Everything from start to finish was superb! The 100 day aged ribeye, paired with a 2015 Burgess Cellars Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon exhibited a depth of flavors that was absolutely exquisite. The scallops, calamari and crab cakes were pleasantly paired with a 2019 Pascal Jolivet sauvignon blanc from the Loire Valley in France. Our server and wait staff were fantastic! I appreciate the attention the management extended with the kind greeting to ensure quality was up to expectations. Fantastic evening!

Big fail unfortunately for every aspect of the restaurant. Tough steak, bland cream of spinach, ordered birthday dessert and gave special candles which they forgot them remembered and brought them with the wrong dessert. I’ll try again but convincing my wife will be a difficult venture.
5 star service, food and atmosphere. Well worth the visit for an enjoyable dinner experience.

I love Grille 23 and it will always be the standard for steakhouses in Boston. Our meal and service were both top-notch, but one thing took away from the experience, and the staff and restaurant had nothing to do with it.
We go to Grille 23 not just for the food but for the ambiance and sense of old school class. The table we sat next to just took away from that feeling. They were dressed like slobs (t-shirt, hat, shorts) and at 3:30 were a little drunker louder and "crasser" than was necessary. I remember when there was a requirement for Jackets on guys etc.
I was disappointed that the early Easter dinner I took my parents to was marred by the cleintel.

A little disappointed with our dining experience this evening. Grill 23 has been always a fabulous dining experience but after our past two recent experiences I’m feeling disappointed. Food was great but service is lacking! Steaks under cooked and sent back. Purposely went there to celebrate a birthday, noted it on Opentable and host mentioned it, but totally overlooked by our server.
As always, service and food were top notch. We only come here for special occasions and have always walked away very pleased with the entire experience.
Weird crowd, eclectic, odd vibe, food was ok, didn’t like the location parked behind the seedy Park Plaza. We had reservations for a few weeks and after multiple outstanding meals in the back bay this, our final dinner in town, was meh. We were led out of the main dining room past multiple empty tables to a dark, dismal, depressing back room. We requested to dine in the main room and were punished by being placed up against the wall to wait (for what?) like a few misbehaving miscreants. We finally sat at the table and despite a sweet waiter the evening was a “meh” at best. Food ok, overall wouldn’t return. We were happy to leave.
The food is what one expects from a steak house, generous portions, well prepared and plated, the setting is comfortably genteel, and the staff are professional and attentive - what else could one ask for?

G23 has the best steaks around. And the martini’s aren’t too bad either.
Their steak simply can’t be beat. It’s the best in the city. Service is perfect. We’re still in Covid times, so the ambiance is not like before, but it was still a lovely evening.

The food was amazing as always. They talk assertively about wine -and they have a pretty good selection to support that- however, when it comes to serving, they never do or offer to air the wine. I hope they fix that...

Our Sunday funday was perfection. Conor made our late lunch very special. I will be returning and I will be requesting Conor. Btw the martinis are covered in crushed ice!!! Amazing!!!!

We had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in. We needed a table with more light and they sat us at the perfect table. Conor the waiter was so helpful and patient. He suggested drinks and never rushed us. He answered any and all questions we had about the food. We asked that the wine be brought out when the foie gras came out and he remembered which was really impressive. It pairs with the foie gras perfectly. All the food was amazing and cooked to perfection. The dessert was spectacular - Ice cream with candied nuts and sherry. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Waiter didn’t take our order for 1 hour from the time we sat down. Table next to us ordered two desserts and they never came. Was checked on once. I’ve been here twice now and each time I’m disappointed.

23 grill gives me the vibes of families gatherings for happy occasions in their best restaurant. My forever to go choice is steak frites. It’s literally something to die for. Each bite has the same added value and satisfaction level. Their coconut cake is out of this world.
