Grills Steakhouse is a unique steakhouse tucked away just outside the town of Pontypridd next door to one of the oldest pubs in Pontypridd. Grills Steakhouse prides its self on producing simply good quality steaks and burgers.
The menu varies from the traditional Sirloin, Ribeye and Fillet, to some tempting burgers, to a 60oz Ultimate Steak Challenge , 60oz Monster Mixed Grill Challenge and the undefeated 102oz Burger Challenge (Food challenges need to be booked in advance).

First visit to this steakhouse. Our first impression was the lack of atmosphere more of a cafe than a restaurant. We arrived 30 mins before our table was booked with the view of having a drink before eating only to be told that our food would be a while as there was already food on the grill which was ok as we weren't expecting to eat straight away but put a slight question in our minds as most of the tables were empty. The temperature in there was cold and when we asked if the heating was on we're told that there's a radiator behind the wall. Our waitress couldn't tell us what was in the mixed grill nor the surf and turf and had to go into the kitchen to find out. The steak in the mixed grill was fatty and inedible unable to chew through it, although the chicken, gammon and pork were decent. We complained about the steak and were offered soft drinks as an apology which we declined. Due to the temperature in the "restaurant" being low we ate our food and left not a place to relax and enjoy a steak. Would not recommend as a place to go for a romantic meal.

We opened the front door to be met by the beautiful smell of beef cooking, then the the lovely smile of the young lady that met us. The food and evening were good. The bill reasonableand the service excellent.

We always come here it's such good value for money and the portions are always huge! as there were 5 of us and most of us ordering burgers which was over 100oz of meat we understood that our food may take a little while to be cooked, the male waiter politely informed us that it could be around 30 mins wait and offered us free garlic bread & onion rings, the food came out in no time too! Food is always spot on and the sweet potatoe fries are to die for! Highly recommended to anyone accept vegans !

This place is small and full of character, from the friendly service to the walls decorated with the monster eating challenges. If you lke your steaks and burgers this is the place for you.

Came here as a party of 4 on a Saturday night after hearing good reviews from friends but we were very disappointed. The waitress did not know her menu or how to provide even moderately good service. The response to"what's in the ultra shake" was "it's a milkshake". When we asked if the onion rings were beer battered and home made, we were told they were, however we received a bowl of breaded onion (puree) rings, which were admittedly well cooked. Three of our orders were wrong and we were bored of waiting for our plates to be cleared so paid at the bar and left. Although the venue is small I was shocked at there only being one customer toilet. The floor was sticky throughout and I was glad to leave. I will not return to this establishment but I wish them good luck.

Worth a visit great ambience and service. Meat and burgers amazing! Great real chips but the sides leave a little to be desired, definitely wouldn't recommend the garlic bread.

We had a lovely meal at Grills Steakhouse on Tuesday evening. The service was very efficient & friendly. The food was excellent & good value for money. My husband struggled to finish his 20oz mixed grill & the creamy garlic sauce I had with my chicken was superb. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Me and my friends have been meeting here for a year or so, always great food, service and great portions!! I'm a veggie and the burgers and other options (that need to be preordered ) are fab. Great eating venue for ponty and surrounding areas!
