Grille 3501 Ratings and Reviews
We came here for Valentine's day, even though it was actually the day after. We were seated promptly and it only took a couple of minutes for our server to come and take our drink order. The food was exceptional. I had the lobster ravioli with grits appetizer. My entree was the sea scallops. My partner had the spring roll appetizer and her entree was the short ribs. Everything we had had incredible flavors and, I would say that this was the best meal I've had in quite some time. I definitely plan to come back to try some of the other menu options.
We were there for Valentines Day. They had a 3-course menu with several options for each course. Both of our meals were excellent and the service was very good (slightly off Outstanding as they were very busy, and service felt rushed). We took a reservation that is in their heated outdoor/bar space and it was fine, but not as nice as their regular dining room. We would eat here again.
Valentine's dinner with my wife, I requested seating in the loft, but was given a high table in the bar. They have an upper loft level, but it was full. I don't understand why they thought it was a substitute location for a romantic dinner. Lobster appetiser tasted like hushpuppies from LJS, no lobster meat flavor. Salmon tasted very fishy. Filet mignon was mushy, low quality beef. Will not return.
Went for Valentine's day. Set menu , with a lot of variety. We had scallops with bacon and the lobster appetizers. They were generous and excellent. The main courses of duck and filet mignon were well presented and cooked perfectly. The rice pudding balls and creme brulee were a fine finish. Our cocktails we had, were well crafted and smooth. I feel this is a good value that never disappoints, for a holiday that can be over priced and mediocre.
Great menu and food quality was excellent. Decor could be updated slightly. Service was good but not exceptional, ie. bread didn't come to the table until entrees served, water only upon asking, and did not offer fresh pepper. However, for the food, I think the prices are very good.
This was the first time we were here. The service, our waitress and food was fantastic. Our waitress made it very special we were there celebrating 4 birthdays all of us turned 50. When they brought out the desserts we each had a candle. We have been childhood friends since we were 5.
We will definitely be back. The filet mignon melted in your mouth.
Thank you for making our girls night birthday dinner so very special.
I only rate the noise level as “high” because we were probably the problem! Our server was FANTASTIC. Knowing that it was a business dinner, she gave us PLENTY of time to chit chat without interrupting us to order food. The speed of the dinner was on point and made for a great experience for our first time guest.
We were disappointed to be seated next to the bar area which was extremely noisy. It was only 5:30 and we had a reservation. My husband did not want to switch tables so I did not ask. I overheard another dinner, also being seated next to the bar, ask for another quieter table the hostess refused. The overall dinning experience was not what we had wanted and even though my husband and I enjoyed our lobster dinners my daughter did not enjoy her bland Caesar salad. Not sure if we will return.
Our sever Alison was Awesome. She was friendly, accommodating and professional. The food was good - appetizers were great, the ostrich was delicious, the short ribs weren’t quite to my liking- I didn’t care for the pomegranate jus with the beef and mushrooms. It just didn’t taste like the flavors blended well to me. The spinach and as good, the Brussels sprouts and the sweet potato bread pudding were excellent. The crispy garlic potato cake was bland, I didn’t taste much of the garlic and it actually needed salt which I never have to say at most restaurants. I have to say the lack of a heavy salt hand is my preference over the majority of restaurants that use salt as a major flavor component instead of just enhancement of flavor. We likely won’t return but it was a good experience overall.
We requested the loft, but we were disappointed to find that this included the downstairs (loud) area behind the bar. When we questioned it, the person who seated us was rather abrupt. Our server was very pleasant and the food/drinks exceptional. If you’re looking for a fun, but not so loud dinner, request the upstairs area of the loft!! We will definitely return.
Atmosphere non descript, but given choice of dining inside or on the enclosed deck/bar area. Mussels appetizer was unique, and outstanding with fresh fish, chorizo, peppers, tomatos; could have been a meal unto itself and highly recommended. Veal cheeks also prepared well, exceptionally tender and slow cooked. Ribeye special well prepared, but cheap cut of steak limits how well it will be. Wine list not bad, and includes world wide bottles. Overall very good dining experience - food preparation was the strongest element.
Grille 3501 never disappoints! I've been here so often I can't begin to guess the number of visits. It's consistently wonderful. The food is not your standard restaurant fare. It's always so creative with combinations that you'd never see elsewhere. The service is ALWAYS great, friendly, low key. And the plates come out looking like artwork. I cannot say enough about this place. Their chicken dumplings are insanely addictive. You must give them a try. Try this spot if you have not. It's beautiful, great service, and most EXCELLENT food and drinks!
Lunch at 3501 is always a treat. The food, while not inexpensive, is always top notch and the selection of wines, by the bottle or glass, is outstanding. I had the ahai tuna with a cannelloni bean ragu and my friend had the crispy king salmon dish. While the amount of Fish on each plate was just adequate, it was the blend of flavors provided by the accompaniments that made each dish outstanding and worth the price. A couple of glasses of French Rhône Valley wine set of the lunch in fine order.
