   Grillera is consistently excellent. Well prepared, fresh, well seasoned Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. Easy to split appetizers and main courses. BYOB so you can drink what you want--favorite wines and beers etc. Always really good--so happy this restaurant exists among the sea of the "usual" places in New Jersey

   This restaurant provides plentiful portions of tasty food in a comfortable room. The staff is fine, however the problem is that, like its sister location in Chatham, the restaurant has insufficient staff for the number of tables. This leads to continual unwanted delays and long periods where no waiter is visible. It seems to be a family operation, which is nice, but more staff should be hired, especially at dinner.

   Table seating in the front end of restaurant is terrible on a cold day/night. Every time the door opened a cold blast of air came thru, annoying and uncomfortable as you are trying to enjoy your dinner. Food was ok, not bad , nott great. Nothing wowed me to want to return. If you want to experience great Mediterranean/Turkish or Lebanese food... try any place in the Paterson /Clifton area.... this place doesn’t compare.

   First time we’ve been here since the name change. Food was excellent but the service left much to be desired. Waiter never came over to check in on us and we had to wait ridiculously long to get the check. Hopefully this was an off night because we definitely would come back for the delicious food.

   Grillera Mediterranean is the latest restaurant to occupy this spot, and I am pulling for it. I have been there several times, as have my companions, and we have never been disappointed. This last visit was wonderful. The guys each started with a different soup while the ladies shared a salad (which we all sampled). For the main course we each shared a lamb or chicken Shish, which was among the most favorable I have ever had. The combination, with a good bottle of wine I had brought along, made the meal perfect. The final touch was the Baklava we shared for desert. Along with the good food, service was pleasant and efficient, and we were not rushed (although admittedly it was not crowded). It is a small place with no particular ambiance, but we go there for a pleasant evening with good food and conversation, so we were happy. We tend to avoid the busy times.

   Wonderful experience on New Year's Eve. Waitstaff was friendly and very attentive. Food was delicious for the most part. Meats were somewhat under-spiced and two of the pieces of chicken in one person's dish were quite gristly and inedible. Otherwise a great experience. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning soon.

   This dining spot has undergone several iterations over the years, but I think someone finally got it right. My wife has been there for lunch with a small group on several occasions and has been very pleased. This time, we two couples decided to try it for dinner, and we could not have been happier. (Of course, bringing a good bottle of wine may have helped.) The ladies shared a small Shepherd salad with feta cheese, which was large enough for me to join in. We also shared a fried calamari, which had just the right crispiness and flavor. I had the chicken shish and Doner kebab combination, which were both excellent. Usually chicken shish kabob is a bit dry, but this was perfect. I was told the lamb chop was wonderful, but I only managed to retrieve a small taste (from a friend, yet). All told, the food was excellent. Service was good. We were not rushed and the server was helpful and unobtrusively checked on us regularly. With regard to noise level, we were there fairly early, so I can't comment about normal dining hours on a Saturday night. In any case, we will definitely return.
