The service was attentive, the cocktails amazing, and the rib eye steak was. Incredible. Since we didn’t want a full steak, the steak was split for the two of us.
Excellent staff and menu. Food of top quality and comfortable tables/chairs in a pleasant but slightly noisy environment.
We came here after my husband ran the marathon. The steaks were amazing! I’m still dreaming about the tater tots!
Wonderful service and delicious food. It's a really large space so fairly noisy, bright and vibrant. It's fairly expensive so not a regular stop but good for a special event/dinner.
Chris was our server, he was amazing but the food wasn't the greatest. Ordered the Filet Mignon and it tasted like a hamburger. Drinks where really good and like I said Chris our server was great. If you do go I would recommend requestinnng him.
Great experience. Thank you
Had wonderful date with my wife. Hadn't been to Grill 23 in a couple years, but it has always been a favorite. The return did not disappoint! Amazing appetizers and a wonderful steak, cooked perfectly.
Bill and Sal were great!
We had a wonderful dinner (veal chop) and the b'day candle in our profiteroles
Great place for a good dinner. Very loud but don't let this district you . Highly recommend.
Very good food, though table next to us was exceptionally loud and seemed under-dressed for the establishment
Amazing as always !!!
First time to Boston. Grill 23 was recommended by a sales clerk at Valentino. We usually go to the chain restaurants but decided to take her recommendation and we were glad we did.
had 2 appetizers and one glass of wine for $80 before tip.
Always a wonderful experience at Grill 23. Our favorite steak house. Classic, elegant, and delicious.
My husband and I were in Boston over the weekend and decided to go to Grill 23 to celebrate our anniversary. It was fantastic. You have to get the tator tots!! So good! My husband and I split the he 18 ounce ribeye, plenty of steak for two people. It was so so good! The restaurants is loud but it was a Saturday night.
I have eaten many times at G23 and have grown accustomed to a great experience. On this night, the Service could only be described only as order taking. No other services provided that I would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. No introduction to the restaurant, food recommendations or check back in when other employees delivered the food.
You will not be disappointed
My 28th birthday....It took about 15 minutes for someone to greet us. Another 15/20 to receive drinks.
The food was over cooked, no flavor. The drinks were pretty good...but I wouldn’t give much more than that!
Our bill was $600 overpriced for horrible food.
Just your average overpriced steakhouse, in a world where there are a dozen just like it in the area. When I spend $250 for something I could make at home for $75, I expect to at least be treated special. This place lacks atmosphere, and quality service. Fillet was good, not great. The wedge was a Romaine not Iceberg, which included to much core. Crispy Potatoes were crispy because they were burned to a crisp. I guess the best thing we had to eat was the Coconut Pie. Maybe they should just start a bakery.
Grill 23 continues to be the center of the universe for upscale steaks, wine and service. They will surprise you with fabulous fish dishes as well. I've been going to the Grill on a fairly regular basis for over 25 years for special occasions, large groups or just a special dining experience. The staff is fabulous, the bartenders are incredibly talented and social - even the parking attendants treat you special.
There's always a vibrant buzz at Grill 23 that's tough to beat - I've dined just about everywhere.
This was our second visit and it is still one of our favourites. Food is excellent and all of the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant does get a bit noisy but it is well worth a visit if you are looking for the perfect steak in Boston
Wonderful service and fast, delicious food. Expensive but worth it.
The waitstaff and food are both outstanding ambience excellent valet parking right out front will return soon. Solid experience in classic Boston
The service was superb, the food incredible and the drinks robust and flavorful. My only concern was the two table corner we were seated in. It was so tight that we felt we were having dinner with the people next to us. Over all though, the experience was very good.
It was our first visit, but on our “to do” list for years. We were not disappointed. The building is charming (high ceilings make it a little noisy) and the service impeccable. The food was perfectly prepared and served. We will be back!
Great food, service and very accommodating
Our party of six had an excellent Easter dinner. Crab cakes were great and the steaks were even better. We had a great white wine and a perfect red for the meat. Coffee, desserts and port were a great end to the day. Everyone had a grand time and perfect Easter dinner.
We came here for Easter, there were 7 of us. The place was packed. I was incredibly impressed by the quality of food considering how busy the restaurant was. Staff was super attentive and nice
They have changed the crab cake from a large gluten-free masterpiece to a small sort of dry ordinary offering. So disappointing!
Loved our waiter. Service and food was excellent
Consistently good. We were there at Easter and we had brunch, which is not something the restaurant normally does. I had am amazing veal chop--one of the best I have had anywhere. Juicy, tender, perfectly cooked. Others had steak, lamb, all excellent. Awesome sticky buns ad desserts. Service was excellent.
We went to G23 For Easter brunch. While the hostess was very displeased with our request to be seated away from the service area of the kitchen as originally seated, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were very excited to have Easter brunch at such a nice and well regarded restaurant.
Frankly and fairly, this is not a brunch sorta place nor does the management and Chef know what brunch is because that they presented is a far-cry from a brunch menus. Not really sure why they even indicated they have brunch. There was a minor attempt on the menu to present a couple of items, but much more of a steak house which is where they should remain.
In summary, terrible brunch bread sticky bun served stone cold, zero attempt even serving a decent crab Benedict dish - truly awful and scrambled eggs on a plain white dish, no garnish, no nothing. Shame on the chef for the absolute lack of creativity and servicing something not even close to being enticing especially on Easter Sunday.
If Chef and management decide next year to serve Easter brunch again, or any other weekend brunch for that matter, please go to Oak Room, Mistal or Taj first to learn about brunch and how to cook and present brunch! You may find that each of these places have incredible brunch menus not just steaks and actually use garnish and spices. You may also be surprised that people flock to these restaurants, which is where we will be going in the future.
I will say the wait staff was nice and apologetic over the fake-brunch and lack of even trying or putting a little effort in.
Went for Easter brunch, and it was great! Food, service, atmosphere, pace - all terrific.
Awesome place. Awesome food. Noisy. Expensive
One of the best restaurants I’d ever been to. I had chicken under a brick (I know at a steakhouse) and my boyfriend had the ribeye. We shared bread wine and squash. All was phenomenal! Service was excellent. We will be back!!
Grill 23 never disappoints, great atmosphere and food is always very good. We had a round table for our group of 7 making it perfect to keep everyone engaged and included in the conversation.
Excellent as always! Classic decor with superb service! Food was wonderful!
Every thing was quite lovely for my husband's birthday dinner. I just feel it's outrageous to have such insane prices for a meal that's no different from other steak houses in the area.
Awesome meal and a great experience overall. Grill 23 always NAILS it!
