   I made a reservation for 6 for June 22nd at 6:30. I assumed that since I made my reservation via Open Table, and replied to an email the next day to confirm my reservation, that we were good to go for our dinner/birthday plans on the 22nd. However, upon arriving that evening we were told that Grill 19 was closed for a private event and that the kitchen wasn’t even open. Needless to say, we weren’t impressed with the total lack of communication from Grill 19 who made no attempt to contact me in advance to advise of the private event so I could make a reservation elsewhere. Instead my party of 6, which included 2 elderly folks, was left scrambling (with birthday cake, presents and balloons in tow) to find another restaurant who could immediately accommodate us. Very poor management and reflection on Grill 19, and sadly after this experience we are in no hurry to return.

   Mother’s Day brunch buffet was overly priced, it was good but not worth $50 a person, excluding drinks.

   The menu has changed almost entirely and they got rid of so many things we used to love. My husband ordered the filet (because they no longer had his preferred dish.) The steak was ordered medium rare, and arrived medium rare, but the outside was very charred. He said it was also essentially flavorless. My ribeye sandwich was pretty good. The meatball appetizer was also good, I am told. This used to be one of our favorite spots. It’s just not what it used to be.

   It was very nice atmosphere. Beer is priced well for size you get. Ordered the pork chop flavor was good however the food and plate where cold . Date ordered the chicken fried steak said has wonderful flavor and very tender however the plate and food was cold. We told the hostess and waitress about the temperature and hostess said she let the cook know . Wasn’t looking for a free meal but a manger coming out to speak with us or even the chef would of been thoughtful considering we spent over 50.. I will say will give it another shot because they flavor was good and I usually don’t give Second chances when my food comes out cold here’s to hoping second time is a charm .
