We opened our doors on November 13, 2001 and since that time, our ever-widening circle of loyal customers consistently tell us we are among the most sophisticated and welcoming establishments in the Lehigh Valley.
Excellent lunch! Can't wait to return. Need more places like the 3501 Grill in the Lehigh Valley.
Food was amazing as usual. This time though the service was way below expectations. The bar tender - who was the server in the Loft - was not attentive and not timely. We even had to go up and pay at the bar as she just never came over. We used for dessert menus and had to ask again. The short ribs, sea scallops & filet, flourless chocolate cake and coffee mousse bomb were amazing. Sad we had little service. That is usually not the case so we will be back and maybe not choose the Loft next time if the bar tender is not interested in earning tips.
Quite busy for a hot Tuesday night but service was good and food excellent. My wife had two appetizers and no main but portions were just right.
My king salmon was perfection.
Good, fresh food and attentive service.
Our waitress was exceptionally poised, professional, and pleasantly helpful.
It was our 13th Wedding Anniversary! We shared delicious food, had great drinks and enjoyed the ambiance. We will definitely return!!
Thank you for a wonderful- memorable evening!!
Drinks were good. Apps were outstanding. My wife’s scallops were very good but my sea bass was disgusting. Every peace of sea bass in any country I’ve been to was thick, white and flaky. This slop was about the size of a hash brown crisp to way over cooked on the out side and tasted like oil. You could have wrung it out.
My husband and I used to be "regulars" at Grille 3501 until about 1 1/2 years ago. We had 2 mediocre dining experiences in a row where we were crammed inside at terrible tables (literally inches from other tables). We decided to give Grille 3501 a break. Last week, I stumbled upon a gift card, so we decided to give it another try. We made reservations and asked for seating in the Loft area. When we arrived, we were offered a table outside. We had plenty of room and privacy, the weather was lovely, and the food and service were great. We were not rushed through our meal and our waitress was attentive without being "over-the-top". We will likely give them another try to see if last week's dinner was just a "good night", or whether we just got lucky.
3501 has been a favorite for many years. This time was a little disappointing though. Everything tasted fine but presentation is too busy and bo longer worth the high prices. 17 for the very small octopus appetizer is just an example.
I have been to your restaurant 6 or 7 times and it has always been better the average. this last visit however was not good.
Food was well prepared with a great presentation and tasted delicious.
Server and barmaid were great. Food fantastic. Desert delightful. We will return!!
The main course was very good but we ordered salads before that and the Japanese type salad that my husband ordered was bland. He only ate a small portion of it and the waitress would have simply taken it away without any thought about the small amount eaten except I mentioned that he didn't like it. Her only response was "you didn't like it? I like it. I eat it every day for lunch." Not: I'm sorry you didn't like it, could I get you something else? or anything like that.
Our go to place!! Love Tom as the bartender at the back bar💕
Staying in Allentown area on a trip further south, what a treat to find imaginative delicious food and a great wine list, when we tired of the usual road food. We had apps of Smokey grilled octopus, and a giant lobster ravioli which we battled each other for every forkful. Entrees: Melt in your mouth short ribs with an intensely flavored sauce on bed of fresh spinach and duck breast with tender sweet spring carrots with their green tops still on, both with different potatoes. Dessert caused another battle, for coffee mousse bombe with caramel sauce. Great price for this level of food. Wine list with more than just the usual suspects. Wish we lived around here so we could come all the time!
Good food, good service. Just wish they were a little more accommodating with outdoor seating because the noise level was pretty loud. They also werent the most accommdating with substitutions for the dishes but everything else was great.
Always have a delectable dinner, have yet to have a bad meal. Our server,Megan, was the best, very attentive and cordial!
We celebrated my sons college graduation. The food was excellent as was the service. We were initially in the Loft, but it would have been difficult to have a normal conversation. They seated us where we were basically the only ones in the area. It was a memorable evening.
Food and service were very good and we enjoyed the meal.
We went on a Wednesday and sat in the loft area, this is the newer section -very upbeat and a modern feel. Last time we visited we sat in the older section and went on a weekend and service had been slow. This time the service was fantastic and as always the food was excellent. For starters we had the mussels with chorizo and mushrooms in I believe a wine broth great combo of flavors! I had the Pacific Bass which was the special of the night with crab risotto and baby carrots - fish was cooked perfectly, crab risotto was incredible and baby carrots right amount of crunch. My husband had the sea bass from the menu and it too was excellent his was more savory mine more on the sweet side. For dessert we had the smores with smoked vanilla ice cream and nutella chocolate dessert. Both were delicious but I was not a fan of the smoked vanilla ice cream (I realized I didn't like the unique smoked flavoring but if smoked is your thing you will like it). Overall another wonderful dinner at Grille 3501.
