Grille 3501 Ratings and Reviews
Celebrating our anniversary, so wanted something special. Our server was wonderful but I got the wrong salad and then we had to wait a longer than justified time for the entree , which detracted from the experience. Over all, though, it is still one of our favorite dining spots.
Went with a group of 6 before a concert at PPL Arena. Food was Fantastic. I had the Seared Tuna and my wife had the Duck. Both the food and Service were A+++. Great Find and we will return soon! It is only 3.5 miles away from the Arena and like most other places closer do not change to a tasteless, "Event Menu" when a concert is in town. I would recommend Grille 3501 for Dinner and Dessert!
First of all the food was amazing. I had the filet and my husband had the lobster. He also really enjoyed the appetizer (octopus). I was a little disappointed with the appetizer selection. I didn’t really care for the bread (a strong herb/rosemary flavor). Excellent beer and wine selection but the beer is pretty expensive, even for common brands (Miller Lite was $5 or $6). Service wasn’t super fast so I wouldn’t go if you’re in a time crunch. Overall the food was worth the price and I would go again. If you’re looking for something for a date night or special occasion I would suggest requesting the main dining room as the other areas are a little loud.
All around excellent experience. The tables are a bit cramped, but the restaurant is in what appears to be an old inn so they did the best they could with the spaces available. Wide variety of menu items. The apps were so good we said the next time we go back we may just order all the apps on the menu. Great Staff. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Everyone was very courteous and attentive. Our waitress was very good at her job and provided a great service. The food was good however it was only lukewarm and very costly for the amount of food you got. We had a nice time for our anniversary but by the time we were finished with our dinner the restaurant was full and very noisy.
We made a reservation 1 week in advance. We had the worst table in the restaurant, it was a table for 2 against the wall near a servers station/kitchen entrance. There was never ending foot traffic from wait staff, bus boys and customers being seated. Someone walked by us with a dirty mop to clean up a spill. There was a group of 5 gentlemen seated next to us that had finished dinner and coffee and stayed at the table for at least 45 minutes. They ordered nothing else. They were extremely loud and were clearly having a business dinner. Service was slow, but it was a busy Friday evening. This was not our first time dining here, but I’m in no hurry to return.
We were seated in the loft and it was extremely noisy. This is not a good location for an intimate dinner. The food portions were small for the price. The meal itself was tasty but not excellent. I would recommend this restaurant but would suggest a table in the original dining area for a more quiet dinner experience.
Appetizers are delicious. My husband and I used to be regulars at Grille 3501 but in the past 6-12 months we have noticed a change in their dinner offerings. We often struggle to find entrees that are appealing. We have taken to ordering a few appetizers and no entree.
The Good: our food was superb as usual--the best Filet in the Lehigh Valley--service was excellent as usual--the martini sampler never disappoints!!
The Bad: I had made a reservation for my birthday dinner, expecting to be seated in the dining room. Upon arrival, the hostess told us we would be seated in the loft area. Never having sat in that area before we thought nothing of it. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN!! The noise level was almost unbearable. We could barely hold a conversation. The noise was filtering up from the bar area below and there was a table of 8 girls in their 20's (who were very loud )cramped into a space behind us. Because of the cramped seating, they were constantly bumping our chair backs . For the price and the quality of the food, the atmosphere was not at all what we had in mind for my birthday celebration. We were all very disappointed and due to our negative experience will not be returning for awhile.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Grill 3501. The food, as always, was delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We were seated in the Loft. My only criticism was the noise level. We could barely have a conversation. When I made my reservations, I selected standard seating. I assumed that that meant seating down stairs. Next time I will make that request.
Everything was great just as usual and as we hoped, except the hostess forgot about us and we had to go back over to remind her we hadn't been seated yet-after our reservation time. The food was excellent and perfectly prepared! Our server was prompt, professional, and friendly.
Our server and our food were great. Our table...horrible. We made a 5:30 reservation on a Monday night. The outside was quite busy but our reservations were for inside. After trying to find a hostess inside we went to the outside to find help. She must have been annoyed she had to seat us because inspite of only one other couple in the dining room we were given a back table facing a side exit door. Very disappointing especially since it was our 35th anniversary. I couldn't understand why they would use that section of the dining room first. Seems like it should be used only if it's very busy. Again our server and food were great. Just think about how you fill your dining room.
