We opened our doors on November 13, 2001 and since that time, our ever-widening circle of loyal customers consistently tell us we are among the most sophisticated and welcoming establishments in the Lehigh Valley.
Food and drinks were amazing but it very loud and hard to have a conversation with my other half
Food was ok but really overpriced for the quality. Our waitress disappeared for a long time after our salads came.
Love the loft!!
The drinks are creative..
The food was great!!
We ordered the halibut. It’s really expensive so it should be perfect. It arrived undercooked and the waitress argued that it was ok. Not... it was still quite pink in the middle. Raw fish makes me ill. So we sent it back and it returned at a proper temperature. Jeez, use a thermometer. It’s easy to get halibut cooked through at about 140 F. I do it at home....and I’m not a chef. We have had much better experiences at 3501 hence the 4 stars this time.
We enjoy Grille 3501 but must have hit an off night for our server. We ordered drinks and she disappeared, then I had to specifically chase her to order a bottle of wine, despite holding the wine menu in my hands but she wanted to hurry us into our total food order. We ordered appetizers at the time we ordered the wine and then had to wait to order entrees until well after the plates were cleared. She then again disappeared but we bravely fought on and ordered desert when we could grab her again. The restaurant was not particularly full but she seemed to be overwhelmed taking care of a group from the American Red Cross. Only one water refill and that was after chasing her down again.
Grille 3501 will be a regular for my friends when we gather for lunch. We all had wonderful meals! Mussels, short ribs, salads, crab cakes.....all delicious! Service was excellent...thank you Lauren. Thrilled to have discovered Grille 3501. The only reason I rated ambience as 4 stars is because we were in the dining room which wasn't as casual as we would have liked HOWEVER we now know about The Loft :-)
Love it! Always a go to for nicer meal with someone special !
I had high hopes after seeing and hearing about its popularity. Even though it's been in business for several years, this was my first time there. The place was beautiful inside...quite different from the restaurant that used to be there (name escapes me). Service seemed OK, but it was a while after being seated before someone came over to take drink orders. It was the middle of the week, so I thought service would be better compared to a weekend. The menu items sounded delicious, and my food was tasty. However, I thought it wasn't as good as the cost would make me think. To be honest, I've had meals I've enjoyed more for nearly half the cost. Maybe it would be better if I was just going for drinks with friends during Happy Hour. But for dinner, I just can't see spending the money again.
Awesome place!! Awesome food! This place was all around awesome!
3501 is our reliable go-to favorite. At times can be crowded and noisy but food and service never disappoints.
Normally the food is outstanding, however this was a different experience. The filet was drenched in sauce, as if it were a gravy. You could barely see the steak and potatoes, and i discovered the asparagus as i was trying to push the sauce away. The sauce was too overwhelming to enjoy the filet. I’m very surprised the dish came out of the kitchen that way, and served without anyone noticing or saying anything.
The Loft is very nice. Food very good, waitress very friendly. Always a good experience.
The food was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Only downside was that we were seated in the dining room "annex" - not an attractive part of restaurant.
I brought a family member to celebrate her 92nd birthday. Everything was fantastic. Kristy was such a doll to have as a server. She was attentive and very friendly. Dinner was fabulous! Best halibut I have ever had. Everyone loved their meals the snapper was amazing I was told. The dessert we all had the chocolate bomb with nutella. Amazing!!! Thank you for a wonderful time
Everything was spot on perfect! The Halibut was absolutely amazing.
We've eaten here twice in the last three months. The first time, service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. The second time, server was very nice, but it took very long to get our meal. It usually takes awhile to get your meal here, which is okay, but very long is not. I appreciate that you aren't rushed to eat and get out. The halibut portions were small and it came with one piece of asparagus on my mothers plate, and three on mine. That's just stupid. The purple potatoes were just okay and overdone. These meals are totally overpriced for the poor sized portions. Drinks here are always very good. Their sister restaurant "Edge" is better. I've always loved the atmosphere here, but something was very off this time. Three meals with two alcoholic beverages, one appetizer, and one soup was $151.
Food was good , extremely loud and hard to hear...I was in the loft. Wait staff was pleasant.
Bar in the loft is slow. Tough to have a drink while waiting on table. Bartenders apparently have a lot of close friends
Food was excellent . My steak was perfect . Server was excellent.
Relaxing, good place to talk, courteous staff. Outstanding food!
