Service was great, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu! Since it was my partner’s birthday, I requested a specific seat ahead of time, and they acknowledged it and sat us there!
My favorite part of the night was the coconut cake, which I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as I did. I’d go back just for the cake!
The food itself was good, but not as outstanding. The crab cake was standard and tasted good. The halibut was just ok - the fish itself wasn’t very flavorful. My partner enjoyed his 100 day aged steak as well. He loved the chowder he started with.

Food and drinks were excellent. They were very busy when we were there but we were taken care of in reasonable time. Very noisy but can’t really complain about that since it was so busy.

The food and service at Grill 23 were wonderful. We were a party of six and our waiter made excellent recommendations and had a friendly manner. Everyone who ordered steak had it cooked exactly as they had asked. There was even a delicious vegetarian option for the non-meat eater in the crowd. The bread basket had a variety of options which was also great for our party of diverse palettes. Overall, the service was thoughtful with our water glasses being kept full and orders were accurate. At the end of the meal, I gave the waiter my parking ticket from the valet and our car was waiting right out front when we departed. The only issue we had was there was a large and loud table next to us. They were drinking a lot and became quite loud. Everything else about the evening was perfect.

We both had 100 Day Aged Ribeye and they were fantastic - perfectly done - all the side dishes great - great wine selection. A perfect early Father's Day celebration.

Grill 23 is one of my all-time favorites. We only eat order beef when we go, because they do such a spectacular job with it, but I'm sure the other entrees are excellent. The side dishes are quite good, with just a twist to them to make them more interesting. The broccoli, in particular, was done nicely with almonds and cheese. It also comes with a spicy sauce, which we were able to order on the side, so that each of us could adjust our heat level. The chocolate layer cake was also especially delectable, an individual cake with a thick but not overpowering sauce and salted caramel ice cream.
Grill 23 is known for its impressive wine list, but there is also a very nice, reasonably-priced selection of wines by the glass in addition to cocktails and beer.
The service is always impeccable, helpful but not intrusive.

Grill 23 was a wonderful place to celebrate our son's college graduation. The attention to detail and perfect service by out wait staff was amazing. While the restaurant can be noisy on the ground floor, we were seated upstairs in a quiet room. We can't wait to go back!
Service was exceptional from the time we arrived until we completed our meal. We were seated upstairs in a smaller room , by a window which was perfect. I had pre-ordered a bottle of Prosecco for the table & upon seating it was promptly brought over, without asking or being reminded. Food quality was great and portions perfect. Wait staff made great recommendations. Working in the same type business it was a pleasure to receive such good service. My credits to the owner for hiring good staff. I had traveled from NY and will tell anyone going to your city to have a meal there. I will be definitely be back next time I visit Boston.
I would like to thank your GM Greg for making this a fabulous evening. We went to Grill23 for my son's 30th birthday. We made the reservation 3 months ago for this occasion. When we got there, we were seated at the table below the steps near where the hostess is. The traffic was heavy there and it was not very enticing. We were very disappointed. I talked to Greg about it and he immediately moved our table to a separate room. The food was incredible (best steak we ever had!). It was an incredible evening for a special occasion. Thanks again to Greg for saving the evening.

When in Boston Grill 23 is a must visit place.
I was so pleased to have Hugo provide our party with a selection for our wine, one we would never have had the opportunity to enjoy without guidance.
Olivia and her team also are a very well ordered group who make you feel like your at your regular dining spot.
The personal touches they provide made this birthday celebration a memorable event.

The restaurant was overall louder than many other restaurants. The food was very good. Enjoyed the large dessert menu. Service could have been better. Food took a long time to come out after appetizer. Waiter never came by to ask how our food was.
Absolutely amazing food and service with impressive (and expensive) wine list, not to be missed!!
Matthew was great and very accommodating to reseat us due to a very obnoxious and loud diner that was right next to our requested “quiet” table. Misty was our waitress and was fantastic. This is a very nice place but it is a “live” environment. Always perplexed that some restaurant customers think it is OK to shout across a table and share their personal information with everyone in a 50 foot radius.

We had a great server who gave excellent, off-menu suggestions. Our first visit to Grill 23 and the steak and all the sides were excellent, dessert was okay, cocktails and wine were lovely.
Porterhouse was slightly over cooked (asked for medium). Mushrooms lacked flavor. Our waiter was nice but difficult to track down

Our server, Hector, was superb! Friendly, efficient, professional. The food was excellent, though pricey for this teacher's salary. Ambiance was lovely but a little noisy for 4 people conversing across the table. I would love to go back for a special occasion.

Very noisy & crowded. Service was good. Food was fair and for a high end restaurant, I expected more. Vegetable sides were excellent. If you go, eat vegetables and bring your ear plugs.

Enjoyed a great meal by the picture window looking out onto Stuart St. Our server Misty was attentive and personable. The 100 day aged ribeye was excellent, grilled to perfection at medium rare and with little marbling. By the time I looked down it was gone. We also ordered the filet, which at 10 oz is a hefty cut. It was a little over done, but we asked for medium-well which can be hard to get right. Asparagus and tater tots were the sides and key lime pie to finish it off. Overall great experience and we look forward to coming back and trying other selections.
