beer list.
Easter brunch. No special menu or buffet - which is my preferred Eater brunch. We were able to secure a patio space. I really enjoyed the corn beef hash which had large pieces of corned beef, potatoes, Swiss, and mushrooms. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I had a massive ala cart pancake that was perfect. Too much food in a good way! My wife loved the standard eggs, potatoes, sausage. My son devoured the breakfast burrito and said it was amazing and my daughter had the chicken biscuit. All was perfectly prepared with a southern flair. My Bloody Mary was ok - not amazing but the coffee was rich and smooth. All in all - we’ll be coming back! Great food and cool atmosphere.