Excellent lunch! Can't wait to return. Need more places like the 3501 Grill in the Lehigh Valley.
The Loft was noisy for lunch, we sat upstairs. Service was good, food was good, was a little pricy.
Food was amazing as usual. This time though the service was way below expectations. The bar tender - who was the server in the Loft - was not attentive and not timely. We even had to go up and pay at the bar as she just never came over. We used for dessert menus and had to ask again. The short ribs, sea scallops & filet, flourless chocolate cake and coffee mousse bomb were amazing. Sad we had little service. That is usually not the case so we will be back and maybe not choose the Loft next time if the bar tender is not interested in earning tips.
Quite busy for a hot Tuesday night but service was good and food excellent. My wife had two appetizers and no main but portions were just right.
My king salmon was perfection.
Good, fresh food and attentive service.
Our waitress was exceptionally poised, professional, and pleasantly helpful.
It was our 13th Wedding Anniversary! We shared delicious food, had great drinks and enjoyed the ambiance. We will definitely return!!
Thank you for a wonderful- memorable evening!!
Drinks were good. Apps were outstanding. My wife’s scallops were very good but my sea bass was disgusting. Every peace of sea bass in any country I’ve been to was thick, white and flaky. This slop was about the size of a hash brown crisp to way over cooked on the out side and tasted like oil. You could have wrung it out.
Bring back the sweet potato dumplings!
My husband and I used to be "regulars" at Grille 3501 until about 1 1/2 years ago. We had 2 mediocre dining experiences in a row where we were crammed inside at terrible tables (literally inches from other tables). We decided to give Grille 3501 a break. Last week, I stumbled upon a gift card, so we decided to give it another try. We made reservations and asked for seating in the Loft area. When we arrived, we were offered a table outside. We had plenty of room and privacy, the weather was lovely, and the food and service were great. We were not rushed through our meal and our waitress was attentive without being "over-the-top". We will likely give them another try to see if last week's dinner was just a "good night", or whether we just got lucky.
3501 has been a favorite for many years. This time was a little disappointing though. Everything tasted fine but presentation is too busy and bo longer worth the high prices. 17 for the very small octopus appetizer is just an example.
I have nothing but superlatives to describe the food. The shared octopus appetizer with the large pink tentacle resting on a vivid green vegetable base evoked an inviting coolness in us that was followed by our palates applauding. Nan’s short rib with wild mushroom risotto had a rich meaty sauce and was the requisite fork tender. The smooth textures complimented each other. My salmon with a crisp skin, moist flesh on vegetable medley made a palatally complete dish. We did not have dessert.
Service was courteous and prompt. Specials were not mentioned.
We were seated in an ancillary dining area where we were privy to staff gossip and frequent comings and goings of kitchen staff through the help entrance. Totally out of place with the superb level of the food. Most of the places in the appealing dining room were empty when we arrived and left. Disappointing also was no recognition of this being a special event for us. Also inconsistent with the quality of the food.
They did call us about an item that had fallen out of my pocket.
I have been to your restaurant 6 or 7 times and it has always been better the average. this last visit however was not good.
Food was well prepared with a great presentation and tasted delicious.
Server and barmaid were great. Food fantastic. Desert delightful. We will return!!
The main course was very good but we ordered salads before that and the Japanese type salad that my husband ordered was bland. He only ate a small portion of it and the waitress would have simply taken it away without any thought about the small amount eaten except I mentioned that he didn't like it. Her only response was "you didn't like it? I like it. I eat it every day for lunch." Not: I'm sorry you didn't like it, could I get you something else? or anything like that.
Our go to place!! Love Tom as the bartender at the back bar💕
Staying in Allentown area on a trip further south, what a treat to find imaginative delicious food and a great wine list, when we tired of the usual road food. We had apps of Smokey grilled octopus, and a giant lobster ravioli which we battled each other for every forkful. Entrees: Melt in your mouth short ribs with an intensely flavored sauce on bed of fresh spinach and duck breast with tender sweet spring carrots with their green tops still on, both with different potatoes. Dessert caused another battle, for coffee mousse bombe with caramel sauce. Great price for this level of food. Wine list with more than just the usual suspects. Wish we lived around here so we could come all the time!
Good food, good service. Just wish they were a little more accommodating with outdoor seating because the noise level was pretty loud. They also werent the most accommdating with substitutions for the dishes but everything else was great.
