Went for an early dinner (6.30pm) and the restaurant was already buzzing when we arrived and more than half full. Our server was extremely helpful and explained all the different cuts of meat. Can definately recommend the 100 day aged steak - it melts in your mouth. If ordering a side of fries be warned - 1 portion will feed up to 3 people!
The wine list was extensive and the champagne by the glass was excellent. We thought the addition of small plates for dessert was a really good idea and the dessert we ordered was fabulous.
Would recommend to anyone for a special evening out.

Recently visited Grill 23 with my son for the first time in several years (his first time). We both had the 100 day aged rib eye steak which we both agreed was the best steak that either of us had ever eaten. Can't wait to go back!

Celebrating anniversary. Asked for a quiet table in advance and walked to among worst tables in house completely not private and surrounded by all. Request to relocate accommodated and then watched 4 other couples ask out of same bad table.

Took 15 min to be recognized by waiter and every interaction after that was from us asking not waiter checking in to see how we were doing. Never checked to see how dinners came out and generally a bad waiter.

At $100+ per head I expect to be treated well....had not been to 23 in a long time and now I recall way. High prices relative to other steak houses in city, fat louder and worse service. Sorry g23 but won't be back and thanks for doing so little to recognize our anniversary. First assign me a bad table when place was wide open and then serve me poorly and don't bother to send over a "happy anniversary" desert or any other recognition. Very poor.

HUsband took me here for our anniversary, it was recommended by family. The atmosphere is very active, vibrant, loud, not loud enough you can't hear each other speak but active. The food and service made up for it! Delicious! Started with the fried calamari, which was delicious! Then I got the Beef Tenderloin with Mac and cheese. Skip the mac and cheese that was okay but the beef was tender, excellent! My husband got the Tuna he said it was fresh and very good!

Overall, we recommend this to anyone not for a romantic dinner thou more with friends or a family outing! It is expensive but it's fine dining!

Unbelievably fresh, well made and superbly served food. Saying anything more here would suggest the experience was less than perfect. We have had too many dashed expectations at equally high rated restaurants in Boston ..... Grill 23 is one of the few to have delivered in recent memory. Our waiter, Brendan, lead a team that provided flawless, personal but professioal, service.

This was my second trip, after having eaten what I refer to as 'the best steak I've ever eaten' about 3 years ago. And now I can say Grill 23 has served me the TWO best steaks I've ever eaten.

A little disappointed on my cocktail. But the sides were an excellent compliment to the best meat in the world. I wish I could afford to come more frequently.

We were really disappointed with Grill 23 after reading good reviews and hearing that it was one of the top steak houses in Boston. It was INCREDIBLY loud in the restaurant, my husband and I had to yell at each other from across the table. We were also seated very close to two couples on either side of us. Our food was delivered cold/room temperature. It was clear it has been sitting around for a while. It was very good, but would have been even better if it had been hot. And finally, we had several different servers, so it was hard to figure out who to ask when we needed something. I would recommend skipping this place and trying Ruth's Chris or Abe & Louie's.

We had called the restaurant to up our reservation from 7-8. The place was hopping when we got there. The first table they brought us to was for 7, they said they could add a seat and push the table into the serving station. Very Lame. We waited a few more minutes for a better table. The next table was fine but service stunk. The head waiter was accommodating but too busy and his next in command was terrible. He rolled his eyes and sneered when we asked him to wrap the sides. It was so loud in there he couldn't hear us when we had asked three times prior. It was ridiculous. Never going back.
I think it is a more of a tourist attraction as there was a bus of people with a reservation. I don't want to go to fine dining restaurants that take bus reservations!!

Great dinner
Overall we enjoyed great service from our waiter, though we initially felt rushed to order
When we told him we wanted to wait a few minutes, it was fine

The only thing that was memorable was the coffee. Oh, and the oyster, which was raw and hard to mess up.

Can't find a better steakhouse in Boston. Food, cocktails, wine, dessert, and service were all impressive and didn't disappoint.

Had a fantastic meal. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny. The steak melted in your mouth and the bacon mac and cheese was to die for.