Food and service were good! Prices are quite expensive, so be aware of that before you go. Unfortunately, despite my request for a quiet table ahead of time, we were seated near a very large and rowdy group so we could barely carry on a conversation. (And this was on a weekday evening!). We will return at some point, but will absolutely reconfirm in advance that we are seated in a quieter area so we may enjoy each other’s company while we dine.
Birthday. Christie was a great server. There was a large party near us that was too loud tho. Excellent scallops!
We enjoyed it so much that we already have a reservation to come back with friends in a few weeks. What a great find!
I met a great friend I hadn't seen in 40 years for lunch at Grille 3501. Could NOT have chosen a more perfect location for our reunion! The ambience was bustling and joy-filled - (a bit loud, but so were we!) Our server Michelle was attentive to all of our needs, be it another glass of wine, menu recommendations or a bit of privacy for us to catch up.
My friend had the arugala salad with spiced pecans, cranberries and goat cheese, I the scallop entree. Both meals prepared to perfection - her salad immaculately dressed without being overwhelming. Sweet, tart and savory -Let's just say everyone at the party danced!!
My scallops were perfectly seared (and I've NEVER said that before today) yet creamy and delicate inside. The kimchi black rice and shitake mushrooms accompanying the seafood morsels were sublime. Imagine eating something and thinking, "HOW does this taste so good?!". I did.
Moderately priced for an establishment of this caliber, Grille 3501 is my new top 'go to'. I can only imagine the splendors that await in further exploration of their solid menu selections!
We had the tuna and the sea bass and both were excellent. And this is coming from 2 self-described foodies. It was our first time dining here, and we'd definitely go back.
Wonderful as always. Melissa served for a second time and she was fabulous! Thanks again!
We had dinner inside and it was very nice, they have redesigned the dining room to have very low noise levels. Service was great, I had the Pork Chop Special and would recommend it to anyone.
Well prepared and presented food items. Cocktails were a bit too sweet and not too creative. Dining room has a back area with AC vents right above tables, so it was very chilly and we had to move to another area. The hostess was very accommodating.
Our favorite place to dine...food and service is always on point.
It was our first time for the occasion of our wedding anniversary. The Food is delicious and outstanding. ambience is not darker but it was fine. service was great. it was noisy but it didnt bother us bcos we like it anyways. we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with lots of different new things to try. we had grilled octopus, duck toast, crispy calamari, kids meal short ribs and drinks. everything was fabulously delicious.
This was our first time there. We were asked if we wanted the dining room or the "loft", which is really just the area by the bar. We chose the loft.
It was rather noisy but we were expecting that.
Our waitress was Shannon who was very attentive. I had wine and my husband had a beer. For appetizers we had a wedge salad and calamari. They were both excellent. I had the scallops for dinner and my husband had the braised short rib. Again, both excellent. We didn't have dessert as we were both full and there was nothing on the dessert menu that really stood out. (Not that there weren't good desserts listed, but I wanted to digest a little and I did have my mind set on a hot fudge sundae from the local ice cream shop a little later on!).
The bill was a little on the high end, nothing crazy or unexpected, mainly because of the $10 per wine glass price tag (I had two wines, husband had the one beer).
Overall, we were very happy and will definitely be back.
One thing I wanted to mention, it was my birthday and my husband made the reservation and notated that in Open Table, but there was no acknowledgement on Grille 3501's end, so not sure if they were aware or not.
Food is delicious; servers do a great job and are very friendly. One of our favorite places to eat!
We enjoyed the fish specials - mahi-mahi & halibut. Both were delicious! An excellent mix of vegetables and flavors to complement fresh fish. Looking forward to more wonderful fish dishes this summer.
We love Grille 3501 and always have a wonderful time when we were there.
Top notch as usual
We spent Father’s Day there with our youngest son. Dinner was delicious! The service was courteous and the atmosphere was perfect!
We met some family there. It was a great experience and we will definitely try to get back there.
Grille 3501 is consistently wonderful! The staff, from Theresa the hostess to the servers are professional, caring and friendly. The food and drinks are always terrific.
Always a great experience. Our server was great!
